Love little independent theaters like this. Ticket and concession prices were reasonable, interesting films shown, and the patrons clapped at the end (of “Lost in Translation”). Will have to go again to see if that happens after every film or just the good ones. Either way, it’s a sign that people here appreciate good filmmaking.

This theater is wonderful! My wife and I got to see The Seven Samurai on the big screen, which was a bucket list item for me. Massive fan! The food is really good too, so go early and get a bite to eat!

This place is scuzz city. The cafe is particularly atrocious. They got these stoner druggie girls making drinks and honestly they taste like dirt. Ordered a mocha and it tastes like water and week old coffee. Horrible. Dont give this trash place the business. There are SIGNIFICANTLY better cafes along Fairfax. Go there instead.

They charge a fortune for drinks and dont even have the courtesy to let you know when its ready. The two girls here are hardcore rude. Just a lack of respect. These girls look like they strung out, too. Do yourself a favor and go to a specialty coffee place down the street instead of supporting this raggedy place.

they’re always putting on screenings of the best movies and really care about the community. one of my favorite brands and you can tell they really “practice what they preach.” the theater itself could be a little nicer but that’s half the charm right? bonus points for having great branded eats. ?️

Brain Dead has successfully repurposed a classic theater space into a highly accessible place to celebrate films, but they are also creative and clever with the other ways they use this spot as well. Also, the staff are always good people who share a passion for the same things their patrons do.

One of the staff apparently got a “cute little attitude”. Hopefully she’s always like this but not because we are Asian . And, if you hate your job just quit.

The good vibes were readily apparent the moment that I walked through the door. Everyone here was so cool and welcoming! So glad that my wife and I stumbled upon this place and stopped in. Not only were we introduced to an awesome brand, we found a spot where there's some really cool stuff happening. Totally worth the drive out from Palm Springs!

such a beautiful place with the most amazing employees! I tried on a lot of clothes and they were so helpful and nice about it and made me feel really welcome and comfortable! By far the best shopping experience in this area :)

This is my favorite independent theater. This place is so cool. First of all they have a cafe attached. Wow. Second they make custom calendars of their themed monthly movies and a custom description on each movie. This blew me away. Third there is a nice sense of community as it doesn’t take itself too seriously and the crowd is laughing aloud during the comedies. Fourth, cool bathroom. Best movie theater in LA hands down.

Cute little indie theater with a cafe in the back. The film setup isn’t the best but you can’t expect much from such a small establishment. Decor is very fitting and they sell souvenirs next to concessions. Knocking off a star for the staff’s very evident lack of manners/hospitality. They’d answer questions or concession orders with a condescending almost questioning tone. The lack of diversity in this joint might have something to do with it lol.

Although the people seemed pleasant for the most part, the movie itself was boring, the setting was uncomfortable. My girlfriend reduce the pleasure as well by ignoring me out of her own personal boredom. Nothing was shared and it was clearly a safe space for individuality.
