The interior is striking in the "LUX Night Club" of the "Lucifer" Netflix Series! ...opulent enough not to lose elegance, perfect setting for crazy parties. These scenes are shot in a real nightclub ... this one! (the exterior of the "Sunset Tower Hotel" and the fictitious entrance to the "El Capitan Theater"), the "Emerson Theater", also strong in a vaguely retro and sparkling style. Like "El Capitan", the "Emerson" is also located on Hollywood Boulevard, the street of the Walk of Fame with the stars of the greatest artists of American and world cinema.

Came on a Saturday night which is supposed to be Asian night. We got here at about 1020pm - on time before cover which is past 1030pm. We parked at the self parking structure for $10 and walked over to the club. The lady passing up tickets so you can get in without paying cover had a little attitude but whatever I guess she doesn't enjoy her job. The club has 2 floors. Lower level is where all the fun is (dance floor, tables, bars) while the top floor is for wallflowers and the bathrooms. It wasn't too crowded or too crammed which I liked. Music was good. Decent place. I wouldn't mind coming back but too old to party!

3.5 stars. I actually had a pretty good night at Emerson Saturdays with JetSetLA, but there were a few gripes that keep it from obtaining 4 stars. PARKING: When you follow your GPS it'll take you to where Buffalo Wild Wings is. Emerson is on the other side of the block so you have to pass BWW on the right and make a right then make a right on La Brea and you'll see the Emerson Theater entrance on the right hand side. The "parking" for Emerson Theater is right next to it and is $20 valet. There is another lot before you hit the valet lot which is only $13 and it's about the same distance walking. There is also an $8 lot right after BWW but when I asked to go in the guy said it was for the restaurants only and when I said well I'm going to BWW too he didnt believe me (even though we did!) so I had to park at the $20 lot. GUEST LIST: I got on the guest list with Adam Avenue from JetSet and you have to give first and last names of your guests. He said to be there at 10pm to get in line and be in the club by 10:30. We got there at 10pm and there was no one in line. When we asked the girl at the front she said they wouldn't be opening for a while. I asked her what about the before 10:30 rule so she took down our names, crossed us off and then gave us these green tickets and said just to come back and stand in line. We went to BWW for a little then got in line around 10:30. We didn't get into the club until 11:10...and we were the second group in line. I think the club was running super late because usually they let VIP and bottle service in first then general admission but since they were late we were delayed before getting inside. $15 for guys, free for girls. Otherwise, you have to pay $20. They wouldn't let me add a girl on last minute either and make sure you put the right name that shows up on their driver's license to avoid any issues. ATMOSPHERE: The inside of the club is pretty small. The dance floor is tiny and there's a random table towards the end which kind of juts into the middle. There is no patio, as other reviews have stated. The inside does kind of look like a theater and there are strings of lights that line the top of the ceiling. The inside is actually pretty nice. We went on the weekend of Coachella so it wasn't as crowded but even then, there were times I could not move that well. For the most part though, the bouncers were fairly friendly and let us dance on the aisle ways. For girls though, be careful because the floor gets EXTREMELY slippery and there were times girls fell and I almost slipped twice. It's also a very sticky floor. MUSIC: The DJ kind of sucked because there were at least 2-3 times where all the music just stopped playing and some of the transitions weren't that good but overall I really liked the music. It's mostly top 40 hip hop and edm. So it's the EDM that you actually recognize and can dance/sing along to. Then, they played the good hip hop and some pop songs remixed. Overall, I don't think there were any times where I was standing there hoping for the song to change or felt like I couldn't dance along. CROWD: 99% asian. We remarked there were a lot of fobby asians too. For the most part though it's mid to late 20s and no really creepy people in my opinion. It was a good crowd, a lot of fun people and no one that was particularly rude. BAR: I didnt order any drinks but the bar didnt seem too bad, they also gave free water! :) Overall, I thought it was pretty fun despite having to wait almost an hour to get inside the club. Girls were free and the music was good so I had a good time dancing the night away.

This isn't one of your bigger, go all out clubbing venues, but I still like what it has to offer overall. There usually is two bars (one on each end) but the most recent visit, they only had one bar available and shielded the other side with a curtain. It did make the place seem even smaller, but at least it didn't get THAT packed. No one likes dancing like a pack of sardines anyways. Dancefloor is small, but never really fully packed and gives enough room to dance and move around. Also less likely to get danced upon by random people (stranger danger!) but there are always those who linger and try to make eye contact with you the entire time you're there - just ignore them or give them the glare to make them scared lol! Extra pluses: seating/chill area upstairs, decently clean bathroom, a photobooth, their own parking buildling ($13) that's just a 2-3 minute walk, and overall... pretty friendly people that you can chat with when you're at the bar.

I came here for my gf's birthday party. I'm not big on clubs anymore but will go out either for a friend's birthday or Vegas haha. My friend was promoting for saturday so we got on vip list. We were about 8 girls and one guy so it was pretty easy to get in. I think it's $20 for guys at 10:30. We got there around 11 and it was pretty empty. My friend mentioned a lot of the regular comes here since it's more of a table service type of place. So it got packed around midnight. The inside is pretty spacious and the lighting is a dim neon blue light throughout. The dance floor is a bit small. There is 2 bars inside. Outside is a small area with tables and a dj. It's considered the hip hop room. Even though it was somewhat outside I don't know if it's because its the smoking area but it was super HOT! And there is not much ventilation so if your a non smoker prepare to be a second hand smoker that night. I like hip hop but it was too damn hot. I had to fan myself with napkins and eat some ice. I kid you not I'm not exaggerating. The inside plays more house and pop. The bathrooms are upstairs so careful on the steps. I was not really feeling the crowd. I like more of a mixed crowd but it was Asian night to the extreme. Overall I had a good time but I'll stick to bars and lounges.

Came here on Saturday night. Got in closer to 11 waiting in the guestlist line. The place is pretty but super small. My friend said the open areas were different than the last time she had been there. There are a lot of stairs. You have to go down to the bar but up to go to the bathroom. There's stairs down to the dance floor area and down into the patio area where smoking is permitted. Seems pretty hazardous for very drunk people. The dance floor area is a bit inconvenient due to all the tables around it with no dividers. There's a step upwards to the tables too. The photo booth was really cool and free and we got to go in without a long line. The bathrooms were decent size but they had the doors open so no one could tell which one was for guys and girls (because there was no line out the door) I didn't buy any drinks so not sure about the quality of the alcohol or bartenders.
