I had an absolutely stellar experience working with Julio to design my engagement ring, from start to finish.
I initially reached out to Julio because I came across one of his original designs that I wanted to recreate for an engagement ring. I was not the most informed about jewelry and was pleasantly surprised when he gave me advice based on my desires and which stones would be the most durable and resilient after daily use. This selfless sharing of knowledge left a great impression on me, because prior to speaking with him about wanting an emerald ring, I was working with another jeweler to design a ring for me who never informed me that emeralds were soft and prone to damage. Therefore, between Julio’s obvious talent and creativity, deciding to work with him instead was a no-brainer.
Not only is Julio extremely knowledgeable, but he is also very great at listening to your desires and working with you to create the perfect design.
I am very grateful for his patience and understanding through out this process and I will jump at any chance to recommend Artisan LA to anyone in the future.
And of course…I ADORE my ring. I have never seen an engagement ring like it before and I am mesmerized every time I look at it. THANK YOU!

The experience of designing a ring with you for our 20th anniversary was such a pleasure. From start to finish. We learned so much about gems and metals. Having a ring designed by an actual gemologist was fascinating. The selection of stones was fabulous. After a few meetings on zoom we had designed a ring that was even better than I imagined. I was set up with a 3D version of the ring first to make sure the size and fit was okay. A few weeks later I had our ring. I can’t stop admiring it and it’s one of a kind! My new ring makes me so happy.
I would absolutely recommend Artisan LA jewelry. I was able to shop locally, trade in jewelry that I no longer wore for a fair price and leave with a perfect ring to commemorate our 20th anniversary. Now for our next project…

I came in here engagement ring shopping with my fiancé and we had a fantastic experience. There was a great variety and selection and we found a few wonderful options. Months later I brought in a wedding band and engagement ring to sell that was gifted by my fiancé s mother to sell and put towards our wedding. They offered a great price. My desire to write this review really came from how friendly and educated they were. It truly felt like they were happy to be there, happy to chat, and happy to answer any questions. Genuine friendly people.

My husband and I came in 4 years ago and felt extremely at ease with Julio. He didn’t try to upsell us and genuinely guided us through the processes actually telling us to look around and take pictures of pieces we liked from other jewelers so we can get a better idea of how to customize my ring. Once we had a blueprint of the design etc, he mocked up a 3-D printed ring and set the stone we selected so we’d be satisfied with the outcome. It was so great and I loved it so much I never even bothered getting a wedding band. Thanks a ton Julio!

Can’t say enough good things about the quality, curation, and customer service at Artisan LA. It’s the only place I buy, customize and repair my fine jewelry and I recommend Julio’s work to everyone when I get stopped or asked for recs. Can’t miss!

If you are looking for an engagement ring or bands, the team at Artisan LA is wonderful. Everyone had a great attitude through the whole process, they let us come in to talk and see the ring as many times as we needed it, always with a smile on their face. Not only they are great as people, but they also have a beautiful collection of rings. We went to 6 jewelry stores in LA and we ended up deciding on the beautiful vintage ring we found at Artisan LA. It was the first ring my fiancee tried and nothing we saw around compared to the uniqueness of the piece. Their price was also reasonable. Thank you again, Julio, Doug, and Alessandra!

We had a very precious stone that has been in my family for decades, and Julio and Doug welcomed working with the outside stone without question (many jewelers don't do this!). We made a fully custom design, with computer renderings and 3D prints provided all along to ensure that the design was absolutely perfect before it went into production. The process was so easy and it was a pleasure working creatively with them - and speedy! They were also extremely accommodating with us not wanting to part with the stone at any point before it was set; they measured it while we were there, gave it back, then sent us to the setter ourselves after the ring was made so we can see the process, and we brought it back for a final polish at Artisan. I wouldn't change a single thing about any of the process or the final result. Highly, highly recommended, and we can't wait to go back to them for our wedding bands. Thanks so much guys!

He listened to my ideas, contributed insights and ideas of his own, and was super patient while I requested little adjustments to get to the perfect ring. He provided screenshots of the digital rendering throughout the process, and even made some simpler adjustments real-time in the shop. He also 3D printed a few versions of the ring for us to consider, which was a massive help. I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else for a custom piece and couldn’t recommend anyone more. Julio is the absolute best. I met him years ago, filming a segment with him about custom-made jewelry. He has been my go-to jeweler ever since, and I’ve sent multiple friends his way for engagement rings or anything else they need. Simply, ArtisanLA does not feel like going into other jewelers. It feels like having a friendly conversation with a true craftsman.
