Very BAD customer service (possibly racial as I’m Latino).I went in to get change as daughters graduation is coming up so wanted to change some $20’s to new single new dollar bills. I was wearing a business suit as well.She denied me service claiming they have a policy and can’t help me because I’m not a member. What I just wanted change????Ok, so sign me up. Again, denied me on the spot because she claimed you need to make a reservation to get an account?Clearly not a place to do business with and won’t do business with them in the future!

Worse bank service ever!! Small Korean bank. Came to cash out check and they made me wait over 1 hour to cash out a check since they had to call the other bank to get authorization to cash out the check?! The lady that authorizes still at home so for her convenience I had to wait another 30min for her to login into the system lol this is unbelievable! How in this world this is possible?? lol Small banks sucks!? I'm so confused! The system in this bank is from the 80's! I do not get how they can work this way in 2022! They don't function on Saturday's either! They put hold on your check for one week if you direct deposit into your account! Hanmi bank needs a better system, or someone please let the ceo knows this is 2022! They suck really bad in customer service!

Can you give them a ZERO? I have never had such a negative banking experience before. I had a check from them a few months back and it took 3 weeks to clear my account. This time I decided to go in and cash it so it would be quicker. They charge a fee if you don't have an account, which I get. Anyway, I asked a question about the turn around time and the policy. At this point the teller and the manger started speaking exclusively in Korean while standing front of me. This continued on for about 7 minutes and then they asked me to step aside and wait. Not sure why, I was paying a fee to cash a check. Pretty simple transaction. I did have a question, but if they didn't know the answer a quick we can't really answer that would have been fine. I wasn't a account holder, wasn't planning on opening an account. Between driving there, parking and paying the $5 fee, I think I will wait the 3 STINKING WEEKS next time!Also, good rule of thumb. NEVER EVER, hire an attorney who banks with Hanmi! See post on John C. Ye, Attorney at Law.
