I love this store so much! Such an exciting array of furniture, lighting fixtures and unique items for the home and garden. I was blown away by the huge inventory of exquisite items they have. If you like unique one-of-a-kind items, this is your place. Equally impressive was the customer service I received from Jessica. She is very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable, going out of her way to accommodate me. Thanks so much, Jessica!! I purchased a gorgeous lantern from her which required a little tweaking, and she had Danny fix it on the spot ASAP. Shoutout to Danny, too, for finishing the job so quickly and expertly. I highly recommend you visit this shop for a wonderful shopping experience. Indian, African and Moroccan items at your fingertips! TIP: There are actually three shops along South LA Brea. The 3rd is an outlet, where prices are substantially lower but items are just as gorgeous.

I had a terrible experience. I bought some stools online. I had a delivery service pick them up instead of paying an exhorbitant fee for delivery. Once I got the stools, they were terrible, rusty in places, the leather on the seats was uneven and dry. I immediately called to make a return and they hid behind Chairish (the site) and their return policy. They considered it a "local pick Up". The woman I dealt with suddenly had no answers. So I would say, low quality merchandise and unkind service. I got stuck with a $3000 problem. Be aware.

My husband and I bought a very elegant bed there. People were friendly. Once the bed was delivered I realized that it was too massive for my low ceiling. It was making my room looks small. I asked within 10 days if I could return it (I was ready to exchange). They were unkind, almost rude and used Covid to not accept a return. I paid almost $2000 for it and can't resell it !!!!

This place is one of the best places in Los Angeles prices are fair for the small stuff and average for the big stuff can't go wrong more selection than you can imagine and their stuff all seems to come from the other side of the world not really local here to the states so it's really exotic to see the things that they have

We were hired to pick up an item for a customer that purchased a credenza. We called days in advance and arranged pick up and pick up time. Phone records and text messages to prove it. When we showed up the item could not be located. Then they said oh it must be at our other location. Unfortunately we have a limited number of stops we can make in a day. When business like this don't understand that it's not easy on our drivers schedule you bounce around stop to stop for their mistake. Mark got very upset and wrote a nasty letter because i driver said she didn't have time to run to the other location that day but could come back another day. In his email he tried lying and blaming our company for not being professional...that we showed up unannounced and our driver was lazy. Mark seriously has anger issues because when we called him he said he didn't care. He would not take responsibility for giving us the wrong address to go to. Continued to call my team lazy and unprofessional. I tried reasoning with him showing him proof we did call and arrange pick up days in advance and a pick up time. We sent a text as well. And we tried arranging a pick up time for another date. He just Continued to yell on phone upset our driver did not simply go to the other location to get the item. We will not be doing business with this guy ever again. He can't admit fault and from the other reviews read it seems like I'm not the only one he takes his anger out on and puts blame on for his mistakes.

BEWARE! A few weeks ago, I purchased two "Reclaimed Wood & Iron Bar Stools". The online description states that the WOODS are unique to each chair, but what arrived at my home were two completely different chairs, constructed of different metals. Additionally, one was missing the end cap to its iron leg. For three consecutive weeks I have tried to resolve the issue. But much to my frustration, because I didn't notify the seller with 48 hours of delivery, (I notified them within 4 days) they refuse to accept a return, or an exchange. Today, Mark Poirier at Design Mix in LA agreed to exchange the chairs if I am willing to pay all shipping costs for the return, and the new delivery. Considering I am in Massachusetts, that's a hefty expense, and one I shouldn't have to bear. Bottom line: they misrepresented their product, and use a 48-hour window for "gotcha!" sales tactics.

Bought an expensive Bali daybed from Mix. They showed us a photo of the bed before shipping and it had been outside and the color had faded. We pointed this out and said we were buying the daybed they advertised, which looked like a clean, nicely stained piece of indoor furniture, not one with weather damage. So they re-finished the outdoor piece for us since it was the only queen size they had. Also, they advertised a shipping price of $200. They said this was a mistake and wanted more to cover the actual shipping costs, but they agreed to match the price they advertised when I held them to it. Once the daybed finally arrived and the delivery folks brought it into our living room, we saw the back was not at a 90° angle to the floor of the bed; rather, it was pushed forward about 15°. I took photos and sent them to Mix. Mix took no responsibility and blamed the delivery folks who “must have damaged it in transit.” However, we discovered later the arm rest on the left side was glued at such an angle, and with such strong adhesive, that it had to have left the shop in that condition. We had to pay a third party woodworker $600 to come in and correct the problem. Mix would not cover any of the cost. Obviously, I would not buy from them again.
