I chose to get my transmission replaced at Choi's Transmission on the advice of Stacey from Affordable Care of Hollywood down the block. John Choi was friendly, accommodating, and communicative. He clearly outlined the problems with my transmission and suggested the most cost-effective way to address them. While working on my car, he observed that 2 of my engine mounts were damaged, and was able to source affordable OEM replacements for me, installing them for no added labor charge. He also replaced my battery, using his contacts at Autozone to get them to honor the battery warranty when they were unwilling to do so. Thanks to Choi's Transmission, my car drives smooth as butter, and I am confident that should any problems arise, John will honor the included 12-month warranty. Thanks John!

The owner john is so knowledgeable about transmissions he won't do it unless it's done right he will tell you exactly what it needs and the price before he gets started will recommend definitely.

You should be aware that the Bureau of Automotive Repairs has certified that John Choi dba Choi's Transmission Center is an unlicensed transmission shop and he has no business taking money from the public for automotive repairs. He is an incompetent halfwit who ruins vehicles and you need to go find a reputable repair shop--not this con man. His father (James Choi), the previous owner, died two years ago, and John has never been licensed to do business at this address.

Great and accurate service. Very knowledgeable staff. I had my Toyota's transmission rebuilt there after visiting several other repair shops. Mr.Choi diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed it.

GREAT job guys!My transmission was shot, and I wasn't sure where to turn. A friend recommended a shop that has been in the neighborhood forever (which is usually a good sign.) I brought my car in, they were helpful, friendly, and the price was really reasonable. Great service and work.

I brought in my 2008 BMW 750 LI for a whole new transmission because BMW charged an arm and a leg. Look for John he is the owner and I think this place has been in business for a while as a family business. They also gave me a ride to my office, which was thoughtful and appreciated because taxi prices are high! If anything goes wrong, he will take care of you. Trustworthy shop!
