I have been going to Ark Animal hospital for years and they've always been accommodating with low and fair pricing. I recently went there in January 2024 and my dog had an inner ear infection. My dog was seen and was given ear drops there and I brought them home too to administer them for the next week, all for $120 out the door. Today, my dog had an inner ear infection again (same type) so I walked in to see about getting him checked out. I was told there were new owners and new policies in place. I was also told I had to pay for my exam before seeing a vet so I handed over my credit card and was told I would be charged a 3% fee. I then asked if I could be charged at the end so I don't have to pay 6% extra for the CC fees, just 3%. I was told no and that it was policy so I paid and waited to see the vet. I finally saw the vet who told me it seemed he had an ear infection and that she was going to give him drops there and that she wanted to see me back there in 2 weeks. Funny thing is she hadn't even looked at my dog's ears when she said that which I thought was kinda weird. The vet left the room and a nurse came in to give me the bill for the treatment, which came out to $200 including the $41 I already paid for the exam fee. On top of this I was expected to return in 2 weeks for an additional $40 exam fee. I told them I had paid significantly less just 9 months ago and that we could do away with the ear cleaning on the bill as I had just done that myself before coming to the office. They insisted and wouldn't work with me so I left. I guess the new owners have jacked up their pricing as I paid $120 in January for the same service that would of cost me ~$240 today. They're more than welcome to charge higher prices but I won't be returning as a customer.

I had the worst experience of Ark animal Hospital I own a cat she’s only one and a half years old. I wanted to bring her in there to have her ears exam. I was forced to pay the exam fee before even seeing the vet. When they came out to take my cat in for the exam, I was told I could not come in the examine area with her. Two minutes after they returned my cat and told me that my can’t move too much they cannot examine her ears. They told me to come back tomorrow to have my cat sedated in order for them to examine her ears. I said this is unheard of my cat is the nicest cat she will cooperate checking her ears is an easy task. Obviously, the staff doesn’t know how to handle animals. I took my cat to another facility which they did not charge me any exam fee, and they were able to see my cat ears within a minute using preliminary tool, and a black light. The other facility know how to handle animals, and they give care and comfort to the animals. I asked the office manager for my money back, because Services was not rendered. The office manager told me she cannot give any refunds because a lot of the customers don’t want to pay. How can we pay for services that we did not rendered? I was able to go to the Humane Society and got my cat vaccine dewormed & chipped for $85. Whoever owns a pet, I highly advise to go to Humain Society for any of the cats and dogs needing vaccination$25 dewormer$20 chipping $25 neuter or spayed $75 for a lot less cheaper.

I took my dog to this hospital on Saturday so the doctor would have told me that he was no longer fighting but they charged me more than 780 dollars and the next day he died, he got worse with the medicine or she would have told me and put him to sleep better, they just wanted the money

They were so accommodating! The doctor followed up days later to check on my pup, which was much appreciated! I can say more, but my thumb hurts! For real!

NOT STAR! This place is horrible! I used to come here 7-8 yrs ago when it was Arc and yes, we are living in post Covid world, but you'd think when someone takes over an establishment/business that had a decent reputation, they would try to keep of its remnants would remain! NOT THIS PLACE! FYl...Doctor Hernandez saw the kittens.
I called about 2-3 weeks ago to get an estimate on kittens that had had trapped. First day of my phone conversation was with Lucy. I called the office twice and spoke both times w/her. A week later I called to ask another procedural question and Summer picked up. I made these three calls to walk into the place without being blindsided. Since the price seemed reasonable and they were able to answer questions, I made an appointment for two kittens for Sept 17. When I made the appointment, not once it was mentioned that they take CASH and if you opt to pay w/credit card, you have to pay 3% fee! My sister took the kittens in, and what they quoted me became unreasonably inflated! They insisted on changing 2 x $18 for cones. My sister kept telling them no need & for all the additional stuff they piled on! So basically we could've taken the kittens to an our own vet in Culver City near our home and be charged less! I don't have the invoice in front of me but they charged us almost $1300 - and part of it was that 3% fee for using a debit card or CC. When my sister objected to the fee, they showed her the sign! Well... that isn't good enough because when you call the place and you talk to the office staff about cost of spay, you'd think they would say: OH BY THE WAY, BRING TONS OF CASH WITH YOU CUZ WE DO NOT TAKE DEBIT or CCs!
My sister told them not to put one of the kittens had experienced trauma being stuck in hockey net before my trapping her. The owner of the house across from me was out of town and when he returned, he saw a kitten stuck in the net, and from his surveillance recording she was stuck for 3-days! But they chose to put the damn cone on and the kitten was going bonkers!
Lastly, they forgot to give my sister the medication that they had charged us for the kittens! My sister being shocked by forking out so much money and dealing w/ two cranky kittens only realized the meds were missing when she came home! Also, while in the office, she asked for printout of negative FeLV & FIV results. They couldn't print it for her and insisted they will send it via email. Still no email!
Times are tough and those of us who care about animals try to find places that are honest! This place is t honest and they have no moral fiber! I will post this review on Google as well!

Terrible business. They had me come down to their office and just wasted my time and money.

TRASHHHHH! RACIST! They will wasted your time!!!!!!!!!!
I CALLED BEFORE I CAME and got refused service. I saw all the Hispanic folks were serviced, I’m a young black girl for context. They said they could service me over the phone but when I came in person, they refused to help my dog.
NO CONSIDERATION FOR CUSTOMER. NO CONSIDERATION FOR MY TIME. NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE MONEY IT COST ME ON TRANSPORTATION.

I rescued a stray dog last night and took him here in the morning today. I had a feeling the wait would be long so i wasn't surprised when it was. The receptionists were nice, but the vet tech was HORRIBLE. I almost never write reviews especially not negative ones, but I really want to warn people not to bring your dog here. It took me three hours to slowly built trust with this stray dog and save him, he has obviously been abused and was terrified and shaking. The vet tech was loud, impatient, and cruel. He hit the dog on the back with his clipboard, raised his voice, and aggressively yanked on his leash to get him on the scale to be weighed. Honestly, it was abusive behavior. There was not an ounce of emotional intelligence or empathy for the animal. I was horrified and will never take an animal back there. How could they hire someone like that??

I’ve been bringing my dogs here for years but today, I waited 6 hours and counting. I only waited this long because my dog had a very expensive urinary stones surgery here and I needed to see if the current issue was related. They used to be walk-in only but with new management and new staff it is now appointment and walk-in. I suggest “not walking in” unless it’s urgent and you will still wait. They do not value the time you wait or try to fit you in. If you have to walk in come in the afternoon. Also make sure you absolutely need all of the recommended services or you may pay for things you may not need. They get one star because they do care for the pets.

I have over 700 reviews, I am a local guide, and a real person. With a real pet, ***Pet owners beware, not a trusted animal clinic, to many people including my self have to many problems with staff and over all care, do not come here stay away, do not have your pet looked after especially for surgery, run away! This is not the place for survival services, no way. Dirty, filthy, disgusting place.

A very reasonably priced local vet. However, they're incredibly busy because they cater to folks who generally can't afford more expensive vets.
You should generally expect your waiting time to be between one and two hours.
