Did the beginner class for Valentine’s Day and it was great!! We made heart shaped bowls and the instructor was yuli and she was awesome!! She helped anytime anyone was struggling and gave good instruction. We thought a sweet detail they added were the valentines decorations, the wine, and the chocolates. Can’t wait to see how our bowls turn out in 3 weeks!!

Great experience. Brought my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day as a surprise - she was thrilled. Yuli was a great teacher. Thank you!

I've been coming to Echo for two years. I took several beginning classes and now regularly attend the intermediate. Echo has lovely and knowledgeable teachers and their prices are really competitive. I've found an art home here and definitely recommend it to anyone interested in trying out the ceramics classes or any of the drawing, sculpture, painting classes.

I completed Carlos’ beginner course and had a terrible time. Carlos was rude and unprofessional. He constantly made inappropriate comments and made my classmates and I extremely uncomfortable. The class was an extremely disappointing experience and Carlos made me hate pottery. Save your money and your time.

I went to a 4-week pottery class here with instructor Yuko, & I had a pretty not-good experience.Yuko was way more invested in making bowls than she was in genuinely helping anyone become better at pottery. Don't get me wrong, she seems like a sweet lady & very good at what she does (throwing clay), but the teaching part, she definitely struggles with. She paid very little attention to most of the students in the class, & whenever I would express that I was struggling, instead of helping me out she would do a very fast-paced "demonstration" & kinda be like "See, that's how it's done!"She also "lost" a couple of bowls; thankfully all seemed to have been found but between the fact that I learned absolutely nothing & this, i would definitely not come back here. Also, the class is extremely quiet -- if you're social at all (or even just don't like sitting in total silence while you work), then look for someplace else. I certainly will be.

Nice little studio! Came for the group pottery class and we had a good time. 90 mins class for $65 per person! There is a small lot and a few meter parking spots on the street. Would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting messy. And for the ladies, you might need a hair tie!

Nice little studio! Came for the group pottery class for Valentines, and we had a good time. Not gonna lie, I was nervous at first because my previous experience of making pottery was kinda frustrating. But I've gotta say, the entire learning process at the Echo Art Studio was easy and fun! The instructor was so patient and taught us step by step, always helping to make corrections. The only suggestion would be the practicing time, it was a little shorter than we thought. Some of us felt rushed finishing at the end. (Yeah as a beginner we probably need more practice) Other than that, great experience! Note: 90 mins class for $65 per person! There is a small lot and a few meter parking spots on the street. Would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting messy. And for the ladies, you might need a hair tie!

My partner and I signed up for the Valentine's Day special and we had a fantastic experience. Intimate class size and really wonderful instructor. One on one attention and coaching through the process - great for beginners or more advanced students. We had lots of fun! This is a great date idea or individual experience if you want to get into pottery or create fun memories!

Yuli’s beginner ceramics class was so fun!!! She is a great instructor, and there are some wonderful students to chat with, or be frustrated with together :) my bowls get 3 stars but the studio gets 5 easily

I read many good reviews about this place, so I decided to purchase a private class online. However, they never have any availabilities and they do not reply to my inquiries. I am very disappointed. I have tried to contact them many times to get a refund for the private class I purchased, but they choose not to reply to me.

Signed up for a beginner's pottery class after reading about it in an LA Times article featuring a local pottery artist. This class was so much fun (albeit much harder than I thought!), but the instructor was great and gave us ample amount of time to make/practice with as many pieces as possible (I came home with 6 pieces total!). Practice is the key to this art so I appreciated being given more time to maximize that time. You also get an hour before each class to work on your pieces. The class size was pretty small so you get decent individual attention if needed too. I think it's a great value and I hope to find time again in the future to retake the class.

This is a great studio! I took an intro class with a friend. Classes were small so it wasn't overwhelming and the instructor was super attentive. It makes for a fun challenge to try something new and get out of your comfort zone (and super messy!). Convenient parking as well. If you're curious about giving it a try after watch The Great Pottery Throw Down then don't hesitate--while it isn't nearly as easy as it looks, you'll find it a fun challenge and this is a great studio to start.

I really enjoyed the both the studio and intro classes. The classes were a small size so you received enough individual instruction. Originally I had thought to just try a one-off class at another studio but committing to the four classes was really needed to both get the hang of it and start to really enjoy the process. It is a little tricky but everyone came out with something solid in the end! And a little addictive once you start getting the hang out it and see the finished results. Definitely recommend. Bonus: parking is very easy.
