They’ve been watching my big breed for 12 years and I wouldn’t let another soul do the job. A+. The new owner is very reasonable and easy to talk with too.

Dr Dean and staff are incredible! I was completely at ease taking my 3 older pets in for their checkups. My dog and 2 cats were taken such great care of during their exams, and blood draws. Communication and pricing was outstanding. We are lucky to have found a clinic with such a compassionate veterinarian and staff!

Very nice staff and veterinarian. But they charged me MORE THAN double the price as my other vet for the same routine injection of cytopoint. And they charged me $36 more for the lab technician who did nothing.
Very disappointing. And I definitely will find a different vet In this area! They wanted to charge $3600 for dental work as well

Amazing vets! Our anxious pit bull (hates vets) loves them! Really feel they care, provide top rate service and take the time to explain what they are doing and what we should expect.

Doctor Dean is great! Caring, knowledgeable and didn’t try to overtreat my African grey, and made a point about staying conservative. She also knew how to handle my parrot, which was surprising! Will be using her moving forward as my Vet.

Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic stepped up for us when our cat exhibited scary symptoms and our (former) usual vet was too understaffed to see him. Hancock Park squeezed him in, confirmed the problem, and suggested simple preventative care his former vet had not thought of. We will be going to Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic from now on for all our pets needs. I am just sorry we didn't go there sooner.

My dog any I love this place. They have always checked put my dog Since he was a puppy. He's had a tumor removed successfully thanks to these amazing vets. Lately the prices have increased so I honestly only bring my dog when really necessary. Highly recommended this place to anyone!

Because this practice no longer performs non anesthetic dental cleanings, I've unfortunately had to find another veterinarian. Apparently, California law requires that a pet be examined prior to dental cleaning so our pets would require two exams if they have non anesthetic done elsewhere, but continued with pet wellness services at Hancock. Also, I have an 11 year old cat and a 12 year old cat and not sure how safe it is to put them under general anesthesia once a year for dental work.

Having been a client for over 8 years, my experience was exceptional when Dr. White was leading the practice. However, since her retirement in December 2023, and with the introduction of two new stakeholders, I have noticed a significant increase in prices and practices. I was particularly surprised by the cost of dental cleaning. Last year in 2023, I paid $200 for non-anesthetic cleaning, but I was informed by the current doctors and technicians at the clinic that they no longer recommend or provide non-anesthetic cleaning. The cost of anesthetic cleaning was quoted to be between $1500 and $2000, excluding any additional procedures. Fun facts: The same clinic had removed several teeth from my dog in 2020 for $1500 (anesthetic procedure). Furthermore, I found the staff to be less accommodating and difficult to contact. After my experience, I decided to explore other veterinary clinics to potentially become a new client. I inquired about dental cleaning quotes and discovered that non-anesthetic cleaning is an option for most pets unless otherwise advised. I advise others to do their research and reach out to other reputable clinics. It seems that Hancock Park Veterinary Clinic may not be as trustworthy as they appear. I believe that giving the new management a one-star rating is too generous. If possible, I would rate them with a negative star.

Had a great experience with this clinic when moving abroad with my cats. They did all the health checks and vaccinations for me and prepared all the paperwork I needed to move to Germany with them. They always double checked all info with me and overnighted the health certificates to me well in time before my flight.

I was hoping this place was going to be our vet clinic for a while, we've been coming here for a couple of years. Dr. White has been great and our overall experience was good, although some of the procedures we got were pricey. Dr. White has recently retired I believe. So we wanted to get dental work (teeth cleaning) done for our 14 year old dog. We try to get it every 6 months for him. We were told that the new vet doctors now require blood work to be done before the dental work, which would be $369. In addition to that, they said that depending on what needed to be done, the dental work could run up to $1000+. We've never payed anything close to that the past 2 times we took our dog there for the procedure. So if we get his teeth cleaned twice a year, that's potentially $2738+ yearly, just for this procedure. Their front desk workers are nice and courteous, although they did forget to properly remind us (through email or their app) for this appointment. With Dr. White retiring I'm not sure if this place is going to be the same, so unfortunately we will most likely be looking elsewhere for our pets to go...

Avoid using this clinic if you’re traveling abroad with your pet - my mom spent an entire month preparing them for her departure only for them to mess up the dogs certification paperwork 3 times within 72 hours of her flight. They were not forthcoming about their mistakes and attempted to play the blame game with us, sending us on a wild goose chase to get information from the USDA Endorsement Office about the status of the certificate knowing all along that they made several mistakes that set the endorsement process back several days. The lack of communication, transparency and accountability from this office is intolerable, but oh man were they quick to charge us for their “services”. If you enjoy losing sleep and potentially your pet this is the clinic for you. Otherwise I’d recommend you keep your distance and look elsewhere.
