“Sooooo... I drank the Crossfit Kool-aid. After years of watching my husband practice this crazy sport, I finally gave in.
I am not now, nor have I ever been a sporty person. I started coming to Mixtape for their yoga classes. Loved it. I then moved on to spin classes. Yes! I can do this. Now I'm doing the crazy WOD (Workout of the Day). I'm actually doing things in the gym I would have never thought I could do.
The coaches are without exception knowledgeable,
approachable, and encouraging. They modify and accomodate the workouts to your level of fitness. The facility is not like a typical chain gym, but it is clean and welcoming. But the NUMBER ONE REASON why I keep coming back is the sense of community that Coaches Sadie and Jason have fostered in their business. “I’ve been training with Coach Karl at Movement Society for the last 3-4 months and have had a great experience. I came to Movement Society as a mid-30s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / MMA hobbyist looking to increase my athleticism and decrease my chances for injury. Coach Karl asked thoughtful questions and carefully analyzed my needs. He helped me realize my full body motions were strong, but my hips were tight and my single leg stability was compromised. He designed a program to address these issues. Since then, I’ve continuously noticed how much stronger I am in positions I previously struggled with. My grappling strength has improved quite a bit; and I’m able to keep up with other practitioners who are significantly younger and more spry than myself.During this time, I also pulled my back doing Jiu Jitsu and saw Dr Tony Dang for several sessions — he put me back together quickly and I was able to start training again within a month.I’d highly recommend Movement Society for personal training and PT, and I see myself coming here for a long time.”

“I truly enjoy rev cycle's non-cycling classes and the facilities are newer. My least favorite aspect about Rev is that the single-occupancy restroom is often understocked--no hand soap etc. Despite this, easy access to the location and parking always available in the side streets.”

“I've reviewed here before but I LOVE this place. You get all your cardio, strength and ABs in 1 hour. It packs a PUNCH. I've gone to a million studios on ClassPass and this is by far the most effective and most bang for your buck. I am wasted by the time I'm done and I never feel like I need to do more cardio after. It's high intensity but low impact, so I wake up the next day feeling healthy, unlike a lot of CrossFit/HIIT classes I've taken. Plyometrics use mostly body weight and equipment you could technically buy at home- so if you can transfer the exercises you do in class to at home (I lack the motivation to workout alone at home) it's a great place to learn new things It is a HARD workout, and I'm usually the only girl (its core members are mostly local West Hollywood men who are very fit). The trainers are really helpful and attentive and kind, and they play great music with a TON of female musicians (love). I can't recommend this workout enough! Definitely try it if you're a ClassPass member or local to West Hollywood looking for a great workout.”

I've been coming every week for JACKSON, my absolute fav who is so entertaining.I've been taking the Spindigo class (SPIN + weights) at 7 AM and it's challenging and very rewarding.Jackson finds time to correct our form and check in on us while also vogueing and dancing in the front of the class. His music taste is impeccable and he plays high tempo remixes of our favorite songs (he even plays mostly songs sung by women which I adore). Booking it out every week thru ClassPass thank u.Parking is pretty good, the lot or the streets are usually open”

“Great location and experience. Staff are welcoming and helpful and shakes are good. Would give 5 but there is a small changing room and shower facilities are limited (only 3 in male changing). The mic system also could be better, there were times the instructor didn’t come through clearly which made it a bit difficult to know what to do next. But overall a good place to work out!”

“I found the gym Venice off of class Pass and I'm so glad I did Faren Shannon and kris are so great. They offer a women's strength training class two times a week every Sunday morning at 9 AM and every Wednesday night at 8 PM Faren sure knows how to put a work out together that will kick your ass. Shannon is great at providing different accommodations based off skill level and/or injury. Kris is super motivating and is super helpful in guiding you when you're working out on the bench press. Bonus is that Sydney makes an appearance occasionally (Kris's dog) lol My schedule has stopped me from going back the last month, but the atmosphere and the regulars who show up on Sundays are calling my name. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out the gym venice”
