Careless . Apparently without asking me she had the nerve to put me down as a dependent AFTER I FILED AND DID MY TAXES ALONE!! I say apparently, because I was never informed I was made a dependent. How did I find out? Well I was talking with my mother and informed her that I was worried due to still not receiving my stimulus check( the rest of my family, at that point had all gotten their money) . My mother decided to call and ask if they knew why I still hadn't received anything and THAT is how I found out. . If I had been asked I would have said no, she just assumed I would have agreed to becoming a dependent. If you ask me that's extremely unprofessional. Now due to COVID I've had to deal with my hours being reduced. That money would have have definitely helped me during this time.

Every new year I looked forward vising Elena. For years she has helped me file my taxes and I would normally receive a nice tax return. 2020 is a little different. When I visted her office and trusted her for a service she did a huge careless mistake by submitting one of my W2's twice. This doubled my earnings and I am now in trouble with the IRS. She did fix her mistake but with Covid 19 taking place her mistake took place at the worst possibe time. I have yet to receive my tax return for 2019 and my 2020 stimulus check. Had Elena focused on me and not allow her self get distracted from her staff. I would have likely received my stimulus and my return. When I ask for her help she tells me to call her back after office hours. No one at her office picks up after business hours. My advice to Elena is to please focus on one client at a time. Make your staff take your calls when you are with a client. And. to not take a quick lunch break when you are with a client. She did just that with me. She took a moment to eat her food while working on my taxes and now I am in trouble with the IRS.

I've worked with Elena as a lender for a client that was purchasing a home. Elena was responsive and diligent in all her replies. It goes to show you have much she is concerned with the clients full wellbeing long after the tax season is over.
