As a WOC, I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in a store. Sales reps just stare and don't offer any assistance. Where as when a person with lighter complexion walks in they go above and beyond. Unfortunately, I am not the only one who has experienced this and it goes to show how consistent this location is in their treatment to POC. Do better.

They had everything I needed- and more! I try to walk by quickly, but they carry Skin Ceuticals - trouble! They’re super friendly, and don’t frown upon dog owners. Great shop!

I never really write reviews, but felt compelled to after this. I walked into the store and began to look for a specific product I needed and the sales person came up to me and told me there is no shopping being done until the afternoon and if I wanted something I had to place an order outside. Meanwhile the doors are wide open to walk in. There's no one in the store like what can't people come in and shop during normal business hours? Will be taking my business elsewhere. This was so bizarre.

The mission of Blue Mercury was reflected very poorly on their values of Ensuring that the culture within their walls feels inclusive to all was far from my experience I had at this located.As soon as I arrive with my husband & son. We were followed everywhere and it was obvious. We are minorities and felt that we were treated differently.I explained this to one of the employees as she watched her coworker follow my black husband around the store. Her only explanation was that they had someone come in 30 min earlier and steal at their store. That was it. As she continued to watch my family and I be followed and made felt very uncomfortable and targeted at this store.This store is in no way reflects or is committed to the mission to create a welcoming space where everyone in our community could share in the power of beauty.If your a minority I highly recommend you shop anywhere else. This store at this location is no way a welcoming space for minorities to have a pleasant shopping experience.

My shopping experience at this location was abysmal. Before going, I searched the blue mercury website for a specific type of product and found 10-20 items matching the search. I went to the store and asked them to show me the products and was told they only have one - a very expensive one. I asked 3 or 4 times “so this is the only one you have?” And was told yes by multiple sales reps. Finally I mentioned that I saw others on the website and asked if they have any store or if they’re only online. It wasn’t until specifically mentioning several others that the sales reps finally showed me the other options. I should not have to advocate that hard for myself to find products. I should not be lied to my face multiple times by multiple sales reps. No thank you. Might as well order online or take your business elsewhere since you’re not going to get service from this location.

I have lived in Hancock Park for 41 years. When my family moved into the neighborhood in '81, we were one of 2 families of color. To say we have watched the neighborhood and Larchmont evolve is an understatement. Enter Blue Mercury. Despite the fact that I am forced to shop here out of convenience bc it carries the brands I use, I am ALWAYS blown away by how rude, and seemingly racist the staff is. They never acknowledge me, they always act like I am inconveniencing them when I need to check out and they watch me like a hawk as though I am going to pilfer something. After my last visit, where the same white associate with long blonde hair who has begrudgingly helped me numerous times (each time with me spending several hundred dollars) asked me if I had ever shopped there before, I have vowed never to return. She especially never fails to treat me like a second class citizen that isnt going to spend. This store needs new management and needs a staff overhaul. The reviews here clearly support my sentiments of racist employees who do not like their jobs and have zero interest in helping anyone. If this store shutdown, the Blvd. would be a better place!

Picked up an $80 bottle of perfume and the woman working snapped at me like I was a misbehaving child. Very weird behavior. Relax. Won't be shopping here again.

One of the employees was super helpful, I wish I got his name! He helped me find the right shade in foundation which was a serious task. He told me I could pull my mask down while trying them on, so I could make sure I'm getting the right match. But literally two seconds after I pulled it down to apply to my cheek, another employee walked up and asked me to pull my mask up over my nose! It was shocking and awkward and rude lol. Normally, I get it, but THIS IS A MAKEUP STORE. And there was NOBODY else in the store besides me and the 3 employees lol. Are they forreal? Also, this other lady who either worked there or was repping a company kept interrupting me to show me some random product line that I had no interest in. I think they need some sales training up in there. SOS. But otherwise, great products.

I am a regular to this store. Today there was a girl named Andrea who seems to be having a horrible day. She got an attitude and treated me badly. I will not be returning to this store. There are many other stores with same products with way better customer service.

It's upsetting when you walk in a place and you aren't acknowledged. I had to walk up to the counter to ask for help and even then the two girls working at the counter looked at each other with hesitation to see who would get to help me. However when a white woman walks in shortly after you, that's when the warm greetings come out and the staff immediately leaves counter to see if they need any help. I'm never coming back here again
