Our daughter has attended Beverlywood Montessori Preschool for almost 2 years now and we all love it. She looks forward to school every day and comes home with the most amazing artwork and activities. She takes dance, yoga and soccer there, and they also have water activities on Fridays during the summer. The teachers are warm, attentive and communicative. We know she is safe and nurtured while at school every day. We selected the school for its Spanish immersion curriculum, but we stay because she loves school and her teachers. She has never in 2 years said she doesn't want to go! Amazing! Ms. Iza, the Director, is wonderful and so responsive. Highly recommend.

Our almost 3 year old son started at Beverlywood Montessori in late July 2020 after they reopened from the pandemic. Ms. Yazmin, Ms. Iza, and Ms. Wendy have been very diligent and careful to follow all pandemic protocols. Our son runs into school each day excited to learn Spanish and play with the other kids. My wife and I both work full time and they have done a great job putting our mind at ease during this difficult time. We get pictures and videos everyday of him with his friends learning Montessori skills. Within two months he came home singing multiple nursery rhymes (Twinkle Twinkle little star, etc). He also was counting to 10 in Spanish and naming colors within a month of being in their immersion program. We have been very impressed. They've been very communicative about everything and have been always easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We couldn't have been happier with Beverlywood Montessori. We adored the teachers and our daughter loved the school and learned a lot. Every day she came home happy, saying that she had "fun fun fun fun fun!!" They did a wonderful job recently implementing COVID-19 safety measures, including socially distanced pick-up and drop-off, screenings at drop-off, frequent hand washing, teachers always wearing masks, keeping the classes separate, cleaning things frequently, etc. They were also very good about teaching the children about the virus and germs and explaining everything to them. We felt safe and confident sending our daughter there. We just moved to Northern California, and we all miss BMP greatly and wish our daughter could have stayed. It has our highest recommendation.

My husband and I have been so impressed with how Beverlywood has handled COVID. We are both working full time jobs so when the school reopened in July, we did not hesitate to send our daughter back. The teachers have done a great job - they are always wearing their masks and they keep us updated with pictures and videos during the day. Each child has their own bag of arts and crafts supplies and they keep the classes separate so there is no contamination. We feel so confident in the care and teaching our daughter is receiving and she is blossoming there. Highly recommend!

TLDR: Beverlywood Montessori Preschool ("BMP") is, in a word, fantastic. The owners have been in the business for decades and the teachers are all Montessori certified. The best part, IMHO, is the full Spanish Immersion program. Most kids enter with no (or maybe limited) Spanish knowledge and graduate with solid proficiency. All around an A+ preschool. Full Review: I think it's a little funny that I'm reviewing a preschool, because it feels like just yesterday that I was scouring through Yelp and Google (and any place that I could find) to look for reviews about preschools for my daughter. Fast forward 3 1/2 years later and now my second child is in preschool and here we are. BMP is a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. The owners of the preschool are not the owners of the building. I think this is important to point out because the exterior of the building, in my opinion is perfectly acceptable, but it is not picturesque and pristine. The inside of the building (i.e. the classrooms), however, are amazing. There are 3 classrooms and all of them are wonderfully decorated with age appropriate decor and Montessori educational items. My daughter started here at age 3 with very little to no real Spanish proficiency. She graduated 2 years later speaking in full sentences, counting to 100, and fully comprehending Spanish conversation. She was well prepared for Spanish Immersion Kindergarten and is thriving. Her former classmates who entered both Spanish immersion and/or traditional English Kinder are all thriving as well. Regarding the curriculum: This is a real Montessori School. The classes have multiage groupings that foster peer learning, uninterrupted blocks of work time, and guided choice of work activity. Each class has their own dedicated Montessori learning materials and the presentation is aesthetically pleasing. The teachers and Director take care to really learn and understand each child. They foster and encourage independence, freedom within limits, and a sense of order (use of place mats at lunch, cleaning up after yourself, etc). We saw my daughter (and now my son) learn to express themselves through individual choice, but also seek support and/or guidance from the teacher (or us at home) when it is needed. One of the best parts about BMP are the families that you will meet. Obviously, being one of those families, I'm a little biased :-), but truthfully we did not expect to find such caring wonderful families through this process. It is even more telling, that many of the families at BMP have multiple children attend and graduate from the school. Even though my daughter has graduated, we still get together for play dates with her BMP friends. And along the way some of us adults have also become good friends. At the end of the day, I think every parent tries to make choices that they believe is best for their child. For my family, BMP has been absolutely perfect. I think if you come to the school, take a tour, and see all of the wonderful learning and friendship that flows from this wonderful place you will see that BMP is a truly special preschool.

Our son started here soon after he turned 2 and is about to begin his second full year. The school experience has just been amazing for him. His social skills, language, self-confidence and sense of personal responsibility blossomed quickly. He's also in the Spanish Immersion program and is already out-pacing us (with our years of high school Spanish) as a Spanish speaker -- his accent is phenomenal! The teachers provide a warm, supportive environment, and we feel so lucky we found this place!

Our son joined this summer and our experience thus far has been amazing. Environment -- The school is divided up into 3 classrooms with ~12 kids per room. The rooms are clean and well organized. They have a kitchen onsite which isn't very large but has adequate space to house all the necessities. The outdoor space is large with a large slide/jungle gym space. There is plenty of room for children to run around and you can tell they take pride in keeping the space clean yet warm. Curriculum -- Our son is in the Spanish immersion program and in just a short time his Spanish skills progressed so well. The teachers are committed to talking to the children in Spanish and really encouraging them to engage back in the language. I love that they send home all the class work he works on so that we can see what he is practicing every week. Overall we have been really impressed with the curriculum and how much he has learned. Teachers -- We are constantly receiving feedback from the teachers on our son's progress which has been so helpful. They really do work with the parents as a team. The teachers and the director are so warm to the kids which is also nice to see. Extras -- They do many in school field trips and offer extracurricular activities such as soccer and dance. This really is a great way to get children exposed to other activities. We can't wait to see our son continue to grow at Beverlywood Montessori.

I can not express how amazing this school is! My husband and I feel like we have found a gem, and we couldn't be happier. My daughter views her school as a second home, and that means the world to us. Her language has exploded since she started, and she feels so loved by the teachers. The director communicates every detail so we're never left wondering about the curriculum or special events, and the teachers really focus on the students' socio-emotional development. We are blessed to be a part of this family.
