I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ballard's Artwork Framing, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand my vision and helped me choose the perfect frame for my artwork, offering valuable insights along the way.
The selection of frames is impressive, with a variety of styles that cater to every taste. I appreciated their attention to detail and craftsmanship, ensuring that my piece was framed beautifully. The quality of the work is top-notch, and the finished product exceeded my expectations.
What stood out to me the most was the genuine care the team has for their customers and their art. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do, and that made all the difference.

TOTAL FAIL. DANGEROUS.
Came in to get experts to help protect our painting under glass. After paying $600 and waiting 6 weeks, the frame couldn’t even hold together for 6 hours hanging on my wall - not exaggerating. THANK GOD no kids or pets were passing by when it came crashing down.
The sad part is the owner blames everything from Indonesian forests to the gallery and has the audacity to expect us to pay to fix it.
Do yourself a favor and get your work done at literally any other framing store that has an ounce of integrity and won’t rob you and then endanger your family.

Best framework shop in Silverlake/ Echo Park!!! The staff is so friendly. Only place I’ll be going for framing from here on out. Thank you again for the frame brackets as well!

Very rude. Appointment only. Told us to wait OUTSIDE meanwhile a white lady was inside without an appointment and left to shop inside their store.ALSO they STEAL business from other longtime locally owned framing stores by putting THEIR photos on Google!!! Take your business elsewhere instead of these gentrifiers!

Look no further than the team at Ballard's for any framing needs- small or large. They handle it all! I needed some matte framework cut and they always go above and beyond to detail. I went to 2 other stores locally and they couldn't handle. Thank you Ballard for phenomenal service!

This place is very professional and everyone who works there is kind and interesting to talk to. They are very good at what they do and very friendly. With that said, the prices are very high, like way too high, and the turn around rate is slow. But, if you can afford it and have the time to spare, I definitely recommend it.

Grossly incompetent, poor customer service, very overpriced. They introduced other charges after the fact and I ended up with an extremely high bill from what I was originally quoted. Furthermore, I was not impressed by the final work. I have had a lot of experience getting pieces framed both in NYC and Los Angeles. I took a chance on Ballard's because they are in my community but I was sadly mistaken at their incompetence. I would not recommend that anyone who is serious about trying to get their artwork framed give them business.

I have gone here for years. Everyone is fantastic at their job and really wants your art to look absolutely beautiful. They take considerable time to help you find exactly what you want and what looks absolutely perfect with the art. They are innovative and thoughtful. They have framed so many treasured items for me and I will never go anywhere else.

Made an appointment a week in advance and had a great session with a very helpful employee who took me through the whole process, safely distanced and masked, with no other customers present in the store for covid safety. They showed me several different frame and matte samples to figure out what worked best with the stuff I needed framed, and they didn't get impatient when I was fussy and particular, and asked for other options. They paired this super precious collage print I had ordered online from my favorite artist with a very sleek and simple frame that drew attention to and centered the piece perfectly. They also found a wonderful, retro looking walnut (?) frame for these very old photos of my parents that were taken in the 70's. The final product looks like something you would find in your grandparents' house. Now I have a glorious piece of family history that can remain preserved long after they and I are gone. Altogether, it was a little on the pricey side, but they took such good care of these precious items, gave me a result that was even better than I expected, and I could not be more satisfied! The order took several weeks to finish, since they were pretty busy and backed up with orders due to the pandemic and supply delays, but it was still ready within the time frame they promised and it was 100% worth the wait AND the cost. They offer different options for the type of glass too--you can even spring for museum-grade glass that doesn't glare at all!--I went with the cheaper glass option and it still looks incredible. I will definitely be returning in the future knowing that I can trust them with invaluable pieces of artwork, and I recommend you do the same.

Christine is the most community-friendly, reasonably-priced and knowledgeable framer, around. I have dealt with other framers, and they were off the charts expensive, unreasonable and even arrogant, about it, but Ballard's and staff are the best.

They were very helpful. I needed a specific fabric for a project and the staff was quick to help me find what I needed. Overall they were friendly and provided exactly what was needed. Recommended!

This is a long overdue review! I am a complete art hoarder. Ballard's helped me frame one of my centerpiece above the mantle art prints way back in the before times (2018). It was such a collaborative, thoughtful process. I love finding the right art framers because it is a balance of drawing out the personality of the art and the owner. Like so many folks in quarantine, I am looking at my pile of "to be framed" artwork... I know it's time to make another Ballard's trip! I have some very special Hollywood memorabilia and I know Ballard's is the right place for it!
