I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hollywood City Inn. For the price paid, my expectations were much higher compared to what I experienced. The room was clean, but nothing more. The corners had been made round. There was hair left in the bathtub and on the floor. The bedside table had been forgotten by the housewife: it was very dirty. The sheets were clean. The bathroom was dilapidated: the tap was constantly running which made noise, the toilet didn't flush very well and the towel rack was torn from the wall, so nowhere to hang our towels. Also, the room door didn't close properly, which is a little scary considering the area is poorly frequented. The hotel is not that close to Hollywood Downtown. You either have to take the metro or walk for around fifty minutes to reach the Chinese theater. The only good thing about this hotel is the included parking. But as long as we have to pay this price for such a bad experience, we might as well book a room outside of Hollywood and pay for parking on site which would be cheaper and would allow us to have a better experience.

Rooms are usefully furnished.
Rooms: Nothing special, small fridge, loud air conditioning but fine for 4 nights in expensive Los Angeles.
Nearby activities: Good location
Safety: There are cameras everywhere.
Walkability: Grocery store on foot in 3 minutes.
Food and drinks: Ice cube dispenser

I only stayed here for one day. The transportation is very convenient. There are shopping malls and many restaurants nearby. The sidewalks nearby are a bit dirty, but the price and free parking in the city are great.

The location is pretty good.
It is very convenient to train and bus.
The price is also very reasonable, you can’t be picky about it.
The room and bathroom are relatively small, but adequate.

Honnêtement pour le prix, c'était suffisant ! C'était bruyant la nuit (nous sommes tombés à côté de quelqu'un qui avait mis la télé à fond), mais nous étions tellement fatigués par le décalage horaire que ça nous a pas plus dérangé que ça. Chambre et salle de bain un peu vieillotte mais rien de gênant non plus. Gros gros plus pour le parking gratuit, et sur le fait qu'on est en plein dans Hollywood.

Rooms: We got two double bedded room. It was good value for money hotel.

We had a 3 queen bedroom and it looks a lot better than what is in the photos. It also has a free parking spaces. The only concern I had is that the air conditioner is a bit loud at night, but everything else is good. It is also accessible to a lot of stores outside - Target, SB, Leo’s Tacos etc. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay in LA, this is the place! Thank you, Hollywood City Inn.

Location, near train line,near bus line, near grocery store. Great location for universal, we'll be back soon. Parking is provided so we didn't have to worry about it being broken into.
Walkability: Near subway and bus station
Near Ralph's
Great restaurants
Food and drinks: Ice cream and starbucks near by
Noteworthy details: Only 24 minutes to Universal via subway
