Exactly a year ago I stumbled into healthy spot with a dog who had been spray painted blue that I randomly found wandering through DTLA and came in for a grooming. Out came out Luz. I didn't have much to go off of, I had never groomed any dog at Healthy Spot before. After leaving that day with a newly fresh dog, I realized how amazing Luz was. Today I brought in my first dog. He's 9, (and officially siblings with the blue dog I mentioned earlier). Gosh. To have a groomer so honestly tell me what ways I could be better with my dog at home, and unabashedly told me what was causing some of his pain, was incredible. I am a first time dog owner. Although I have had my dog for a few years, I'm still a forever student when it comes to being a parent. I so rarely find vets that will tell me exactly what I can do to make sure my dog is comfortable at home, so to have Luz, outright tell me what was causing his pain, which was absolutely avoidable on my end, I am forever grateful. Luz put my dog and his well being over everything else. Luz did such a fantastic job grooming him - and I wish I could do more than just write a silly Yelp review. So I hope this gets some traction at Healthy Spot and groomers that go above and beyond get rewarded because today, the service, was exceptional. Thank you for making sure my dog is comfortable and educating me on ways I can do that at home. It means the world to me.

Do not take your dog here for grooming. I had a scheduled appointment and upon dropping my pup off I was advised it would take 2 hours. I come back 2 hours later and my pup was still locked up in a kennel yelping and was told they did not start because they were busy. I would not have written this review if they were up front and called me about this instead they let my pup locked in a kennel. The tens that run the day to day do not have an ounce of empathy or customer service.

I used to love this store and have supported their business for over 10 years. But Healthy Spot has become a place that unfortunately is toxic for the pet owners mind, body and soul. With so many other options for pet supplies, why subject yourself to possibly one of the worst customer service experiences ever? Before I begin the bash- let me say that this situation could have very, very well been avoided with proper training and effective communication. The staff are walking around like deer caught in headlights at the request that requires them to use any critical thinking and demonstrate an ounce of leadership. The company has expanded into multiple affluent neighborhoods and offer online shopping and delivery. A great convenience, however not so great if you need to do a return. Apparently the computer system is out of date and has no way of communicating with the brick and mortar stores unless the customer saves an email. In my case, I lost that particular email that contained the purchase confirmation. And the store doesn't have a copy of it either- which was odd. However I did provide an email from their customer support team saying that they would accept a return and to simply go into a store to follow through. When I did, I was met with disagreeable, argumentative associates who would not accept the return. There was no manager to speak to and no one could provide the name of a manager to call at a later time. I was referred to an email address and told to email my concern. Frustrated, I picked up my belongings and walked out the door, only to be followed in such a creepy, stalker like way by the associate who was yelling after me saying they needed to document more information. Had the associate taken all that information down in the beginning and had me forward the email approving the return, I should have been in and out in 5-10 minutes tops. Instead I left unresolved, unsatisfied and feeling fearful at the bizarre zombie like behavior of the associate. I locked my car doors and left. Wrote in to customer support because they have no phone number to call. Still have received zero reply. Healthy spot- your people are not properly trained. They lack essential inter personal communication and basic, bare bones customer service skills necessary to keep a business alive. It is wrong on soooo many levels to treat human beings alone in the way that I was treated. It feels like a reflection of the times- customer no support is now the new norm. Is it fashionable to be treated with disrespect and rudeness? If so, I should give a five star review in another post. But seriously- If you're not going to invest in the education of customer service communication and etiquette with your people then at least invest in the computer so that if any critical thinking, compassion, kindness and real customer service are required- the computer can do it. Thank you for the 10+ years Healthy Spot. It's time for me to make other purchasing choices.

I brought my puppy Bailey here for grooming and Carmen did an excellent job! I first took her to petco and they butchered her haircut and left most of her hair on her head (looked like a helmet) and ears. She also came back home super drowsy which was suspicious. But Healthy Spot completely exceeded my expectations and Carmen was so sweet and gentle with Bailey. I could tell Bailey was really comfortable with her. Thanks again to Carmen and the rest of the staff at Healthy Spot! Bailey and I will definitely return soon, and I'm excited to check out the rest of the store!

Amazing first time groomers experience(: My pup baby is 6.5 months old and it was our first time dropping her off and having he get an official grooming by professionals. She def had separation anxiety and she howled and barked as I left her T__T but I wanted her to get her first groom/deshedding special to prep her for the hot summer to come! Alejandra was so sweet and amazing with her ^_^ Poor Frida was def traumatized as she's never been left with anyone aside friends or family but overall a great experience. She got a bunch of dog treats and puppy yogurt after from this spot after I picked her up. Def recommend for those hesitant in regards to pet grooming. I love that they opened a location in DTLA! Lots of dog owners here so def a smart call!

this review concerns customer service, rather than the actual service on the animal. I brought my dog in to be groomed in March and they requested a recent rabies certificate. I've provided them with the tag, and I assumed that they would make a note of this. However, when I brought my dog back again in May, they did not have a record of the rabies certificate that I had brought in. I told them I would be happy to go home and email them a copy of the rabies tag but the groomer said she didn't want to do that. So I said OK I will go home and pick up the tag and bring it in personally. I asked them to just hold onto the dog, so I did not have to take her back home with me. However, they refuse to do that saying they could not hold onto the dog. Plus, I had to walk back home with the dog go upstairs pick up the tag and go back to the store. This might not be so terrible, were not for the fact that I am almost 80 years old, and have had to back operations which limit my ability to walk for any extended period. I subsequently wrote to the CEO as well as the person who manages retail operations and asked if they could please follow up with me and let me know what was done so this situation would not repeat itself. It's been 10 days now and I have heard nothing from anyone. The company for parts to care for animals. It might be nice if the company also gave a damn about their owners. The employees were negligent to begin with, and then totally unaccommodating and unapologetic. If I had an automobile, I would definitely go someplace else, but I am stuck since they are the only people in walking distance. I am very distressed that this company has not responded

Staff is very friendly. Took my dog for a temperament test and they communicated well, and would definitely trust them if I ever have to drop him off. Thankfully I haven't but I know where to go in case. I go here to purchase dog kibble, treats, & toppers. The staff has always been patient, helpful, & kind towards Milo & I. Milo is a picky eater so I've been lucky enough to be allowed to return everything he's not liked & have been able to find what he does enjoy! Thank you!
