Got my first tattoo ever from the owner Dave last Sept, it was sentimental and big, so I was a little nervous, but it turned out perfect with some of his suggestions. Even ended up going back to get a second one in May on the other side of my upper arm. He runs a top-notch shop and his crew makes everyone who walks in feel comfortable and taken care of. Both of my tattoos healed great, and quickly, and would recommend Generation8 highly...which I did to my sister and one of my best friends, who worked with different artists and love theirs as well!

Walked in on mother's day with my kids and was treated SO WELL by the whole staff!!! Gev KILLED my idea and layed the sickest knife upon my skin to remember my trip out west! 10/10 would recommend!! The shop is so pretty, and the prices are literally INSANE low. And did I mention... touch ups FOR LIFE?!??!

Very organized, clean salon, safe tattoo walk-in.
30' with the tattoo artist, fast and efficient. I had made an appointment 3 weeks before, I arrived at 12:30 p.m., 1:10 p.m. I left.

Chontel is THE best specialist for piercings in the Melrose area -- I had to have my ears re-pierced after some discomfort and re-growth after not wearing earrings for a while, and she walked me through the healing process and calmed my nerves during my follow-up when I started to have problems with wetness in the area. Super reasonable pricing for a pro service, and my piercings healed beautifully.

I recently got my nose pierced here, and I can’t stress enough how great the experience was. The piercer (I wish I remembered their name, bad memory) was so great, informative, and patient. Despite having the stretch my nose ring from a 20 to 16 gauge which is VERY painful, they took their time, talked me through everything, and it was amazing. Highly recommend coming here and working with this team.

If you're looking for a piercing, Mikey is THE guy to call!! I'm walking home now from my nose piercing (first piercing ever)... Had I known it would be such a calm experience, I would've come here years ago. Mikey helped me correct the placement to my liking before getting it done. He was so patient and kind throughout the whole thing; it honestly felt like just hanging out with a friend. No judgement or arrogance - Just good vibes. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!

My partner and I dropped in here before leaving for a trip to get them some new earrings and myself a new septum ring! The vibes of this shop is super fun!! Right off the bat the guys that were in had some fun banter with us, felt very at home there! We did have to fill out some wavers to buy jewelry so plan your trip with that in mind, other then that it was a very smooth experience. Mikey helped us out and he's awesome, he even set up my partners earrings and explained how it worked to them it was super nice! We were able to put them in with no stress! Will definitely be coming back here for some ink when I'm in LA again! :)

I wanted to get my maiden name tattooed on me, my parents passed away two years apart and I've been married for years now, I wanted something to remember them by. This is my dad's handwriting. I'm so glad they made it bigger than the actual writing itself. The guy who was doing the tattoo was nice and made me feel comfortable through and through. Would recommend!!

Chontel is AMAZING!!! I took my 4 year old to get her ears pierced and Chontel was knowledgeable, she gave us all the pros and cons, she was kind, knowledgeable, super respectful to her as if she was an adult. My daughter is super happy and there was not a single tear. Wonderful experience!!!
