On the Terrace you’ll stand at the top of the hill and you can watch the whole LA city. Really nice vista. I visited the “centered in the universe” show, it was great. My suggestion to improve the show would be to show more the projected sky of the LA than the recorded film. The recorded film was also a bit pixelated that could be optimized in the higher video quality but very good summarized and storied. The story teller was really good, even as well as acting in an hollywood movie. ;)
The opportunity to see through the telescope was very great. But my recommendation would be to extend the opening hours.
The very weak point was the parking areas. It was really awful. I should have parked the car about 2 miles away at the road side and walked about 30 Minutes uphill getting there. And 10$ per hour. You don‘t know how long you will be there. If you stay in the line of telescope, it takes about 1 hour to get inside. And the show itself takes also 35 Minutes. If you have a parking ticket of two hours, then you will have just 1 hour at top of right there, because you need 30 Minutes uphill and 30 Minutes downhill to get the car, in the case that you can‘f find a parking place closer to the Observatory. And if you book 4 hours then 40$, it‘s really really expensive for the side parking. Also either you have to get there without the car or be early as possible there to find a closer parking spot that you shouldn’t walk longways.

I’ve never been to this place. But it’s definitely on my go to list. Who else knows that Terminator 1 opening scene was shot here.

The road is very difficult,
Even though it's Wednesday, there's a lot of traffic. It takes over an hour to cover a distance of less than 5km, so parking is difficult.

Nice place to hanging around and night time have nice view for city of los angeles.
On December 16, 1896, 3,015 acres (12.20 km2) of land surrounding the observatory was donated to the City of Los Angeles by Griffith J. Griffith. In his will Griffith donated funds to build an observatory, exhibit hall, and planetarium on the donated land. Griffith's objective was to make astronomy accessible by the public, as opposed to the prevailing idea that observatories should be located on remote mountaintops and restricted to scientists.
Griffith drafted detailed specifications for the observatory. In drafting the plans, he consulted with Walter Adams, the future director of Mount Wilson Observatory, and George Ellery Hale, who founded (with Andrew Carnegie) the first astrophysical telescope in Los Angeles.
As a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project, construction began on June 20, 1933, using a design developed by architect John C. Austin based on preliminary sketches by Russell W. Porter. The observatory and accompanying exhibits were opened to the public on May 14, 1935, as the country's third planetarium. In its first five days of operation the observatory logged more than 13,000 visitors. Dinsmore Alter was the museum's director during its first years.
The building combines Greek and Beaux-Arts influences, and the exterior is embellished with the Greek key pattern.
During World War II the planetarium was used to train pilots in celestial navigation. The planetarium was again used for this purpose in the 1960s to train Apollo program astronauts for the first lunar missions source wiki. සංජීව

We chose this location both because of the incredible views of LA and the Hollywood Sign, and also because it taps in to our interest of the cosmos. Very interesting exhibits, although not very big in itself. Parking was a little bit of a pain when we were there, with the parking lot being full, but there is a lot of parking down the road if you don't mind a walk.
