I bought my NAD 7250 PE stereo receiver in 1986 and it still works till this day in my secondary room mostly for music but it had developed an intermittent right channel at lower volumes. Found Henry's by googling authorized NAD repair centers and sent it off. Turnaround was extraordinary; under two weeks, other NAD shops had said months. Couldn't be more pleased. It sounds, and the knobs and buttons operate, better than I remember when new. Highly, highly recommended for your vintage gear. The cost was 1/4 what a "modern" replacement would have cost as I need pre out/main in for an outboard amp to run a center channel for quasi 3.2 the few times I use the TV in that room, and to integrate a MiniDSP which acts as my crossover/EQ for my dual subs. Thanks Alan.

I'm not very technically competent, so imagine my distress when my beloved NAD50.2 would not power up after years of perfect service. I live in rural Maui, and it's a struggle to find a repair guru for high quality audio equipment out here in the mid-Pacific. I contacted the factory and they referred me to Alan Kanter at Henry Radio. He called me in response to my email inquiry, and I packed up my unit up and sent it off to Alan in Los Angeles. He took a personal interest in me and in my problem, and in short order he not only fixed my NAD but he also upgraded the software and backed my music up to a thumb drive. The fees were extremely reasonable, and my music system is up and running again here at Mu'Olea Point. I'd give him "ten stars" if they'd let me !

emailed about an NAD amp issue, got an answer within 10 mins ON A SUNDAY that not only diagnosed the problem correctly, told me how I could fix myself, which I did.... this gem of a tech is honest, smart, no-nonsense, experienced. what else you need?

There are few things in life that will get me to drive into the city of Los Angeles theses day, but Henry Radio is one of them. Inconveniently located in a office building well marked, "Henry Radio" their exact location is on the 2nd floor down a long hall which can leave one confused and question if they are in the right place. Instructions are extremely helpful. But once you find it for the first time, its easy. (fyi, a cart is helpful if your device is large and heavy and the longer walk is from front end with the elevator) Once inside the doors, you are greeted by a very friendly Rachel (receptionist/cashier) who will provided you with paperwork to fill out and accept your electrics to be evaluated/repaired (don't forget to add your email and print clearly on your paperwork, haha. Now onto the real reason you should come here, and that is Alan Kanter, their technician guru. Alan is not only a really nice guy to chat with and a degreed electrical engineer, he has a lifetime of knowledge and hands on electronic troubleshooting and repair skill of an era before plug and play and disposable electronics in addition to repairing today's electronics at a fair price and timely manor. Taking to him, you will quickly learn he has a passion for music and audio. And while he has the skill to replace defective components, its labor charges which make replacing a board or assembly the way to go financially. Henry Radio along with Alan's name is now permanently in my personal address book should I every need any electronics repair.
