I am sorry you are reading this but that means you are trying to ensure you find the best final goodbye for your pet. I want to share my experience to hopefully help ease any of your nerves. We helped my sweet pup cross the rainbow bridge on December 30, 2023 but haven't had the mindset to fully revisit the final goodbye. I called heart and halos a couple times, the first time to was once we were beginning to consider euthanasia and I just wanted information and linh was very sweet. I called two times during the next few weeks to check on their availability until we were really ready to let go. We wanted to wait until after Christmas to enjoy having our sweet boy with us one last time but wanted a back up plan in case we thought he wouldn't make it. I was informed it was an extra $200 on holidays (not eve) but otherwise same price on weekends. We paid around $600 for my baby boy but they have different prices depending on after care packages and pet weight. Overall, linh had a big impact on us deciding on Heart and halos as she was very patient and compassionate. I had called other euthanasia places and they were rude and just wanted to know if you wanted to book now or would hang up. Your receptionist is a big representative of the company. About 15 minutes before our appointment time, we got a phone call from a private number to let us know their ETA. They arrived right at our appointment time, not a minute late. My judgment about the company was not wrong, Dr Susan was very sweet. Once they got to the house, I asked that her assistant wait outside and to only have Dr. Susan come inside after a few minutes while I settled into position with my baby boy. Dr. Susan went above and beyond to make sure my sweet boy did not see her. I held him on my chest sitting on our living room couch as she snuck in and kneeled behind the couch. With him facing the opposite direction, she administered the first injection. The only thing I wish I could have prepared for was that my baby did feel the first shot and it did sting him once it was administered. Nothing on the doctors practice, she even diluted it and gave me an option on how I would like the first shot, IV, IM or SQ. She recommended SQ for less pain and even advised she dilutes it with normal saline as part of her practice. As I registered nurse I know that this can happen with an injection, I just imagine it feels like getting a vaccine- very minimal pain compared to a natural death. Luckily my baby had been receiving sq fluids at the same site of the first sq injection, so my baby probably just thought I was poking him again for give him fluids. My baby boy was deep asleep within ** minutes and did not feel the second shot given intravenous. My baby boy crossed the rainbow bridge knowing he was loved, laying on my chest in the comfort of his own home. The experience of putting your childhood pet to sleep is something no one can truly prepare you for, I miss him everyday. But I rest in comfort knowing I chose the very best service to put him to rest.

What an awesome thing. A week and a half ago we had to put our 14 year old dachshund mix to sleep. Saying goodbye to the sweet boy that we loved for so long, was incredibly hard, but Hearts and Halos made it a little better. From Hazel on the phone, to Dr. MJ (Mellissa) who came to our house and showed such caring and consideration. I can't tell you what that meant to us. A zillion stars for the entire team. Thank you so much.

I had an appointment scheduled for my Maltese to have in home euthanasia with Hearts and Halos. He had lymphoma age 15 years. We took him on one last trip to the beach for the weekend and we were scheduled to return Monday and have the service done on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Clancy took a turn for the worse Monday night and was clearly in pain. Ended up taking him to a pet emergency service to put an end to his suffering. When I contacted Hearts and Halos to cancel my appointment, they were the kindest and most accommodating ever. From the very first phone call to learn about their services, to the very end of my dogs like, Autumn was compassionate, caring and very responsive to all my questions. Our plan was to have Clancy pass at home, surrounded by his family in his familiar surroundings, but it didn't go as planned. Autumn made this extremely difficult time in our lives that much better. I plan to use H and H in the future for my other pets. Thank you.

It is never an easy time when you find yourself about to lose a best friend. Hearts and Halos offers such a wonderful service of allowing your loved one to be in their own spaces where they are most comfortable at the end. From the first phone call with Autumn to meeting Dr Brice and his assistant, it was handled with such kindness and compassion. Our sweet girl didn't suffer at all and went peacefully in her favourite place surrounded by all the love. Dr Brice has a special soul to be able to help pet families with such grace.

