I think it's awesome to have and support small businesses within the community especially when they are customer service and minority/diversity oriented; but yet I haven't been very successful when trying to visit this market. Would somebody please update the hours please.

Amazing little hub marketplace! Blackowned mini mart neat, clean and vibrant. There is a variety of fresh and gorgeous fruits and vegetables and a unique array of dry goods, beverages , and specialty items. I happened to visit while they were doing a trial weekly Farmers Market in a unique way. They producers they were working with brought in beautiful produce and meat as a gift to the community. I came for the two weeks each Thursday and the food I was gifted was amazing! They carry my favorite kombucha and specialty items like Mike's Hot Honey. I really appreciate their focus on fresh, clean, and wholesome products. This is a unique community market in that it is not loaded with junk food like the majority of corner stores. I will continue to shop here and support their efforts. I hope the Farmers Market works out because it was the best produce and meat I've ever seen at one.

Super friendly and helpful. Store is well organized and has fresh and healthy foods. Great for a quick snack or pick up items to make a meal with. Really glad to have a community-enriching space like this in Hyde Park.

I was skating by this place on the way to the next skate park and it is phenomenal. Pro-black art and nice staff, a table to sit and eat. It's truly a convience store. The owners clearly care about the futures and long-term lives of black Americans.Cleaning supplies, pet food, alcohol and healthy snacks/drinks. It's awesome!

Stupendously grateful for this little gem in the community. They're striving to bring more fresh and healthy food options as well as serving as a hub to serve the community. Some of the ready to eat meals are scrumptious. It's beautiful and welcoming, and I feel like they are just getting started. Thanks Hank's!!

Japanese super Hank's Mini Market with affordable prices. Smaller than Mitsuwa with no food court. A good place to buy Japanese products while on a budget.

Always attentive , clean, friendly. I love that the owner is carrying on her father's business. We need more generational black businesses. This is one. Also has a seating area inside you could escape the weather at for a bit to it get some alone time for a hour or so . No one has been sitting there anytime I stop by during COVID but a sign on the table encourages social distant occupancy so I assume we can sit .

My favorite local grocery store. They carry all the staple items you need with out going to a large grocery store. I love supporting this small business.

Heard Kelly’s interview on the Strong Towns “It’s the Little Things” podcast. Very inspiring! Bravo!
