Beware it has limited hours and when your train arrives it most likely won't be open. Workers are casual about being there to open at 8 but I found them to be helpful and the cars spotless.

Return was a dream (old reviews had me scared) GPS got us to the front of the station and a gate covered in a cloth lettered with RENTAL RETURN; as we approached the gate opened, a security guard directed us to the tunnel, and an attendant showed us a slot. The agent at the desk was extremely helpful both renting and returning. All that worry for. O thing! Five stars

A horror !It's easy to pay for the pre-reservation remotely but once you get there it's a different story! 4 hours of waiting at the station, impossible to retrieve the keys due to a card issue and no solutions given....The worst memory of our vacation. See you soon on UFC. It's not going to happen like that!

Weird setup but convenient that they have a location at union station. They have no signs marking the return- its behind an unmarked black security gate off of the Cesar Chaves entrance. The guy working there was super nice. You have to go down a weird back hallway (again, unmarked) to get to the station. Step up the signage guys jeez

Worst service ever from this location.I am customer who rents out every week and never had any problem but from this location I rented out two times and each time I had a problem.The manager and the staff just don’t know how to do there job and when you tell them they show the bad attitude.One time when I rented from this location have a tendency to take video of a car every time and as this location was not giving a best service I inspect myself and told them here is the scratch and dent and I trusted those people and I thought they might have put in the inspection report.At the time of returning, they accused me that I made a scratch on car I was like no way, I walked towards my car and saw the scratch and the scratch was in my video also(luckily) and they are telling me to point out the scratch at the time of picking up(which I did) but the staff didn’t report and the manager was telling me that I should have told them, which is there job at first time.Instead of accepting there mistake he was giving me a bad attitude.I am a loyal customer and I want to keep continue of the service Avis is providing but the staff is making me switch to other car rental service.I already filed a complaint about the guy but seems to be no action on him.Avis location- Union station, Los Angeles

Super experience. We got out reserved car in under 10 minutes. Employee was super friendly. Can totally recommend to rent here

Too many associates have a poor or bad attitude at this station, although a couple of staff members are professional. It's a shame that Aves corporate can't have a better control on their stations.

Allowed me to make a reservation at 5 and when arriving from my trip the place was closed at 5 which defeats the purpose of me even making a reservation. Very inconvenient

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Made reservation and went to pick up car, although they said they'd take my debit card, they refused so we decided to use my boyfriends. They ran his license and said it failed their screening but could not tell us why and they could not rent is a car. My parents had to come in from out of town to take care of it because I had to get my son from the airport that night. My parents had to rent the vehicle under their name and add us as drivers for an additional fee of almost $200 and when they ran my boyfriends license again it magically worked. We were told the car had to be returned clean and when we got to the car it was filthy. Chips in the door handles, boogers on the sun visors, stain seat and soda spills in the back cup holders, they said all they could do is have us go to another location and sit and wait to have it washed but I needed to get to the airport to get my son but didn't make it and had to make other arrangements for him, got to him the next day and had someone watch him for a couple hours so we could come back to our home to get some stuff for our trip and noticed the oil life on the car was st 6%. Stopped at Avis again and they said their is nothing that can be done today. Only options were to drive it and hope nothing happened and if it did it wouldn't be our problem (except being stranded with my son in the desert) or take it to a local shop that was already closed and have the oil changed or wait until the next day when they would "possibly" have another vehicle for us. Either way we weren't getting back to my son again for the night.This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental agency and I will NEVER use Avis or recommend them.

Didn't honor my reservation or offer an upgrade or downgrade due to "being out of cars". Arrived early and they still told us we had to modify our reservation which cost us extra and a lot of time

Worst or rather no customer service.I wanted to return the car, there are no signs showing the way. I asked a security employee, and he then pushed aside a yellow barrier and I had to drive into a dark, narrow underground car park.Then there was an employee downstairs that I had to give the key to and that was it. Also no signs to the exit, no help from the employee. I went up the ramp despite the signs prohibiting it...Never seen such a shabby station. Don't get there with luggage, it's a disaster.I have rented from Avis many times before but this time was just disappointing and probably the last time. Too bad.

Prepaid and booked a car online two weeks before pick up date. but we were told there was no available car when we arrived. We then called Avis customer service, the only thing they were willing to do at that situation was a refund which did not help. We carried two big luggages and looking for other ways to get a car ourselves. Terrible experience ever.

I was apprehensive because of the low stars but everything went smoothly for me. We got a RAV4 which was perfect for going up to Big Bear. It was new and clean. It was cheaper than every other rental company I checked including car share apps. Quick pick-up and return at Union Station. The only hiccup was that I didn't know I needed a physical card for the deposit so I had to go home and get one. I guess that's not a problem for most people but I hate carrying my cards. They'll be my go to next time I need a rental.
