I have never ran into a group of unprofessional workers for Citi bank ever. I paid them a visit to open an IRA account, the first worker, tells me, I need an appt because she has a customer coming in any minute, then they tried to put portions of my check on hold until 12/22... that's fine I understood the steps they had to go through next I requested print out of my Zelle transaction only, nothing else, but instead of telling me they can't do it, I was sent to a very rude assistant manager Carlos Selvas who was telling me I would be charged $5.00 for each transactions... I tried to understand by asking him why so much, all I need is print out for Zelle for the last 4 months, he was arguing with me because I told him I've never been charged for such services and I've been with Citi Bank over 20 years, again, he was trying to argue with me, never once did he say, "have a seat, "I just stood there with my knee throbbing. I got home, and noticed those unprofessional workers gave me my statements for 4 months, with no Zelle printouts. They're rude and racist from what I could see... an all Latinos workers in a black neighborhood treating the Afro Americans as if we are not welcomed in our own neighborhood and Bank. Damn shame! They need to pay attention and listen when customers are trying to get help, what a wasted trip. I'll take my IRA account to another bank.

If I could give zero stars I would. Had to take public transportation which cost money and I had to walk over 1.5 miles to get there, but I walked into this branch over an hour before closing. I, then went to the window I was directed to. I had two forms of ID and a check to cash. This check was written by a Citibank account holder to me. I was told, very flippantly that I could not cash the check at this branch. I was told I'd have to go to the Gardena branch to cash it. Well, if I had a car and this was not a pandemic situation, I would be a little less upset, but 1) I was going to have to take a 54 minute bus route and walk more to get to this branch. This puts my health at risk, unnecessarily. 2) By the time I got to the branch, it would be closed since the branches are closing at 4pm, due to Covid-19. I asked the manager, Karina Sierra, if she can make an exception. She said no, very rudely, adding that she would not make an exception because I was not a customer. She then asked me to leave the branch. I, then asked if I could open an account so that I could cash the check at this branch. She refused. She asked me to leave the branch again. There was only one other person ahead of us with an hour until closing and she said they can only help me if I have an appointment. She said the customer ahead of us, who was being helped already, was the last appointment of the day. She said that I could come back Thursday if I wanted to open an account. She, again asked me to leave. The way she spoke was condescending and rude. I asked if there was any way she could help me and told her that I was uncomfortable leaving my house over and over, exposing me to Covid-19, just because she didn't feel like making an exception or helping me in any way. She was very smug in her replies and insisted I leave. I was absolutely embarrassed and insulted being treated this way. I asked for the number and name of the Regional manager. She argued with me, telling me she would give me a card with the general phone number on it. I asked why she couldn't give me a direct number and she said that was the number she was going to give me. She walked back and got a card with her name on it. She also wrote the number of the a regional Manager. She asked me to leave again and I told her that I was going to call right then and told her that I would leave after I made the call. It's tough to get through the phone system without an account, but I managed and got placed on hold for a long time. Then, an employee came out and asked for ID and the check and stated that her manager was talking to the Regional manager on the phone and they wanted to get the process started. After several minutes I was told to come to the window and they started the process. Then, I was told that in order to get this check cashed I'd have to contact the person who issued the check and have them call a number to verify that the check was legitimate. I had been in the branch for over an hour at this point. I got ahold of the person who gave me the check and she called the number given. This experience was absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. We were made to look like criminals or degenerates. I was so embarrassed and upset. In the end, we left with the money, but I will never ever bank with Citibank.

So far I called 13 times and no answered at all. They kept transferring me to headquarters. That's an embarrassment honestly. I'm going to go in and take some pictures to see the lack of customer service. The pictures will be attach to this review. This place lacks staff and customer service. I wasn't introduce to anyone when I walked in. Even after making eye contact with some bankers. I also attached a photo of a banker who walked away from me instead of introducing himself to me. It's honestly sad to see a good bank with great potential go to waste like this. Literally all the employees look miserable and sad to be working here. Not many citi banks are like this one but I feel like with a little bit more charisma and urgency mix with happiness; this bank will get more ratings and 5 star ratings. This isn't a downfall this is constructive criticism.

Worst banking I have ever done. Big mistake. Do your self a favor n seek other banks. BofA is alright down side, they shut the ATMs early. Chase treats you BETTER. Citi Bank is empty for a reason. Dont let the no lines fool you. Thieves!

This review is prompted by my experience this morning. I have a CitiBank Gold account and this is the branch closest to my home. I needed to send a small international wire transfer. I got to the branch as it opened and because I thought this would something the service desk would handle I went there. The woman there told me to get in line. I got in line, waited 15 to 20 minutes, and then the clerk apparently did not know how to send a wire transfer so I was sent back to the service desk. Once there the gentlemen explained that his computer was down and wandered away for about five minutes. When he came back he told me that the fee would be $45. I had read online that the fee would $25 because of my CitiBank Gold status. He consulted his computer and informed that the fee would $35 in the branch or $25 online. At that point I had spent 25 to 30 minutes trying to execute a simple transaction. I do appreciate that he told me about online transfers being cheaper. It seemed that he, unlike the first person at the service desk was making an attempt to be helpful. What went wrong: The first person could have helped me to send the transfer. The first person could have explained the online/in branch fee structure which would allowed me to make a decision before wasting half an hour. The second person could have informed of the fee structure before wandering away while his computer booted. So that was my experience this morning. In general I use ATMs and online banking so I'm not very concerned with how efficient my local branch. When I do have to go into this branch the service varies from good to fairly mediocre but I have to be much more vigilant about making certain that transactions are correct than I am at other branches.

This bank is so slow. There used to be a time where you can walk in and out. Everyone should be sent to other branches immediately.
