I've been coming here for years and will be coming here for many years more. It's the only place I've ever found where my pups are comfortable and well cared for. Tucked away near the 10 freeway, it's a little hard to find, and the parking is limited, but the customers tend to be spread out in their pick up and drop off times enough that it's usually not a problem. The only real busy time is after work. When I board my dogs, I'm always comforted knowing they are in such good care. As a dog owner of a pup with lots of medical needs, I know they are reliable at delivering his medications on time and updating me of any problems. his medications as needed. When I'm traveling, they send me photos of both my pups and tell me how they are getting along and what they are doing. It's fun to hear them interacting with the other dogs and how they make friends. Both my pups are excited to arrive and greet all the workers there happily. Joann has been a stand out over the years and even recommended an excellent veterinarian nearby for us. The only thing I've found that I don't like here, is how it always smells like dog urine. It's understandable with that many dogs coming and going but it's very unpleasant, and I feel like it traps me into buying the expensive bath for my dogs because they are so stinky when they leave.

What a nightmare! I planned to use them while I traveled. I paid, purchased packages & sent my dog there for daycare in preparation for a longer trip. I talked to multiple staff members, including one of the managers in preparation and when my roommate went to drop off my dog, they refused to take her. Now I am a 6 hour flight away & I have no care for my dog. Do not trust them. They are too disorganized to trust with your fur baby.

Don’t come here. I used to work here and the general manager is sexist towards men. Very biased, fake and patronizing towards male employees. Very unprofessional and condones inappropriate conduct in the workplace. I’ve been doing this for 13 + years and have never experienced a more unprofessional toxic environment.

They are so awesome. I was nervous sending Bear for a weekend and they sent me photos of her having fun. We paid extra for the bath and she was so soft when she came home. Definitely going back & I strongly recommend them. Their prices are incredibly reasonable too

Cagefree K-9 is my dog's favorite place in the universe. My dog looks at me in the car after we leave with begging eyes saying, "Please take me back to my friends!" I don't live in LA, but I go out of my way to drive my dog into the city because of how great this place is, and has been for roughly the 9 years I've been bringing him here. I am not associated with this business whatsoever. It probably isn't my place, but I'd like to address some previous negative reviews as a person with a logical and normal-functioning brain: - Doggie Dentals are expensive, but the best. I brush my dogs teeth, but a true deep clean is needed from time to time. If you don't understand what 'every 4 months' means, I'd advise that you invest in a calendar. - If you don't pay a little extra to get your dog washed, your dog will smell like a dirty dog when you pick them up. - Don't adopt a dog with anxiety/issues if you don't know how to properly train and work with a dog who has anxiety/issues. All shelters provide 'best guesses' as to age and breed of rescue dogs. What if the original owners are the ones who lied? Thanks to all the hardworking staff members at Cagefree. You work really hard to care for our pups, and are underappreciated by some of these Yelpers...

Beware of the Doggie Dental Cleaning here. I brought my dog back for an appointment today after 4 months and 1 week. The price they advertise is $65 if you bring your dog every 4 months. When they finished the cleaning after about 25 minutes they told me the price would be $145. This is the price they advertise as the highest price you would pay if it is your first time coming. When I asked how it jumped from $65 to $145 when I was just 1 week past the 4 months from the last cleaning, the cleaner tersely replied "You should have come on time. It was a big job." Well, they had my dog in back so I kind of had to pay. And I guess it was on me for not getting the price ahead of time. But just beware - get your price confirmed ahead of time!

CageFree is by far the best boarding my dog has ever attended. He has been attending daycare/boarding here for over a year and there is little turnover in staff and I know my dog appreciates the familiar friendly faces. Each member goes above and beyond to make sure my little guy is safe, cared for and loved!

This review is long overdue. I am so grateful for Cage-free and the incredible staff. I have been bringing my dog here for over a year for daycare and boarding. Recently my sister also started to board her family dog here! The team is incredible, reliable, and communicative. I love receiving photos of my dog at camp, and my dog jumps out of the car every time we pull up and every time he sees one of his favorite staff members !!

I took my Blu to this daycare for the first time yesterday and I can tell she had the best time, I had to write a review right away! Let me start with the fact that they pick up the phone. Period lol. The woman I spoke with was kind and patient on the phone when I was inquiring as a nervous pet parent.I’ve used a daycare nearby before and watched through a live feed and noticed Blu was having an awful time. She was pacing - had no where to rest. When I picked up her up, her paws were soaked in urine and she smelled for days, even after bathing her several times. I’ve looked into SO many daycares at this point to find one that makes me feel comfortable, knowing my dog. When I’ve asked to look at the facility at other locations, they were confused and reluctant. My experience here was the opposite. The first time I walked in, the lady at the front was so wonderful and then took me on a tour - unprompted! Didn’t make me feel stupid for wanting to check out where I’ll be leaving my dog for hours. She didn't just rip my dog out of my arms and take her inside without me. There were so many beds and areas for pups to rest! The dogs were so cute and were having a blast w the handler in the room. The large dogs have the coolest space and they also all seemed to be verrrrryyyyy relaxed and were all taking naps lol. I had a pleasant experience during the short meet & greet visit that I brought Blu in the very next day for a few hours to see how she would like it before I had to leave her all day this week. When I picked her up, she was SO HAPPY it was the sweetest thing ever. She seemed so comfortable roaming around and it put my mind at ease. At first I was kind of nervous not being able to see a live camera feed, but that went right out the window when I saw how happy she clearly was. When I picked her up, the woman at the front was telling me all about Blu’s little behaviors, which is exactly the way she is so it was really nice to hear she was acting like her playful puppy self (she can get a bit anxious). Later in the day, Blu really wanted to go outside and kept signaling that she wants to go out, which she never does (she’s a homebody dog).A very long winded way of saying, I’m so grateful to have found a place 2 mins from me that my dog clearly loves. Thankful to the staff who clearly takes great care of the dogs. I drove by this place often and always saw little doggos being walked by the staff. After a few weeks of driving by and contemplating, I’m so relieved and thankful! I don’t even need a monthly membership but I’m really considering getting one just to give her a place to go and socialize at. Highly recommend!!

Don't come here. Even if their baths are cheaper than everywhere else, they can't be trusted. I brought my dog in for a bath twice. After the second time, I was told when checking out that my dog is "banned" from this location because she "bit a bather." My immediate thought was "is the bather ok?" yet after spending some time thinking about it, I'd love to know what they did to provoke my dog, who has never bit any bather, let alone anyone. No transparency whatsoever when I asked questions, just that we were no longer allowed to return for a bath but could for daycare. Why would we ever return for anything? They did not handle this situation well at all and to be expected when they have a young kid with zero social skills running the front desk. In hindsight, everything worked out as it was meant to because who knows how they treated my dog. If she reacted the way she did, I trust it's because she wasn't treated well.
