As soon as I peaked into this shop I was hooked. Vintage tees as far as the eye could see. And I mean tables, shelves piled high with shirts by every iconic artist or band you could think of. Whoever you want to represent, It's all here. WuTang, Iron Maiden, Tupac, Biggie, Blondie. There are soooo many tees I found it hard to narrow down until the shop owner pointed me to a back table of tees that were two for 30.00. Yeah, I could get down with that. Walked out with a Biggie and RUN DMC. The man running the place is friendly and helpful. I should have asked him if he ships.

I went in and tried on a skirt and top, it was a matching set. The price tag on the skirt said $39.99 and no price tag on the top. I figured it came together but when I got to the register, the woman told me that it was actually $75 for the set. Then she told me she could lower it to $50. Then she rang me up for $75 anyway and I had to reminder her that she told me it was $50. I feel like I got hustled in this store and won't be coming back.

Great customer service! Great selection of band shirts/wide variety! I would suggest they get more inventory for some shirts since there were a few where they only had a couple sizes left which is always disappointing since I would've spent more money if they had my size! Other than that though great experience!

Strolling Melrose with my mother and daughter and we stumbled across Essex! We all found something we liked. I think they have a great selection of graphic tee's and also a variety of other basic tee's and cotton summer dresses that are super cute too! Good music while you shop!

I discovered this store while walking through Melrose, walked in, and wanted everything! Super trendy clothing. Uniquely made with a cute fit. Great vibe with great customer service. I highly recommend to check it out.

I'm so glad that i found this little gem on melrose! It's my go to shop for unique cool sexy tees! I own like 7 tee shirts and after each wash they get softer and softer def great quality! They also sell men's clothes and really pretty jewelry! I always stop by there when I need to pick out a gift bc Essex will for sure have it! Also, the owner name is saad- he is so friendly and helpful and not to mention easy on the eye too ladies ;) i just can't get enough of this store! I spend too much money there lol!

It's hard for me to find shirts I like but I always leave with a couple when I visit Essex. The t-shirts are unique in cut/fit/style. The owner really seems to handpick these with care. The only thing is that they are kinda pricey... a t-shirt will run you average about $32...

This shop on Melrose has both men & women clothes but very limited selection but that is OK because what they do have is awesome! I found 2 unique tees there and bought them up on a snap because they were so original that I wouldn't find anywhere back home. It's a very small shop connected to another girls shop but don't miss this gem of a store called Essex! Great guys tees! The young man shop clerk was courteous, kind and knowledgeable. The boy shop clerks out customer serviced the shop girls.

Such a cool shop! Before grabbing dinner with a friend, I had some time to kill and decided to hop into this shop and cruise it's threads. In no time, I was making mental notes on each and every item I wanted to snatch up for my wardrobe. Then I came across the PERFECT striped long sleeve for my sister. I just knew she'd love it, and I bought it to give her for her birthday... so what if it isn't for another month and a half? :) When I went to the register in the back, the guy working was very friendly and asked if I found everything alright. I inquired about their exchange policy, thinking she may want a size up or down, or perhaps would wanna shop around for other items in case my taste wasn't quite "on" that night. He said exchanges were no problem at all, for other sizes or anything else in the store. And timing wasn't an issue either. I was worried I would be waiting so long to give it to her, but all my stress subsided when he assured me that she could come in anytime to exchange. He rang up the cute sweater quickly, but not before I had time to admire all the accessories for sale by the register. I wanted to drop hundreds, but stayed strong, reminding myself I could come back any time and shop for myself. I still have a necklace on my mind at this very moment that I'd love to get back to and make mine! As for my sister? I was so excited, I gave it to her the next night. And she LOVES it!!! Success.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! Great selection of trendy items. Great prices. All of it was just great! When I went they were having a sale on t-shirts and dresses. Too bad I was low on funds by this time, I would have bought that whole sale rack. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

LOVE their huge selection of jewelry and fun t-shirts! Alot of their necklaces are on long chains.. My first time there I was slightly overwhelmed but found 2 of my now faves... a clock necklace and a compass. I wear them any time i can! This place fits perfectly along the Melrose strip. very hipster! love!
