I just realized this review has been sitting in my drafts. Shame on me! I found this place to get my husbands watch repaired. Upon entering the shop. Ben's warm greeting of " Hello, how can I help you" made us feel as if we'd been transported to Pleasantville. Once he knew what we needed repaired on the watches, he gave us budget friendly options, cleaned and replaced the battery free of charge. Definitely went over and beyond our expectations. His excellent customer service and friendly demeanor is greatly appreciated and a rare find. He will now be our go to shop for all jewelry and watch needs/repair. Ben you are the standard when it comes to owned and operated business customer service. Thank you sharing your positive energy! Looking forward to our next visit.

I, like everyone else here, am obsessed with Ben!! He makes you feel like you’ve known him your whole life. I’ve gotten a bunch of jewelry repaired here and he always does a great job, going above and beyond polishing everything as well. Love Elsie’s!!

Ben is lovely. I’ve been bringing watches to him for years for repair, many items to clean, and has a lovely selection of charms, chains, and everything in between. It’s a beautiful shop.

Walked in for an engraving job and even though they don't engrave here, Ben (the shop owner?) gave me great advice and a recommendation. I will definitely be coming back for other repairs and recommend others to come here as well.

Excellent and friendly service with a very fair price! I took three watches in to have the batteries replaced and he went ahead and cleaned them for me too. Would 100% recommend!

i live in hollywood and needed some simple fixes done on some pieces. like, i have a cz cubic zirconia pave piece set in silver, where the metal has turned black and needed plating. a white gold chain that just isn't shiny at all anymore in need of polishing, and a steel cz chain that was a bit too long and needed shortening. the gentleman that runs this place is extremely pleasant and friendly. the work i've had done here has been very very reasonably priced (about half the price of another good jeweler in weho that i have used in the past). and it is solid work. i find that he is also very earnest and honest in his estimates, and assessments of what is worth doing and not worth doing. have only had good experiences, and if u come i hope you do too. good prices, good friendly service. a small family owned shop i would most definitely come to again. like i say to the guys on grinder... try it, you'll like it! ; - )

If you ever need a chain repaired or necklace shortened, go to Elsie's. Fast and reliable service for my brother's necklace and my purse chain, both of which needed shortening. Excellent customer service!

Very disappointed. Used this man for 1 thing only over the years. A very sentimental watch with family ties cleaning (every 2 years). He seemed to either not respect the sentimental value of the watch or me. The cleanings got worse and worse. He actually told me to get a new watch. With that said, I had a horrible fall and the band broke on the watch. I took the watch to him to repair being he worked on it for the cleanings. I picked it up and a day later the band broke again. Long story short, the man tried to GLUE the band. Yes glue!! He seemed to be expecting my call and told me to bring it back. I took it back and he was rude! Not only that, was lying through his damn teeth (I.e. I drilled a whole). I took pics of the before and he's a liar. I believe he saw me as stupid. Then he said, "nobody is going to work on this watch but me. I'm your only hope.". I walked out. Today a jeweler closer to where I live took 20 minutes and fixed the watch perfectly for $26 and confirmed the glue. I would avoid this man. He seems to have a bias that overshadows his professionalism.
