I'm glad I found this building! Special thanks to manager Ty Kimbell! He is very friendly and attentive, helps us learn details and gives a good mood! We are from Ukraine. Ty used the Ukrainian translator in the phone especially for us! So we easily understood all the terms of the contract, etc. 1000 thanks!!! ☺️??????

DO NOT LIVE HERE. For one, the property is infested with roaches and two, the company is super sketchy. They did not send me my deposit or an itemized list within the legally allotted time and are trying to send me to collections despite them breaking the law. I now have to sue them in small claims court. The location is great but it is not worth it to deal with this awful management company.

Warning!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!! Do not move here unless you want your health and mental health suffer. Do not believe these good reviews!!! I lived here for almost two years and the manger and apartment caused me so such mental distress! If you don’t want to live with airbnbs, roaches, mold, no ventilation or proper plumbing and managers who lie about repairs look elsewhere!! I couldn’t even stay in my aparment the last two and a half months of living here because of how unhealthy it is.The manager talks so bad about tenants to other tenants! It’s horrible!! I would strongly urge anyone who wants to move here not to. They also will charge you double renters insurance and lie about it. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Unfortunately this place was not a good experience. We moved here to be in the mix of things and excited about the opportunity. It would be one thing to pay a lot of money for a decent livable apt. In this area but it just seemed like nothing went right once we signed for it.First, we picked up the keys the day before moving in and walked into a nonready apt. marks all over the walls, stains on the bedroom carpet and a lingering smell from the place. So our move in date got pushed back a week so they could get the apt. Cleaned, painted, and ready for us. Once we finally moved in an spent the night we realized there was a major cockroach infestation in the house as well as around the complex. We sent in a work order to have this delt with and it never got addressed so I had to keep fumigating pretty often. The kitchen sink garbage disposal broke shortly after moving in which I get happens but leaked fully out the bottom into the cabinets which took multiple days for someone to come to bandage it up. The lock on our front door you could pull out with your fingers which you definitely needed with a lot of fights from neighbors. An airbnb was ran our of the apt. next to ours with different people always coming in and out of there. Our bathroom sink ended up leaking for 2 weeks and no one ever made it over after 2 work orders put in. The toilet was not secured to the ground and thought that was bad but could ever get anyone to fix anything. The smell also stayed the 7 months we were there. We finally moved out and they sent us our deposit back but shortly after canceled our check and sent us to collections without notice and charged us to replace the carpet even though we had a delay move in from the carpet being stain and gross before move in. Renter beware, do not move in here.

Duet was a great living experience, I was here 10 months , great location . The management is responsive . Melvin and Tierra have been great in my move out process so far . The building is older so it comes with all that goofiness. The price is great , the parking and security have been great.

I lived at the Duet on Wilcox from January 2023 to September 2023, and my experience was far from ideal. While I want to provide an honest assessment, I also aim to offer constructive feedback that could benefit both potential residents and the property management.Pros:Location: The Duet on Wilcox is situated in a convenient area, close to various amenities and public transportation, which was a plus.Cons:Overcrowding: The most significant issue I encountered during my stay was the overcrowding. It seemed like there were way too many subletters in the building, which created a sense of unease and contributed to a less-than-desirable living environment.Security Concerns: Safety was a major concern. There were frequent break-ins in the building, making it feel dangerous. Improved security measures are urgently needed to ensure residents' well-being.Maintenance Issues: The maintenance of the property left much to be desired. When the apartment above mine suffered from plumbing issues, it resulted in water damage to my unit. Unfortunately, management was slow to address these issues, leading to further inconvenience.Ineffective Management: My interactions with the management team were generally frustrating. Timely communication and efficient problem-solving were lacking, and it often felt like issues were brushed aside or inadequately addressed. In conclusion, my time at the Duet on Wilcox was marred by overcrowding, security concerns, maintenance issues, and ineffective management. While the location offers some advantages, these issues overshadowed any positives during my stay. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the property management to improve the living conditions for future residents.

Worst place I’ve ever lived in. Carpets weren’t cleaned when we moved in, and had missing blinds throughout the whole time i lived there (even after requesting them getting replaced several times) My car was towed from my authorized parking space because management didn’t bother to check if it was my parking space and casually called the towing company based on what a tenant said. They charged us over 400 dlls for tiny pieces of paint coming off the wall when it was like this when we first moved in. I moved out 4 months ago and they STILL want to keep charging me for things I “owe” and are threatening us with affecting my credit score if I don’t pay for it. May I emphasize that they kept all of our deposit money….isn’t that enough? I should be charging THEM for all the inconveniences including NOT having a microwave for a month because they decided to take their time to replace it.

EDIT: Staff was initially helpful, but unfortunately, when it was time to fill in the application for the apartment they completely ghosted me. I was told to complete the application online and that there would be a fee collected to fully complete the application that would go towards the deposit. There was an error through the site and I was asked to contact the property. They never got back to me when I reached out for assistance and ultimately had to find another place to rent. Extremely disappointed and bummed—they seemed so helpful at first! Something to keep in mind when applying.

The property is nice, clean, modern, and centrally located in the heart of Hollywood. The assistant property manager, Melvin was AMAZING! He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, kind, and courteous. I have never had an apartment viewing appointment go so well where I left with such a positive and happy feeling. I’m not sure if I’ll be renting the apartment or not, but the experience with Melvin will stay with me for a long time. Thank you Melvin for just being you and sharing your infectious, positive spirit. Keep up the great work!

Roaches, Roaches, Roaches, and Roaches. This place is gross, and the management does not care about you after you sign your lease. Look at all the one-star reviews. Those are the only accurate ones just so gross property and treatment of residents. Don't be fooled by these new recent reviews. Horrible!!!

Pretty if you’re just looking but unfortunately there is an issue with mold, and if you think that sounds bad it gets worse… COCKROACHES. Living in this kind of disgusting atmosphere takes a toll on your mental health & the maintenance team & office employees show zero empathy or concern. Have a maintenance request that needs attention? Well good luck getting the issue fixed. They’ll brush it off, even if it has to do with your safety. It’s unfortunate really.

Leasing Specialist was very helpful and willing to answer all my questions. It was a smooth process submitting our application and documents requested.

I would really prefer if when maintenance comes that they can come during work hours, almost everytime it’s after 5pm when I am getting home after a long day.

Loved meeting Melvin! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. I like that I didn’t feel like he was a “salesman” and was just pushing my boundaries so I’d make a decision. He was really honest and up front but also warm and understanding. The building was really lovely and it had a lot of great amenities to it. I’m sure the Duet on Wilcox is a great place to live.
