Best preschool in Los Angeles! I have 3 children currently enrolled for 2024-2025. The educational program is amazing led 3 tenured Bachelor of Science teachers. I strongly recommend this preschool. They have a few openings left for the upcoming school year 2024-2025. Ages 2 1/2-5, must be potty trained, and reasonably priced.

We started in Jan. 2023 and we LOVE it here at BBCA. Such a welcoming, warm family of staff and teachers and students. They play, teach you all about kindness, being gentle, respectful, independent and confident. You learn to express your feelings, your concerns, your wants and your needs, and celebrate your accomplishments along the way. My child gained skills beyond all my expectations and she just thrives here. They help students cope, they guide parents, they offer lessons beyond the classroom settings for all the kiddos. My little one has grown so much here and we love all the families who come as well. This is the true gem in west side and I hope more would get to experience it. See photos for some ideas. Thank you to Ms. Orr, Ms. Gabb, Ms. Ambroise and all the other TA and staff for making this place so magical. :)

This is the best preschool in the area! My daughter attended Building Blocks from 2021 to 2023. She had Ms. Ambrose and Ms. Gabb, both fantastic teachers. They really care about the students. My daughter learned so much here; they give the kids a lot of attention and it shows when they come home from school. I did not expect my 4 year old daughter to come home one day and explain to me how magnets have North and south pole, and how north attracts south...

My son just graduated from Building Blocks and it's such a bitter sweet moment. He attended the school only for one year and I so wished we would sign him up earlier. The whole year, it felt like the preschool always made an extra step in caring for kids, fun activities, tending to parents questions, etc. And I have an older child, so yes, I do compare) I was completely sold, when I came to pick my son up on Halloween and the teacher told me he spilled soy sauce on his white costume and she WASHED IT, so he could wear it for trick-or-treating in the evening! And that's how the school functions overall, they are not there just to watch the child from 8am-12pm, they are there to help them thrive! I can write so much more, because I'm leaving the school with a heart filled with gratitude. I will recommend the school if you want your child to feel loved, taken care off and supported!

This is the BEST pre school in LA! The teachers are kind attentive and thoughtful in what they teach your kids and ensure they install the Christian values that the world needs more than ever, if you want your kids to have the best possible start then it's Building Blocks!

Building Blocks was the first daycare my daughter joined. Enrolling her in daycare was both difficult for her and myself, especially having to start during the pandemic. My daughter was having separation anxiety the first 2 weeks of daycare. However, every single one of the teachers were so supportive of both my daughter and I as we adjusted to this new transition. By the 3rd week, my daughter was so excited to go to daycare that she would even ask to go on the weekends. Her confident level has grown, and academically she has caught up with all her peers. Every day after school, she is eager to share with me what she has learned, what new science project they worked on, and the song they have been learning. She has made so many friends and is thriving. Building Blocks has made it possible for me to leave my daughter at daycare and feel confident that my daughter will be well taken care of while I'm away. I am forever grateful to all of the teachers.

We LOVE Building Blocks! We had heard great things from friends who attended so when we were looking for a preschool for our 2.5 year old son we made sure to put Building Blocks on the top of our list. Initially I was impressed by the facilities--safe, spacious, AND AN AWESOME PLAYGROUND! And as time went on we saw that the teachers are all committed to the development of the whole child. They strike a great balance of play based learning. My son really enjoys the activities and lessons from the Bible stories to the art activities. There's a great ratio of teachers to students. The students are broken up into age level groups for age appropriate development but they also get to play across age levels at times. I always feel safe and confident that my son is in good hands when I drop him off. The kids have a ton of fun and I feel like my son will be very well prepared for kindergarten.

