I typically don't write bad reviews, but I'm still dealing with my 2021 tax issue and it's 2023...Long story short, Brian M has been filing my taxes for a few years and I never had issues, which is why this location gets 2 stars instead of 1. However, in 2021, I caught an error in my filed return and we had to file an amendment. This amendment was filed incorrectly, so Brian claimed he filed a second amendment. By Sept, Oct of 2022, that 2nd amended return was not showing up on the IRS website. I finally gave up, and found a different accountant to file a second amendment which is currently being processed. This accountant also never saw a record of the 2nd amendment filed. This process was made more painful by the fact that Brian was incredibly difficult to get a hold of and when I finally did, he rushed through the conversations and made it seem like my problem wasn't important. I believe there were some issues going on with his health and family, but I would have appreciated if he had handed me off to someone else in the office, as opposed to making me feel unimportant and less than. Ultimately, this means my tax returns for 2021 are still not complete in 2023 and now the IRS believes I currently owe $1,000 in taxes, interest, and fees. Please be aware of this location. I'm unsure of what happened in 2021, but given the massive mistakes that were made and me now owing way more money than anticipated, I would advise you look elsewhere. Also, don't trust their guarantee, it is apparently very hard to file a complaint.

My tax preparer was knowledgeable and courteous and I will use H&R Block next year. Pahoua Vue took the stress out of tax season.

I met with Carol Appleton for the first time today.She was referred by a friend that's been a long-time client. Carol has been a H&R Block advisor for 30 + years. I was very impressed with Carol's professionalism & patience when she reached out for IT assistance with an issue. She was on hold for quite awhile & still remained calm. I'll definitely be referring Carol to family & friends. Keep up the good work, Carol! Your professionalism is very impressive & appreciated.

I feel like an excellent job was done and done quickly. The person who was doing my taxes passed away so I need someone new and as long as I feel comfortable with the person that did my taxes which I do. I will continue to use HR Block as long as I get my same accountant from now on.
