I brought my car in this morning to get a full diagnostic and check up. I told them I’m going on a road trip and need to make sure my car is safe to drive.
One gentleman told me my suspension arm was visibly cracked, the next told me they couldn’t send me a picture of this because it’s not a visible crack. Overall they recommended nearly 3k in work (suspension arm repair + fix tire cupping issue)
I took my car in for a second opinion - they recommend I add a quarter gallon of oil. And that’s it. My bushings were not cracked nor were my tires cupping

Came to Funk Bros. Auto looking to get my brake light fixed and was told that they were unable to fix it & I would have to go directly to the dealer itself to have it fixed.
The next day, I went across the street to Discount Tire & Service Center and they fixed my issue in all of 10 minutes.
I also didn't think the staff at Funk Bros. was particularly nice, either. Quite standoffish and cold to new customers, but very different disposition when interacting with customers they know (I observed this first-hand). I suppose that's natural, but it made me feel weird that I was being treated with such blatant disregard whilst other customers were being treated with far more care, general pleasantness and patience.
My roommate swears by this place, but I wanted to come on here and speak to my experience.
I was also charged more than double the rate to fix my brake light here, than I was at Discount Tire and Service Center across the street.
Save your time and money! Go to the shop across the street.

Staff incredibly helpful. They showed me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Not pushy on sales whatsoever. Simply explains the problems and left it up to me to fix when convenient. I’m not from the area but if I was this would be my go to place.
