Really like this pet shop. The toys are cool and the grooming department is amazing. The staff are really friendly and care about the animals.

I have been going to heathy spot off and on for about 5 years with my Yorkie... I never really loved their work but they've always done an OK job; sometimes better than others and despite the pricey cuts it's very convenient and a close walk to my house. The staff is pretty friendly until they're NOT, and the store has high quality dog merchandise/foods. Once I found “the pupper club” I realized my dog was getting mediocre cuts that were VERY expensive but unfortunately they closed the downtown location so I ended up back at healthy spot for overpriced subpar cuts. The last time I took my dog to healthy spot for a grooming. They charged me a whopping 160$$!!! 110$ for the cut which literally looked like I did it myself and a 50$$ late fee. I'm usually never even a minute late to pick up my dog, I actually live around the corner. Unfortunately this day in particular I had an extenuating circumstance. Rules are rules but as a 5 year patron I thought they could've waived the late fee. Also a 50$ sitting fee for a couple of HOURS is INSANE!!! And should definitely qualify as robbery. I board my dog overnight at a luxury dog boarding puppy hotel for 35$ a night. This haircut was sooooo horrendous and heinous that you would just have to see the pics to believe it yourself. The only reason I'm leaving a 2 star review is because I did eventually get a refund but they put up a fight first, which is also unbelievable. The staff at the healthy spot had always been nice until I ran into an issue with the cut and refused to pay. You can find a much cheaper/ better groomer than healthy spot. Honestly petsmart would've done a better job than the last cut my dog received. I left pics of his cut immediately after the cut from healthy spot and pics of him immediately after a good grooming from "the pupper club". His hair doesn't grow fast so I'm still suffering Daily a month later. I’m infuriated all over again every time I see my cute boy looking like a stray.

Exactly a year ago I stumbled into healthy spot with a dog who had been spray painted blue that I randomly found wandering through DTLA and came in for a grooming. Out came out Luz. I didn't have much to go off of, I had never groomed any dog at Healthy Spot before. After leaving that day with a newly fresh dog, I realized how amazing Luz was. Today I brought in my first dog. He's 9, (and officially siblings with the blue dog I mentioned earlier). Gosh. To have a groomer so honestly tell me what ways I could be better with my dog at home, and unabashedly told me what was causing some of his pain, was incredible. I am a first time dog owner. Although I have had my dog for a few years, I'm still a forever student when it comes to being a parent. I so rarely find vets that will tell me exactly what I can do to make sure my dog is comfortable at home, so to have Luz, outright tell me what was causing his pain, which was absolutely avoidable on my end, I am forever grateful. Luz put my dog and his well being over everything else. Luz did such a fantastic job grooming him - and I wish I could do more than just write a silly Yelp review. So I hope this gets some traction at Healthy Spot and groomers that go above and beyond get rewarded because today, the service, was exceptional. Thank you for making sure my dog is comfortable and educating me on ways I can do that at home. It means the world to me.

Do not take your dog here for grooming. I had a scheduled appointment and upon dropping my pup off I was advised it would take 2 hours. I come back 2 hours later and my pup was still locked up in a kennel yelping and was told they did not start because they were busy. I would not have written this review if they were up front and called me about this instead they let my pup locked in a kennel. The tens that run the day to day do not have an ounce of empathy or customer service.

I used to love this store and have supported their business for over 10 years. But Healthy Spot has become a place that unfortunately is toxic for the pet owners mind, body and soul. With so many other options for pet supplies, why subject yourself to possibly one of the worst customer service experiences ever? Before I begin the bash- let me say that this situation could have very, very well been avoided with proper training and effective communication. The staff are walking around like deer caught in headlights at the request that requires them to use any critical thinking and demonstrate an ounce of leadership. The company has expanded into multiple affluent neighborhoods and offer online shopping and delivery. A great convenience, however not so great if you need to do a return. Apparently the computer system is out of date and has no way of communicating with the brick and mortar stores unless the customer saves an email. In my case, I lost that particular email that contained the purchase confirmation. And the store doesn't have a copy of it either- which was odd. However I did provide an email from their customer support team saying that they would accept a return and to simply go into a store to follow through. When I did, I was met with disagreeable, argumentative associates who would not accept the return. There was no manager to speak to and no one could provide the name of a manager to call at a later time. I was referred to an email address and told to email my concern. Frustrated, I picked up my belongings and walked out the door, only to be followed in such a creepy, stalker like way by the associate who was yelling after me saying they needed to document more information. Had the associate taken all that information down in the beginning and had me forward the email approving the return, I should have been in and out in 5-10 minutes tops. Instead I left unresolved, unsatisfied and feeling fearful at the bizarre zombie like behavior of the associate. I locked my car doors and left. Wrote in to customer support because they have no phone number to call. Still have received zero reply. Healthy spot- your people are not properly trained. They lack essential inter personal communication and basic, bare bones customer service skills necessary to keep a business alive. It is wrong on soooo many levels to treat human beings alone in the way that I was treated. It feels like a reflection of the times- customer no support is now the new norm. Is it fashionable to be treated with disrespect and rudeness? If so, I should give a five star review in another post. But seriously- If you're not going to invest in the education of customer service communication and etiquette with your people then at least invest in the computer so that if any critical thinking, compassion, kindness and real customer service are required- the computer can do it. Thank you for the 10+ years Healthy Spot. It's time for me to make other purchasing choices.

I brought my puppy Bailey here for grooming and Carmen did an excellent job! I first took her to petco and they butchered her haircut and left most of her hair on her head (looked like a helmet) and ears. She also came back home super drowsy which was suspicious. But Healthy Spot completely exceeded my expectations and Carmen was so sweet and gentle with Bailey. I could tell Bailey was really comfortable with her. Thanks again to Carmen and the rest of the staff at Healthy Spot! Bailey and I will definitely return soon, and I'm excited to check out the rest of the store!
