Wanted to leave a review after 3 months of living here! I got nothing but good praise for this apartment complex/community. First and foremost everyone should understand this review is subjective but hope it helps with some decision making. Since moving here from Florida i have had no issues with my unit, building, or neighbors. I love that we are literally in the hills as far as location so the term “Nature Wash” is very real. You don’t have the loud city noises because of all the wildlife that is around which is a plus!!! You pay for what they provide which is quite a bit compared to my friends apartment owned by Avalon which is sad lol. We got 2 clubhouses, the store, amazing amenities etc! It’s literally the best bang for the buck as far as living amenities in LA that are included with the COL!Lastly I want to shoutout the staff at Ava! I make music and I stopped by their office to say hi and they are more like family than employees. They show empathy and understanding and are actually cool people, that actually care about the residents and take the time to listen to our needs and wants. Mind you it’s a a lot for one team to handle over 200+ people, but they do it with pride and a smile. Also they love to know about their residents and they enjoyed hearing my music which was dope! Also Denise is by far an amazing Sr. Community Consultant! She’s on top on her game and knows the ins and outs of the property and can literally troubleshoot any request or problem a resident may have! She’s awesome! So is her team!Highly recommend this place for living!

Amazing complex , happy to live here , feeling like I am on vacation, 2 swimming pools, 2 jacuzzi, 2 gyms, bbq zones , hiking to Hollywood sign and Wisdom tree, golf and basketball courts ? highly recommended

I asked the administration many times to talk to the neighbors, but nothing happens, I would like to terminate the lease, but I can't. Give me the contact where I can go, I wrote to the mail with a complaint, I went to the administration, I don't know how to be. What about neighbors who make noise every day, I don't know, help me solve this problem.

Hi everyone! We just moved in, but we had the most positive experience with agent Tomas Gonzalez! He accompanied us all the way, from the moment we entered the leasing center to the moment we checked in! He answered all our questions carefully and helped us if we had difficulties! Last and Final Update: “The Rumors are True!”Ultimately, this place ended up being a huge disappointment. What once was a helpful staff and vibrant community has become a husk of its former self. The leasing office is most to blame. They used Covid restrictions as an excuse to close the office and have kept it “by appointment” ever since, the former in quotes because they have no intention of providing you any service. There are a few good apples, but the majority are rotten; agentic, careless, and only there to serve Avalon Bay’s bottom line. A residency means very quickly confronting the reality of corporate rental properties and the nickel and diming that comes with it.

Wow, what an amazing experience I had getting ready to move into my new place, Gisselle was quick with responding and made me feel like there was no such thing as a dumb question!! I’m excited to start this new journey at Ava and I’m so happy I had Gisselle to guide me and help make a usually stressful process a easy peasy process!!

I’m currently reading up on a case where a female tenant was assaulted on property by male neighbors, and was evicted for usage of pepper spray in self defense. Meanwhile, the men who assaulted her were allowed to continue living on the property, and still appear to be living there. Property management seems shady.As nice as it looks, I will not be recommending this place to my fellow apartment seekers.

I had a nice time living here for the most part - the maintenance team is really great and always available for urgent needs. However, my move-out experience was terrible and all over the place. I was told I was supposed to be given my move-out documents two weeks prior to my move-out date and I never was. Then on the day I'm moving out, I'm told I was supposed to be given an option to do a Clean Sweep for the apartment, which I never received the form for (and the leasing agent confirmed that the form had not been sent to me), so she let me opt-in to the Clean Sweep in person. I was also told that they would specifically have maintenance call me and keep me in the loop in regards to any charges being taken off of my security deposit, since they never let me do a walk-through of my apartment with maintenance so that I could have a heads up on what I may be charged for. I never received a call after moving out, and now it's been almost two months and I still haven't even received my security deposit. I called Avalon Bay this morning to find out that more than 50% of my deposit is being taken away due to different charges, PLUS cleaning, because they don't have a record of me opting into the Clean Sweep!! I'm honestly so frustrated, it's like as soon as I was on my way out, the leasing office stopped caring at all about customer service, and their OWN policies in how the move-out process should go. If I had been given the chance to actually have maintenance do a walkthrough with me (as I was supposed to), I could've probably avoided a lot of these charges being taken off of my deposit. Very disappointed, and it's left a bad taste in my mouth for this apartment complex.
