Mixed feelings about this location. Yes, it beats having to drive all the way to Home Depot. The prices are quite high. Kids playing around the shop are apparently from the staff working inside. As they tell you that someone will be with you shortly.Staff's customer service skills are rough. I get it, get to the point...but if your not giving me feedback...how is this going to go?Making returns are a joke. The location instead offers store credit. The location is very dusty. Lighting inside is very dim.If you need to make that last minute emergency purchase then give this place a try. I would however recommend Brooklyn Hardware (West on Cesar Chavez). They are well organized and have a lot of things that Home Depot (or this location ) don't carry.Thank you and God bless.

They sometimes have what your need, but they are Expensive, and the service is not really good, they hardly answer the phone, even when not busy though..

There are seven Villanueva Brothers and their sons, they own two businesses at 3939 Cesar Chavez just west of Hazard Avenue. Frank's Building Materials and Villanueva Cabinetry Workshop where they make and stain basic pine kitchen and bathroom cabinets to order. Building supplies include typical 60 and 90 pound sacks of cement and concrete, sand and gravel by the scoop, cement board, rebar, cinder blocks, nails, screws, bolts, brooms, et cetera. They deliver to the local area, they've delivered big orders for me to projects in City Terrace, Monterey Park and Lincoln Heights. When I pick up materials in my car, or truck they always load everything for me. Their prices are similar to big retailers like Home Depot, but much more convenient service. They will run around the store and find whatever you need while you wait at the counter. Villanueva Hardware a mile west at 3516 E Cesar E Chavez Ave is a bit smaller. I believe they have three additional locations but I haven't visited those. Frank's Building Supplies might smell a bit like oregano, because fifty years ago the building was the home of a Mexican spice distributor. I shopped there even then!
