Student visas are now processed thru a 3rd party processor instead of at the consulate in Los Angeles. The employees were professional. If you have all of your correct documents and arrive on time it’s an easy process. I can’t stress following the exact document list for your situation, make copies of everything and bring your money order to pay for the visa and then a debit card to pay for the BLS (3rd party) processing fees.

Office shame. I have been living abroad for many years and accessing consular services. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. You are an absolute disgrace and I hope you are punished for what you are doing or rather, for what you are NOT doing.

excellent service!! They gave me my student visa very quickly. The two young Mexicans who work there were very friendly and did an exemplary job.

I had an absolutely horrible time trying to reach anyone to speak to at this consulate. The recording is terrible and very difficult to understand and they afforded me no chance at all to speak to anyone

After reading EVERY single review, I have come to the conclusion the appointment site is rigged for upper class requests, like "researcher visas", therefore the workers there are all xenophobic ghouls.

I have been trying to make an appointment with the consulate for more than a year after obtaining American citizenship and it is a mission impossible. There are no appointments for absolutely anything and the appointment system or portal is a fraud. I was able to see an appointment to schedule and immediately the appointment was deleted. I'm going to complain about this and go where I have to go because this is unacceptable. There are no appointments even for tourist Schengen visas. A total fraud and then they take holidays here and in Spain. Can you explain to me when you work and when you are going to enable a decent appointment system? This is the last straw...... If I could give 0 stars I would. OUTRAGEOUS.

My congratulations ? to the staff today, June 24, 2024, we were with my husband renewing his passport and they were very kind. We were there for 30 minutes and observed the treatment of the people present and with everyone, including us, the attention was very kind, unlike before. 2 years ago it was very disappointing, very bad attention to us and the other people were the same, so much so that a man simply asked for help since he did not live in California and he was missing a document for his procedure and at no time was the man rude or rude, he was just asking for someone who could help him solve it since he was traveling from afar, they threatened to call security and another couple to register their children, it was the same in a bad way, today we arrived with great suspicion of knowing what could happen but we left very happy with your attention ??? thank you very much

It is impossible to contact them by phone, letter, email or smoke signals. I've been trying for months and have never received a response. I have sent my documentation by regular mail to be able to register at this consulate and I have not received any response. Something as simple as renewing a passport becomes an extreme headache.
It is a shame !

Magnificent attention and excellent work.
I made an appointment through the website. On the day of the appointment I brought the required documentation that appears on the website and the copies they requested. Once there, they reviewed my documentation and processed the papers. I got my passport home in less than a month.
The American administration would like to function just as well.

We have been waiting for a month for a response to the emails we have sent you, since there is no such information on the page. For better, another consulate that is not in their jurisdiction responded to us in 2 days, but it is up to you. Having a single email for everything is very wrong.

I had a very nice experience at this consulate. I was helped by Christina and Raquel. They are so knowledgeable and helped us so much. We were missing a few things that they let us leave and go get - we had driven from Arizona. They were patient and really made us feel comfortable. I think that they did an exceptional job and look forward to thanking them when we pick up our visas.
