Saved the day!
Edwin took care of my dying alternator late in the day on a Saturday. I had work on Sunday, so without him, I wouldn’t be able to drive!
I bought my own alternator (thankfully in stock at autozone), and it was done within an hour. Labor was reasonably priced.
So thankful they could help me out on short notice.

Edwin and his staff are some of the best and honest mechanics you will ever meet. They are transparent about their work and what issues your car has. There are not many trustworthy mechanics in LA but Edwin is one of the few that I trust.

I am always driving client to client (cleaning houses) and is very important to keep my car in great condition. I just found a great mechanic, first time good experience with a mechanic. Edwin and his staff are friendly, professional, honest and clear to explain the details on what my car need and don’t.
Prices are reasonable and quality is great.
I’d definitely continue with his services.

I'm a gearhead. I've been through many a project car and I'm extremely particular with services and sourcing parts for my cars. So much so, that I do just about all repairs, maintenance, and upgrades myself. Hell, I've built quite my own little shop in the process. It's a passion of mine. But there are some things which you really just shouldn't do, as much as you want to try. Things like wheel alignments. Things like flashing your ECU with a Stage 2 APR Tune. Things like LS Swapping a mk4 supra (just don't do that). Here's my little story: My A/C compressor went out in my Montero this summer. My plan was to replace the compressor, condenser, accumulator and drier myself. However, to do this safely and responsibly (and legally) I needed to discharge my A/C Refrigerant. If you're familiar with R134a, it's about 1,000 times worse for the environment than CO2 - so you can't just vent it out in the air. Not ethically anyway. To recycle R134a the right way, you need a machine that costs hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of dollars. For a shop this type of machine is a necessary tool, but for a dude with a garage and a silly little project car? Not so much. I called around to just about every shop in the area and got the run around "nah we don't do that anymore we have to do the whole replacement service" or "ah my machine can't do that" blah blah blah. And then a couple days ago I was driving by sweating in this crazy heat and decided I'd pop into Edwin's shop. I gave him my spiel, "I just need the freon discharged so I can do the repair myself, and then I'll come back to get it charged again" and he was like "ah no problem. We can do that." Gave me some advice to make sure we were on the same page and everything. I do the repair, bring it back, filled right back up without a hitch with all the new parts. A/C Blows Ice cold. No problem. We talked for about 20 mins after just kinda shooting the breeze, swapping stories about where we source 3.8 flywheels and how to repair impossible-to-find window regulators on older cars. I also noticed all the beautiful old cars he had around the shop. Special little rarities. The Porsche Speedster. The Delorean in the garage. A beautiful IrocZ Camaro with the T-Tops. A beautiful old studebaker. A brand new Jag F-Type sitting next to an older Jag XK8. An Xterra with ARB accoutrements. It's clear his customers respect his wisdom. You can tell this is not just a job for Edwin, but it's a passion of his. I gotta say, there are a handful of times when I find a mechanic that is so open and easy to talk to as Edwin. But it's very refreshing. Ronaldo at Eurozone is really great. Tony at Silverlake Auto is good dude. Edwin? Dude, he gets it. He not only listens, but he'll hear you. I don't need a mechanic very often as I usually do this stuff myself, but I'll be referring everyone I know to him, that's for sure. P.S. If you're concerned at all about price, he's exceptionally reasonable.

Thought my alternator was out as my car wouldn't start so I towed it to Edwin's garage. Called me a couple hours later and told me my car was literally just out of gas, he put 25$ in it and it ran like a champ. I picked it up the same day as he stayed open late to accommodate me, 25$ out the door. Couldn't believe his honesty and professionalism! I will be back for any and all future repairs. Thanks Edwin!

My mother took her car to Edwin consistently because she said Edwin is the nicest and most honest and reasonable mechanic she's ever known. Anyhow he helped me readily with a few things righton the spot then he also helped me with a car I was selling and all I have to say is mother knows best! Edwin is a great mechanic and wonderful, honest person! A+++++ all around!Best mechanic ever!

Edwin and Moises are both competent and friendly people. They work on all sorts of cars. You will often see classics there, including triumphs, deloreans, and also modern exotics. And if you are VERY lucky, you might even get to gander at my studebaker! I bring it in once a month or so to have Edwin give it something of an upgrade! Edwin is never serious, and always competent.

I bought a little weekend car that seemed like 90% ready to drive and just needed a little work on the carburetor to drive like a champ. At least that was my diagnosis of the car, which turned out being quite wrong. Towed my car to Edwin's shop, because I saw the reviews and wanted to trust a local mechanic with my car instead of taking it to one of the Italian car specialists in the valley for a bigger bill. I left it on Monday late and was told that I would get a call Weds to let me know what they saw. I called on Weds because I couldn't wait for their call, and Linda told me that they had to clear the gas tank and refill it because the gas that I had in there "was dead." That seemed plausible, it was sitting for about 4 months. Waited a couple more days to get the call to hear the car was ready and the call did not come. I called back and they were still adjusting the carburetor and trying to figure out why it didn't idle properly. 4 days in the shop with Edwin and I was starting to get concerned and started to think I should have taken it to the Italian specialists instead. I drove to see the car and Edwin explained the problem they found. Carburetor needed to be taken apart and resealed - basically rebuilt. Then they had to also seal the exhaust manifold. 10 days at the shop and the communication was a little patchy but the work looked good. Long story short, the car was a headache but Edwin took care of it and it did not cost me a small fortune. At last my car is back in my hands several weeks after dropping it off and it runs well. Edwin did a great job with it. It runs and sounds like a proper purring Italian engine. Edwin was thorough and efficient in his diagnosis and repairs. The work took longer than expected but was well worth the wait. This is going to be my go to shop for this car from now on. Thanks guys.

Wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Two weeks ago, I got a service alert that my front breaks needed to be replaced. I got a quote from a friend recommendation that was nearly $400 and I'd have to drive all the way over to Reseda (boo). I remembered that there was a shop 2 minutes for me and heard great things about it from other people in the neighborhood. Called them and had a very reasonable quote and an appointment booked for a few days out within an hour. Linda and Edwin and genuinely so helpful and nice. Now that my Mini Cooper is out of warranty, I will be bringing it back here for any other service I need.