Had to say goodbye to my beloved Theo. Highly recommend Hearts and Halos. Thank you Dr. Susan for your quiet, unobtrusive assistance. Her caring and compassion was exceptional. Theo passed the way he lived for 23 years, peacefully in my arms being cuddled and kissed. Forever thankful

I give Hearts & Halos a million star review. Every single person that I spoke to on the phone were unbelievably compassionate and helpful. The vets that came to our house were beyond compassionate. I'm glad that our Sugar Loo Bear passed away at home while eating peanut butter. Highly recommend!

Hearts and Halos - Thank you for taking such beautiful, kind, thoughtful care of our Henry. To all kind souls having to go through this - reach out to Hearts and Halos. They are simply the BEST in every way. You do not have to call a week or days in advance, which was greatly appreciated. There are no pressure tactics. Calls are gently, caringly, thoughtfully handled. (Thank you Hazel !) They can be contacted every day of the week (9 - 5 - although one of my calls was on Sunday, before 9 a.m., and they handled that call early). After learning that our beautiful, sweet, smart, loving 13 1/2 year-old lab had a huge tumor on his spleen in the fall of 2023, we contacted a number of places and are grateful for Hearts and Halos. They (and their website) helped us make some hard decisions. Dear, beautiful Dr. Susan (and kind helper!) - thank you - thank you - thank you for being so perfect through it all. Henry was so happy for the treats Dr. Susan thoughtfully brought. We miss our sweet Henry so much and will always, always purely love him. Thank you Hearts and Halos for being there to graciously guide us all. You are incredibly appreciated.

When the time came to say goodbye to our 18 year old Jack Russel we reached out to Hearts and Halos and are so glad we did. From the very first phone call inquiry we were met with such compassionate service. I wish I knew the name of the woman who took the phone calls because she was great. Dr.Bryce and his assistant arrived at our home and immediately provided a sense of calm. He explained in detail each step he was about to take and our pup passed as peacefully as we could ever imagine. Thank you Dr. Bryce and thank you to the whole team. You are doing great work. We appreciate you.

Very compassionate and caring staff from my initial phone call to set up the appointment to the same-day home visit by Dr. Amy and her husband Brad. Dr. Amy has a soft and sweet disposition, explains everything thoroughly and allowed us all the time we needed. I highly recommend Hearts and Halos.

i would never recommend this hearts and halos in gardena...very unprofessional, disrespectful, sloppy service..my small pet's remains were treated with total disrespect and returned to me in cheap paper box with baggie opened, horrific odor with remains falling out and i was treated horribly by megan...very unprofessional, rude and dismissive....meghan denied she did anything wrong and refused to give me full refund like i deserve....fortunately, my credit card company agreed/sided with me and i ended up receiving a full refund!!!!!! shame on everyone at hearts and halos in gardena, absolutely disgusting way to mishandle my baby's remains....

This place is wonderful. They are taking good care of our baby's last resting place. I can't say enough good things about them, basically because I'm in tears.

I discovered that my 13.5-year-old Silky terrier Gizmo had a large mass in his intestinal tract and was suffering from internal bleeding. I made the agonizing decision to send him across the rainbow bridge on May 12th. The team from Hearts & Halo made the process so smooth. From speaking to Autumn at intake to Dr Bryce (one of the most empathetic persons I've ever met) who helped Gizmo transition, to speaking with Heather with aftercare. I loved that each of them explained the process at every step of the way. Although my heart hurts I am so thankful of how gentle and patient they were with my family and I as we said our goodbyes. When our babies are sick, we want the best care possible for them and for my experience it was better than I could have imagined.

Cannot say enough about the amazing care we received from Dr. Sarah and her assistant. They both made an extremely difficult process easier for our family. The care and concern from them is unmatched. We really appreciated how they walked us through the entire process and showed genuine care and interest in our sweet Boris. This was our second time utilizing the services of Hearts & Halos. I highly recommend them!
