My recent visit to this Best Buy, driven by the intention to purchase a $1500 Surface Pro, ended up being a disheartening experience that steered me away from completing my purchase in-store. One primary advantage I sought in a brick-and-mortar experience was the ability to physically interact with the product. Given the Surface Pro's intended use in our nursery, it was crucial for me to assess its weight and ease of use with one hand. Regrettably, the atmosphere within the store, marred by continuously sounding security alarms, significantly detracted from the shopping environment. This chaotic backdrop, coupled with the store's policy restricting the handling of merchandise, not only made it impossible to test the product as needed but also cast customers in a suspect light, fostering a feeling of discomfort and unwelcome. Further exacerbating the situation was my encounter with an employee named Jeffrey, whose demeanor was far from the professional and helpful service one would expect. His dismissive attitude and willingness to engage in arguments with customers, including myself, amplified the already tense atmosphere, leaving me feeling undervalued and disregarded as a potential buyer. This culmination of negative experiences has led me to reevaluate the benefits of in-person shopping at Best Buy. Despite my initial preference for testing the product directly, the unwelcoming environment and the inability to freely explore the Surface Pro's features have prompted me to take my business to Amazon. The loss of a significant sale could have been avoided with a more accommodating and customer-centric approach. I share this feedback not out of spite but in hopes that Best Buy will consider it as a critical opportunity for improvement. The essence of retail, more so for significant investments like electronics, lies in not just the products offered but the experiences created. Ensuring customers feel respected, valued, and free to explore their interests without undue restriction is paramount. I hope future customers will find a more welcoming and helpful environment than the one I encountered. I will likely instead make my purchase @ Amazon, with my experience marred by this recent visit.

Store Manager Maurice was useless, rude and lacked tons of knowledge on his job. He wasted 1h of my time to tell me that since the mistake they made on my laptop was over 3 months ago there was no helping me on an over $800 price correction. He gave me wrong information that was verified to be false by their phone support agents while I was on the phone right in-front of him. He then got upset that he does not know the things he should as a store manager and walked off while I was speaking with him. Before walking away he denied me a temporary laptop and instead told me to buy another laptop while I wait for 2 weeks to 1 month for mine to be fixed. Not to mentioned I spent $2,512 on that laptop and had no more funds for an additional couple thousand dollar purchase while I waited. Also stating that if its not in "box" condition on return they wont accept it. So basically now I get scammed on 2 laptops. I had the delivery address of the repaired laptop updated to a best buy closer to me and they somehow got that wrong and now its going 1h 20min away from where I live. This whole experience was painful costly and unprofessional. Avoid this Best Buy like the plague.

We bought an LG Washer May 2023 replacing the similar machine. Within a month it started making very loud banging sounds during the spin cycle. We called repair and they came out, and attempted to repair it with a new part saying that if this did not work , they would have to replace the machine. With in a couple of weeks it was making the sound again. Michael (the repair man) said that we would have to call LG ourselves to get the new machine. When we called LG-- they sent us back to Bestbuy. The repair man came out again and this time he said that they should simply replace the machine but we would have to wait and reschedule so two men could bring the machine to stack it. That seemed reasonable but then we called to schedule this seven times and seven times they made us stay home all day and then canceled. SEVEN TIMES!!!!! Each time I asked why make appointments if you don't have the parts or replacement only to be assured that they did have them. We called to complain and they apologized and agreed how bad this was. They said that they would tell a supervisor and they would call back. Crickets. I have lost work and perhaps a client reserving whole days due to their awful twelve hour window that only goes to 4 hours the evening before scheduled and then cancellation on the morning day day of appointment. This gets distressing and disruptive to the extrem We have bought appliances from Best Buy for many years but--- never again!!!

I bought a car radio for my daughter birthday and set up installation the Pico location in west LA. I purposedly picked a radio that would be compatable with her car. On the day of installation the installer called her 3 hrs before her appointment to move her up because he "had plans". She hurried over as fast as she could . Once finished he did not take her through how to use the system. When she left half the functions didn't work and the telephone didn't work. She took it back he then said he didn't realize she had back speakers. What? How do you not check? He then tried to upgrade her to a more expensive model. She now has to go back for a third time. I called the store who wouldn't allow me to talk to a manager but would pass my number on for a call back. Three days later no call. Shame on you. Do not but stereos fron here!

Unacceptable Service and Disregard for Customer Satisfaction at Best Buy West LA I recently experienced a profoundly disappointing and frustrating situation at the Best Buy West LA store that compels me to share my ordeal. This experience not only highlights a significant lack of consistency in employee training but also a disturbing disregard for customer satisfaction from its management. My journey began with a promise from an employee named Jesus, who assured me that I could benefit from a 20% discount on a Logitech product by recycling an old accessory, alongside a price match with Amazon. This information motivated me to return home, retrieve an item for recycling, and brave an hour of traffic back to the store. Imagine my dismay when, upon my return, the shift manager, Danny, flatly refused to honor the discount or make a price adjustment, contradicting the initial advice and wasting hours of my time. Feeling wronged, I escalated the issue to Ivan Partida, the store manager, expecting a resolution that reflected Best Buy's commitment to customer service. To my disbelief, while Ivan acknowledged the miscommunication by promising to discipline the involved employee, he outright refused to rectify the situation for me, the aggrieved customer. This response is not only inadequate but also reflects a shocking indifference to customer experience and loyalty. What is the point of disciplining an employee if the misled customer is left without resolution? The management's unwillingness to make things right speaks volumes about the store's priorities, clearly placing bureaucratic procedure over customer satisfaction. This experience has not only eroded my trust in Best Buy but has also led me to question the integrity of its price match and recycling policies. To potential customers of Best Buy West LA: consider this a cautionary tale. It appears that promises made by employees can be swiftly undermined by their management, leaving you not only without support but with wasted time and effort. I am deeply disappointed and will be reconsidering my patronage of Best Buy. I had hoped for a solution that respected the inconvenience caused and upheld the values of customer service and integrity. Unfortunately, it seems those values are not prioritized at Best Buy West LA.

Don’t go here they cancelled my order because it was on sale. They held my order and then delayed it until it closed and refunded my order.

You can get there from Santa Monica by taking the subway, then the bus and walking a little like it was at my house (8 minutes) (there are also buses that pass very close, just that you have to pay attention to the times of their stops, approximately 30m away), it seemed to me a good place to find specific things, although if you compare prices with those on Amazon, some will be cheaper, others will not, it is relative if you decide to go there or not for something very specific that you need.

I just came in to buy two hard drives and immediately was greeted by one of the employees named “Sir Andrew.” No joke, easily the best customer service I’ve experienced in forever.Sir Andrew was super nice… literally walked me over to the product I came to buy… described them and the difference and where the value was… and then walked me over to a checkout counter and rang me up… all with positive energy and total efficiency. It was like I was at the Ritz Carlton. Incredible experience. Thank you, Sir Andrew.
