The mangement is very poor, all kid aged young people work. No seriousness, sitting on the front desk, sleeping on the front sofa, requested the internet on the treadmill internet for 3weeks Noone fixed it. Tarred seats in gym seats ?, I have vip service membership but I feel like when ever I bring someone they say put your email. I pay more money but they treat bullshit. I think responsible people wake up. It's serious business and we pay for that. Don't bring kids mentality people to work in front desk. Thank you

Love this place! I go almost every day at 5 am and always but always.. the women's lockers, showers and actually the entire facility is clean!! Rocio Hernandez is the staff member that works the night shift and is responsible of keeping the facility spotless and impeccable. She is also super friendly and professional. Staff is professional. Great job Golds Gym!!⭐

I’ve been going to this location for nearly 20 years, and it’s not the value it was. The facility itself is adequate, but the class selection needs some work. Prior to Covid I took a lot of classes, especially yoga. There were many choices for yoga classes on different days at a variety of times. Now, only two yoga classes a week, with a great one buried on Mondays at 1:00. They need to bring back the morning yoga classes that were very popular, as well as a Saturday morning class that was also well attended. I know the Monday yoga teacher has an awesome class and would like to add some more classes. Come on management, give the people what they want and bring our yoga back!

The gym itself is simply okay. Very packed all the time though. There are hidden fees and I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for over a month with no response so be warned that it’s a little scammy vibes-wise.

Management is in need of an extreme wake-up.
1. The staff is useless. They do a decent job of folding towels and greeting you from behind the counter. That is all. At any given time, there are 2-3 people standing around with no real purpose.
My suggestion, get them to reorganize the weights at the end of the night. If they show they care, maybe the customers will too. At the very least, they will be earning their paycheck.
2. Cleanliness is lacking. I've been here about 6 times in the last couple of weeks, normally before 2 pm, and I've only seen the cleaning staff one time, same Hispanic lady. She was cleaning the windows one of the times.
The sanitizing sprays usually barely have any in them, and I've shown up at 5 in the morning when they open.
3. It is very overcrowded. That's obviously a good thing. Use the staff to enforce some sort sort of order. I've seen a diverse number of clients with no gym etiquette whatsoever, who better to learn this from than the staff. I seriously doubt you will lose clientele to suffer a loss.
Let me not only post all the bad but the few good. The towel availability is a great thing. 3 hour free parking is very good. That is about it.
Recommend for the manager to take a trip to Santa Anita mall Golds Gym and see where to set the bar.
Will update in a month or two in hopes that I see more pros or possibly a change in the way business is run.

I'd like to echo most of what the other reviews here have said about the predatory membership policies, packed facilities, overall uncleanliness, lack of enforced rules around taking photos in the bathrooms and dressing rooms, sketchy behavior in the pool/jacuzzi after 8 or 9 pm and just overall bad vibes.
I came for a day pass, and was convinced by two member service people that I could extend it to a week long trial as long as I canceled before the 7th day I would not be charged. This is after I explained I was not looking to join, I just wanted to try out different gyms before I signed up for Active Fit, and that I had recently been laid off and moved to a new neighborhood. Fast forward to the 6th day when I came in to cancel they looked at me like I was crazy, told me I had signed up for a membership and I would be charged the next day. I was able to get them to give me 2 months free because they lied about the cancelation policy. I then had to call them repeatedly the following week to ensure that they would honor their promise of 2 months free. I was eventually given a new pass and told it would expire on the 31st of August.
I kept coming to the gym, because I believe in getting my money's worth, even though it is not a comfortable environment due to staff inattention, overcrowding, uncleanliness etc. Today, the 29th I was told my pass expired on the 25th, even though I visited the gym on the 26th and 27th with no issue. When I explained the situation to the front desk person they wanted me to speak with member services AGAIN. So, they weren't even able to make up for their error in misrepresenting their membership policies, they still told me the wrong information. Either, the staff needs some serious retraining, or they are built on predatory practices, either way I would steer clear.

First visit. Super busy as all Gold’s Gyms seem to be, but lots of equipment. Nice pool (but why is there sand in it?!), but people using the sauna fully clothed, with outdoor shoes on - SHOES! - ignoring the signs, phones out.
What on earth? Are you so shy you have to cover your whole body? You can’t relax for one moment without TikTok?
Please Gold’s, do something about this and enforce your rules. It’s gross.

Sauna is gross, so I wear shoes as it’s hardly cleaned and there are metals nails and cracks in the wooden sauna bench. Other people in there wearing crocs, or sandal, even shaving their beards onto the floor (gross), yet they were focused on asking me to remove my shoes, over the other issues. Many machines are missing handle pads, or are rusted. Always crowded, but not abnormal - it is downtown LA.
Overall one of the more affordable gyms in downtown, and staff is nice, but 100% NOT what you would expect out of a flagship Golds Gym location. If you can afford it choose a different gym, if not it will suite your needs for a solid workout, as it does mine.

The sauna here is ghetto. There’s people who walk in and don’t follow the rules found on the placard next to the sauna. They literally come in with their sweaty gym clothes and sit on the seats where people who followed the rules come in fully bathed and sit in. Beyond just that, a lot of them bring in their phones which is so unsafe and disrespectful towards the people who follow the traditional rules of a sauna and are unclothed. I’ve seen people blasting music and talking loudly in there which makes the experience of having a relaxing sauna experience almost impossible. There are no regulations or enforcement of these rules and I’ve come to realize that if I want something more respectful, it would have to be at a different location. There’s also few sweat rags at the gym. It’s honestly not the best gym because it gets packed in there. I still go there as a guest but it’s just not the best if you are looking forward to a relaxing sauna experience.

I purchased a pack of 6 training sessions, and I have to say it was the worst experience I've ever had with personal trainers.
Dori, the trainer, tried to be slick by telling me I had used up 2 sessions, even though I was told that the initial assessment wouldn’t count towards the training sessions. Yet, I was still charged for that session.
When I asked for advice on different issues I was facing with fitness and diet, she didn’t provide any useful information. For example, her advice was simply to "just eat right," without going into any detail. It felt like something I could have easily found on my own with a quick Google search—completely defeating the purpose of hiring a personal trainer.
I ended up not using the rest of the training sessions because of the unprofessionalism and deceptive practices. This experience was a complete turn-off. I would not recommend doing any personal training at this gym.

First of all one day pass with one cheap preworkout 40$ it s outrageous of you ask me. 2nd of all the conditions are more than horribel, uou can’t afford to be called a gold’s gym and have rust on the equipment also for it to move unequally on each side and also eater bottle just thrown around like trash. If a gym like this would be been opened where i live it would be closed by the consumer protection asaociation.
