Good customer service, but over all, the breakfast was wonderful, not gonna lie I think her name was Josefina, she was super nice and helpful, everything was 10/10. I always thought that the breakfast in the hotels was terrible, but here, believe me, you're gonna love

I’ve always book with best western and never had a complaint but this one honestly not the best I had to book this one because my husband was at the USC hospital having surgery and like I always stay at best western but this one was the worst one I’ve ever been I was told my parking was going to be validated and that was not true I paid $18 for parking then only one elevator for all of the guests the staff was polite the the bed are hard you could feel the metal springs also what I didn’t like is that they give you only one ticket for breakfast so that means if you want to go back later you can’t honestly I will never stay here again

Very rude manager. Parking is for small cars only and is 18/night. Right when I was comfortable and asleep I got a call to move my car as the roof was leaking. Very noisy, no earplugs available.Rooms: Don't stay !

i’m big on reviews rather than booking off pictures, this hotel had good reviews and the price was right , i’ve only been in my room for a couple hours and i just wanna say super comfortable beds , quiet rooms nice flat screen tv and a full size body mirror! they also have a parking lot that is secured for a extra cost of like 18$ most hotels charge double that !!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Dodger Stadium is a 4-minute drive away and you're close to downtown attractions.Parking is reasonably priced at $18.The interior of the common areas is unique due to the Chinatown location, but the rooms are spacious and simple. It was quiet at night and I felt that there was no problem with public safety.Breakfast included pancakes and waffles that you could make yourself. This is a high cost performance hotel.

Plus:1. 10 mins drive to universal studio2. Close to downtown. We used escooters3. Its in chinatown. Restuarants are in 1 mile4. Awesome breakfast for free. We loved the food5. Parking fee is $18 for a night. In and out if you sray in the hotel6. TV is connect3d with chromecast. So kids enjoyed their shows.7. Mini fridge and a coffee maker helped us to store our food and make hot water for kids/noodles.Minus:1. I usually check the AC filters in any hotels. Its was fully covered with dust. Cleaned it myself. I dont blame the hotel. Informed them about this. They need to clean all the rooms AC filtersevery 4 months once atleast2. Could have given a mini microwave. Since the hotel is bit far from the restaurant during winters we could have stored food on 4 nights stay.Overall, our stay was awesome .

I'm really disappointed with the customer service I received. I have stayed here before and my dog was previously allowed. I booked 2 nights on a third-party website where it stated that this hotel allowed dogs. When I arrived, management told me that they changed their policy that same day but did not update any of their information on any websites. Management was no help and extremely rude.

The location is bad, parked in their extremely small underground parking the validation room number was placed on dash...but around 3:30 in the morning the phone starts ringing like crazy & they start with the knocking at the door just rude it looked so quiet & peaceful & all for what they wanted our vehicle moved, we grabbed our stuff & left

Stayed here for the Depeche Mode concert at Crypto Arena. Worked out well being just 1/2 mile from the Chinatown Metro station (took the train here from San Diego). Underground parking is decent if you drove there, but $5 daily fee / $18 overnight charge I think the sign said? I walked down there because I couldn't find the entrance from the outside. Later on I learned it's the door on the left if you go straight through the courtyard, just past the Post Office. (yes, there's one there, too!) Lots of comfy seating outside if you want to relax and enjoy the view. Hill Street seems reasonably safe outside at night, even quiet then, but plenty of traffic in the day time. (hey, it's a bustling metropolis, this L.A. city you know?) Friendly clerk checked me in and gave me a top floor room! No one stomping above me (I deal with that at home already in my bottom-floor apartment.) so I give her extra points for that. 2 key cards, breakfast voucher, free Wifi info, and went over all the details. Very patient with the few questions I had. The room was a quick glass-elevator ride up. Great view of the Chinese-themed courtyard below. Key card is the tap kind, very easy to use if your hands are full. Light switches operate the can lighting, good enough to illuminate for entry. There's also multiple lamps, vanity lighting, bathroom with fan / light combo (I tested and good airflow), and both queen sized beds have their own lights as well as power outlets / LED charging ports. I loved the accent lighting over the headboards...it makes the colors of the LA-themed artwork over them stand out. Very IG worthy! There's an LCD flat panel TV on the wall opposite the beds, a desk, computer chair, armchair, and combo AC / heater on the window-side wall. There's a great view of downtown LA's skyline from the west side of the hotel. I could see the sunset and the sunrise. My only gripes with this place were the shower and the noise. Shower has a half-door so the rainfall head inevitably splashes some water over to near the door. I was careful and minimized movements so I kept most of the water inside...the clerk acknowledged this when I checked out the next day...she also apologized. No issues with the toilet flushing or drains working. Hot water took about 2 minutes to warm up, water pressure was decent. Liquid shampoo / conditioner dispensers, bar soap at the sink. Washcloths, hand towels, and body towels were abundant (at least 2 of each) and soft / good quality. As to the noise? I could hear when people walked by or talked loud / bumped into the wall. There were also city drivers revving their engines on Alpine / Hill street below occasionally and I could hear this sound through the window, even over the AC running. I anticipated this and brought some foam earplugs along...slept like a baby after that! (Have to do that at home in the city LOL, I recommend them.) Sheets were a little rough but smelled / looked clean. Beds made well, picture perfect. Pillows were plush, mattress firm but I slept well. AC was quiet and powerful. I paid less than $160 for my visit, booked directly from BW website, your rate may vary. I signed up for member and got cheaper rate. I got free breakfast with coffee eggs, potatoes, sausage, toast, etc. from the buffet. Checkout was at 11AM, very easy. They do put a $200 hold on your CC but they are up front about it. Not much different from other places I've stayed. I'd definitely recommend this place, super convenient and good value. Just hope they can get sliding doors on the showers or better drip channels in the future.

I found this Hotel at the last minute for a Birthday trip to Universal Studios. Initially, I was skeptical, but took a chance based off reviews. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised! The room was nice and clean with the exception of a few stains on the walls. I loved the hardwood floors and the fact the sink was located away from the toilet. The bathroom consisting of only a shower and toilet was very small, but decent so it worked. The shower has no door, so the floor got puddled with water easily. Mold may pose an issue in the future because the rooms gets hot and stuffy quick due to the shower. The front desk staff were very pleasant upon checkin and throughout my stay. I think $18.00 per night for parking was a bit much, I think it should’ve been $10.00 or even free, but hey, the nightly hotel rate was good. Breakfast was decent and the staff was sure to keep things tidy. A meat option other than pork would be nice. There is also a deposit of $200.00 held on your card upon check in. There is also a store located in the courtyard; however, people sits out there and smoke disgusting cigarettes, so be prepared for that. The location was convenient for the L.A. Zoo and Universal! Housekeeping did a nice job overall when providing service, though I do not believe the sink bowl was cleaned daily. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again. Oh, the room(s) could use a microwave.Rooms: Rooms were nice and clean upon initial arrival with the exception of a few stains on the walls. Oh and the room gets hot and stuffy quick!Nearby activities: Freeway accessible.Safety: Area seemed busy, but safe!

The hotel is located in the heart of LA's Chinatown and at $280 was the best priced room for its convenient location and Friday night time slot. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend this place to others looking for value. The one star reduction is for the recent remodel. While fun, tastefully decorated and overall good, there are good remodels and then there are remodels that feel like "lipstick on a pig". The devil is in the details. This is, admittedly, the nit that I pick having 30 years experience in construction and prior, working at a major hotel HQ.
