The old lady at the front likes to accuse people of stealing ? She snatched a shirt from my mom that she had already paid for and refused to give it back, because apparently she stole it. Really disheartening because we’ve been going here for about 15 years and stealing is the last thing we would ever think to do :(

From 98 Cents & Up is a great alternative to the 99 Only store across the street. In fact, their inventory is more abundant with the exception of grocery-type food items. Their seasonal product is specific and curated for a mostly latinx clientele. It is one of those businesses that the owners are always present and are very willing and happy to help customers.

Hey what the heck is that nasty smell in the produce area?? Needs to be cleaned asap, couldn’t tell if it was doodoo or death! Check for vermin and rotted items!

I usually love coming to this store. They have so many things from crafting to home goods and decorations. I am usually there WEEKLY sometimes multiple times mostly because I love supporting local businesses and I’ve never had any problems with this place until today.I went in there so excited ready to see what I was going to find. Usually I bring my own bags for shopping but I brought a smaller one to try and control myself but I needed a bigger one so I figured just get a bigger bag while I’m there and I’ll make it my haul bag. I had my headphones in so I didn’t hear the yelling at first but the lady was yelling almost at the top of her lungs for me to take everything out of the bag and to use a basket. Now if I walked in and someone asked me to use a basket until I was ready to check out ALL GOOD then my dude but this lady and the man who stands up front both were yelling at me to get my attention as if I was going to steal stuff. I totally get that they probably deal with a lot from customers and people there but like I said I am there multiple times a week to support a store I love so I guess they may not have remembered me but still don’t yell at customers who are shopping and supporting your store in front of a whole line of customers. I walked right out and I will NEVER step foot in there again.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. grew up coming to this store but in recent times have learned to hate it. the staff show zero signs of responsibility & integrity. came to purchase a christmas tree & was charged more than what the price tag itself said. came back the next day with original receipt and item to resolve this issue & left with even more. the male staff accused ME of adding the price tag... then tried to add a new price tag right in front of me. i then asked for my money back & the staff did not want to comply... completely disappointed. no issue was resolved & i was not able to get my money back.
