Disappointing Experience Opening an AccountI recently visited Bank of America with the intention of opening an account under an irrevocable living trust, but my experience left much to be desired. While the staff was polite, the lack of expertise in handling this type of account was evident. The lady who assisted me had to consult her manager, and I was informed that there was no one available who specializes in opening such accounts. For a renowned institution like Bank of America, this was quite surprising.I understand that opening an account under a living trust can be time-consuming, as my friend who works for BOA out of state informed me. However, whether due to time constraints or a genuine lack of expertise, this experience fell short of the professionalism I expect from a bank of Bank of America's caliber. In the end, I decided to take my business elsewhere and will be moving to Wells Fargo. It's unfortunate that this experience has led me to make this decision, as I had higher expectations for Bank of America.I hope this feedback prompts Bank of America to address these shortcomings and maintain the reputation of professionalism and expertise that its brand is known for.

On Monday August 28,2023 at 12:00, I went to cash a check at BOA at 333 Hope St. Upon my arrival the bank was empty with one customer being assisted. The representative who approached me would not assist me. The woman was standing in the middle of the bank not doing anything. I let her know I needed to cash a check , she told me no one was available to cash the check. There was one other person working but he was already assisting someone. The woman told me I would have to come back after 1:30 just to cash my check because no one was available to assist me. I asked if she could cash my check she told me No she does not have any register open to cash my check. I really became frustrated because I don't know if it's a racial thing or discrimination but I never had a problem before today cashing a check there. The woman was standing around doing nothing with no other customers to assist and refused to cash my check. The woman name is Evelyn Murillo . The woman was not friendly or very helpful at all. I don't understand how a person works in a bank but not there to help people cash their checks or get their money. That is Shameful

This branch is very nice and it's not super busy. I has a great experience working with Patty, who helped me work through an issue that nobody has been able to solve on the phone. I am subtracting one star because the manager there honestly made me uncomfortable because he seems like he hovers over his staff. He talked over her a few times in my presence which ultimately just make the conversation more confusing.

I was there today and the customer service is ridiculous! I asked to see a banker which they didn’t let me since they were busy so this lady manager answered my questions vaguely and gave me a number to call! Like they couldn’t help me myself! The bank was the emptiest bank I’ve seen. I called the number they gave me and it was wrong so they transferred me. The transfer number was also the wrong number and he transferred me again. Nobody literally knows what they are doing and my questions were simple. I tried calling the bank back where I just left and there were no people when I left, to let them know they totally screwed everything up and obviously I have gotten no answer when I have called like 10 times.

I went in to this Bank of America on hope st. to cash my work check & I'm pretty sure she was the manger there, she was an older lady but she had told me that they couldn’t cash my check because my ID has my middle name on it and work check did not. Every ID has our middle names on it & most check do not come with our middles name ? So I called the main branch to verify if this was a real thing or not & they had said that she lied & more than likely didn’t want to help me out because it would have been a hassle for her due to me not having an account with them. But my work check goes through their bank so I thought it would be an easy way to cash it . Fact of the matter is don’t go to this bank because you’ll be lied to & not helped.

This is more personal (not about banking) in 1976 I happened to be 13 and was in the cocktail lounge with my family at the Bonaventure hotel soon bound for LAX and back home to Seattle. It was night and I was taking in the modernism of my environment. I was in awe! Seattle was still a small town and I hoped for more modern skyscrapers every day. As the lounge revolved buildings lit with corporate signage came into view that was new to me and I was so impressed! corporate power! UCB (United California bank) and now (AON), Union bank, Crocker bank, Arco and Bank of America, One Wilshire and finally sitting at a 45-degree angle and standing alone was Security Pacific Bank The logo for SPB was a modern S it appeared black during the day which perfectly matched the vertically striped windows and at night when lit it equally matched the vertical white granite. At night the S could be seen for miles and when I would visit LA I always knew where it was. The logos since have ruined the essence of 333 Hope St. (Picture was in 1994) unfortunately the top of the picture showing the Security Pacific Bank logo may have been cut off.

An utterly incompetent, corrupt, and disrespectful organization that should have been bankrupt years ago. Do not invest your money or deal with these crooks.

Wow. They wouldn't even let me take a photo of my friend under the sculpture outside. Not to mention the amount of time I've spent the past six years filming there. Bunch of power tripping cro-magnons. Walked across the street to Chase and took lovely photos in front of their sculpture. Reminded me exactly why I bank with Chase and not B of A. What a bunch of cucks.
