“I’m a pickle addict, my love for pickles started at a very young age. When I started seeing these all over TikTok and Instagram, everything pointed at these being the perfect pickles for pickle lovers and man were they right!!I ordered myself a jar of the classic dill wholes and the honey mustard chips. Even with 15% off, I won’t lie that they were VERY pricey, especially considering I only got 7 pickles in my jar of classic dill. Luckily, shipping was really quick and it only took 8 days to make it from LA to ATL and I even ordered on Christmas Day.Now for the real part of the review, the actual pickles themselves. WOW! These are the most fresh, premium, and crunchy pickles that I’ve ever had. Not a single pickle in the jar that’s either broken, crushed, squishy, or gross which I was very satisfied with.The classic dill are really solid, I do wish they were a little more sour than they are, but the flavor they have definitely hits the spot like a good classic deli pickle would.The honey mustard though, I can very much so see the hype about. It’s a concept that doesn’t make any sense and even looks and smells a little weird. But that taste is so incredibly unique that it’s difficult to describe, it’s something you just have to try for yourself and had me hooked after just a single chip.I gotta give great kudos to Scott for what he’s been doing with this business. He’s really nailed the concept of what a great pickle should be and I’m so very glad I got to try it. I only wish that they were a little cheaper, I don’t mind paying more for a really good pickle, but over $15 for a 32 oz jar seems a little bit excessive especially when shipping is another $12.75. Hopefully I can get out to LA sometime soon and try more flavors with the $3 pickle flight at their store!”

They have an excellent selection of products, which continues to expand as time goes on. “Cannot say enough amazing things about Fatty Mart. The place itself is adorable, the food is delicious (you can get amazing made to order snacks like this Taiwanese breakfast roll made with scallion pancake) AND already prepared deliciousness from Little Fattys (Taiwanese Sunday Gravy is my favorite).The real shining star here though is the staff. Manager Eric is incredibly friendly and truly part of the reason I’ve kept coming back! Jackie & Emiliano are so kind and have helped make drinks, recommendations, and just the friendliest encounters. Highly recommend.”
“We have lived here since 1970. It's Oscar night so I commented that I needed to get back to the Oscars. He said that they were a joke . Always have had great people running Ambrose. Tonight I went in and commented that my ex husband loved soccer which was on the tv. The rude guy behind the counter said he must have liked really cheap wine. " like 3.99 a bottle huh ?!" obviously he was not a fan of Argentine people!!! I said he was being rude , and he suggested that I complain to Ryan ( I don't know if Ryan is the owner or mgr. ) WTF ! “Employees are very friendly and will ask you if you need help. My cashier was kind and friendly even with my brain farts. I was able to find peppers which is surprisingly hard to find lately especially good ones. I bought some of the Jalapeño poppers and I swear they are the best thing ever so yummy and easy to cook. I also stocked up on some broccoli and burger buns. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised at how fairly inexpensive it was considering how expensive groceries are these days anywhere else. And the quality of the items are great. The store was also clean and organized which is always good.”

And this location on Burton Way stands out from all of them because of the caring, attentive, helpful and always cheerful employees. I cannot say enough about these people. If you need something…they help with a caring way. Living in Los Angeles…I can go to any of the 3 stores in my area, but I choose to come to this one on Burton Way for the great people in this store. Go see for yourself! You’ll see why I say this!!”
“They have all your basic home, car, and kitchen needs all for really cheap prices. they have a lot of glassware for $1 or less. Most of their items are $1-2. You can find generic brands of household items for cheap. You can also get gallons of water for 30 cents a gallon.”
“I just came back from Japan and was excited to see this place while visiting Santa Monica. Pretty reasonable prices for imported goods, saw lots of stuff I haven’t seen at smaller Japanese markets in SF Bay where I live. However, the egg sandwich is inedible. If you’re hoping for a sandwich like 7-11/Lawsons, etc, skip this. I love eggs everything and was disappointed.”
“Love this place! Live in the area and come and get a coffee on the regular. Everyone who works there is so nice and I love that you can sit outside and enjoy your coffee. I also love their tapioca bowls they make daily and they are a really great price. Yes some of the items are pricey but it’s a small shop so I’m not surprised. “I was shopping in an unfamiliar place and when I got lost and didn't know where the items were, the female employee (Korean?) kindly guided me and explained things, which was best of all. It was the best shopping because there was a variety of vegetables and meats available. Fresh vegetables and good prices. I liked it~”

“This market/grocery store is improving and I am stopping here for more than beer and backwoods now. They carry different items including organic and dietary-restricted items which we love to see. Even a tiny produce section. With these improvements, I am shopping here more often but can still give the feel of shopping at the liquor store vs a market/grocery store because the produce or fresh item section is so small and has almost no variety that with Smart & Final and Ralph's at just about the same distance they usually get more of my business. Also, prices are significantly higher, which is something I understand in working with small independent businesses most of my life. However, 3 times the price of some items isn't something I can't do. At the end of July 2023, they did have a Sunday Farmers Market which was in a partnership with an existing farmers market. This shows me that they are trying to better meet the community's needs and not just their pockets. So I'll continue to support where and when I can.”

“Wow what an experience! As soon as I walked in I was greeted! He explained to me how the experience worked and walked me through what I needed to do to weigh my jars.There are so many options! The QR system is so easy to use to pull up nutritional facts about each item. There are so many items! From protein powders, chocolates, soap, nuts, soups, sugars, flour etc. A chefs dream!The store is beautiful. And I am so excited to come here again!”