Highly recommend. Our daughter went here for preschool and we plan to send our youngest child here when they are old enough.The staff are very engaged with the kids and communicative with the parents. They work on all sorts of skills and teach them all sorts of things, all while having fun! My daughter learned the form and sounds for all the letters in the alphabet, practiced counting, learned about the ocean, and, most importantly, learned more about Jesus and his grace. She really likes the Bible stories (a new one every week!) and she sings the worship songs at home. The teachers keep track of their progress in all sorts of areas, such as fine motor skills, verbal articulation, listening comprehension, etc. The staff read stories to the kids at lunch every day, which is a great way to consistently engage them in using their imaginations and comprehension skills. And I am excited to see their end of the year show next week!

My daughter started at Building Blocks this fall at 2 1/2. I was a bit anxious as to how she would adapt to school. I have been amazed at how much she LOVES school. The teachers are all patient, kind and so experienced. I have been so impressed with the program. This is not a daycare-it is an educational program. The teachers have clearly put a lot of thought and time in developing age appropriate curriculum. My daughter has grown so much verbally, emotionally and socially. I'm excited to see all of the growth that will continue to happen the next 2 years! Building Blocks has also given my daughter a stronger spiritual foundation. This element of the program was most important to me. I want her in an atmosphere knowing and growing in Jesus's love for her. The teachers implement this in all aspects of the day including the gentle, loving, and respectful nature they model to each student and parent!

As a healthcare worker in this pandemic, I am glad I found a safe haven for my daughter. We started during the toughest times in the pandemic, but the school and everyone there were and are still very diligent in following the Covid guidelines and all public health safety measures. Their efforts are not wasted because after hearing a lot of my patient's stories of Covid cases and closures at other schools, I feel blessed I didn't have to experience any of that chaos. My daughter is thriving and it's so cute catching her pray or sing new songs that she have learned at school. The director herself and all the teachers are so committed, loving, and so patient. These past 2 years are probably the most trying and exhausting time to be in education, and they have really gone above and beyond for the kids. Building Blocks is truly a gem. Can't recommend them enough.

I can't rave enough about Building Blocks! We've had two children go through preschool here and it has been a great joy to be part of their community! The LA preschool scene can be surprisingly intense and we were so happy to find BBCA, which feels like a "normal," happy, loving preschool and community. I always tell people "if Daniel Tiger's preschool came to life, it would be BBCA." The teachers are both nurturing and educational, and it's so easy to trust leaving our children in their care. Their clear and organized communication has excelled from the very first tour through 3+ years we've been here. During Covid, the staff and teachers went above and beyond to continue education in appropriate and safe ways. They worked to accommodate all families' needs and made us feel so cared for during this very chaotic time. We will always consider Building Blocks a part of our family, even after our kids have all graduated. What a blessing. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars! And wish they had even more grades beyond pre-k!!

We had to decide whether we were going to pursue preschool for our twin boys during the global pandemic in 2020 and it was a very difficult decision as no one knew the right answer. As parents who struggled working remotely at home, we decided it was best to ease them in to it part-time. The BBCA team were diligent in following all the Covid guidelines and necessary precautions and we quickly went from 2 half days a week to 5 full days a week. This is our 2nd year enrolled, and our boys are still very happy and thriving (and knock on wood- haven't really caught any illnesses). We highly recommend Building Blocks and all their lovely teachers! Pros: 1. Huge, bright, covered, lovely outdoor area with all the things 2. Teachers are super warm, conscientious, and most importantly very patient. 3. Classroom is well maintained with different play + learning areas that get routinely switched up. 4. Great mix of kids (age 2.5-5) 5. Extracurricular activities (soccer, chapel day, etc.) 6. They have extra care if you need add'l care before or after hours.

We love this school! My daughter is so happy here. We are currently only sending her two days a week but she asks to go every day. The director is so wonderful and very helpful, quick to answer any questions I have. The teachers are well trained, kind and patient. My daughter comes home excited to tell us all about her friends, teachers and whatever new Bible story, educational concept or song she's learned that day. The class room is beautiful and well maintained and there is a huge grassy play area with new playground equipment. What a fantastic place for children to learn and grow. UPDATE: Still LOVE this school! Already put my 2nd child on next year waitlist!
