AlCantor Automotive is one of the best and honest automotive shops you will find in the San Fernando Valley , we have been going to this company and owners for over 30 years you will not find better guys in this industry. Unfortunately, I moved quite a bit aways from them so I don't go down as much as we used to, but my son does use them all the time they are great guys they know their stuff and they're honest if you want your work done right and not get screwed over like most other places do this is the place you want to go

Took my transfer case here for a rebuilt and to install SYE kit for my Jeep. I also got a custom drive shaft built. I normally do all my work myself but since I have multiple projects going at a time and the price was fair i was able to save some time by paying for it. I installed my transfer case and new drive shaft. After two short trips I experienced severe driveline wobble followed by a blown up transfer case and my new drive shaft broken along with very a expensive tow. About $3,000 down the trash. I called and explained the situation and did not accuse them of anything but asked possibly if I would be able to get a small discount if I were to go with them again and buy a new drive shaft. The guy was very rude and said how can I blame them. First of all I didn't blame him but just brought to his attention what happened to me. As a mechanic I clearly can see what happened and pictures speak for themselves. Although I can't prove It was their bad workmanship. This picture will explain what happened. Transfer case rear yoke was not torque to spec. The yoke shaft nut backed off completely and threw the drive shaft which caused the transfer case to get wacked and explode.

I started bringing my cars to Alcantar about 20 years ago. I have done the mistake to go Other places to save money. But I would always end up coming back to Alcantar. Ismael and Mario are honest as they come to mechanics. They are up front and honest and I appreciate that. Now I bring all my cars here and have referred many of my family and friends. They thank me for referring them here. I used to go other places to save a dollar or two, but that turned out to be more expensive because they would do it right. I will never make that mistake again. I get my vehicles serviced every 3k miles and there is no other place I trust my cars with them Alcantar. BTW, I'm actually sitting here now at the shop as they are working on my car and enjoying some coffee and donuts.

Honest and affordable. Glad to bring them return business after 5 years living outside of LA and nothing has changed. I now live almost an hour away but they get any jobs that I know will be bigger even with the inconvenience.

Alesandro and his dad Felipe have always done great work for me. Very reasonable prices. Transmission rebuild and rear diff done over the last 2 years. No problems with either so far. Will continue to keep going here for years.

great service. covid friendly. and they totally helped me and walked me through the process for my busted drivetrain. it was ready in 24 hrs despite their busy schedule. i definitely recommend alcantar's for any 4x4 help and consultation as well.

Company is unorganized and has very poor workmanship, gave them $800 to install 2 new axles , bearings and seals . Also to straighten the housing of the rear end , got it back after weeks and weeks and waiting almost 2 hours for them to finish on the day it was promised , still bent and the new axle on the passenger side is wrong , little help over the phone..suppose to remove the eear end and give them another chance ..Yeah right!! You got me ...enjoy my 800 bucks!!

Took my old Hyundai here a while back to get the basic headlights changed and they charged me $50 (!!!) which according to them, came with a "routine service" then I go home and my headlights were not even touched. They were still out! And my fluids weren't even changed! My dad took his Camaro here to get an oil change then it was leaking oil a few days later so we took it back and they tightened the screw and stripped it! So when we took it to Jiffy Lube to get the oil change they didn't even wanna touch it! They said the screw was too badly stripped and damaged by these guys!!! These people do a sloppy job avoid avoid avoid!!!

These wannabe called mechanics are horrible at customer service they will lie to you changing prices over charging you. My wife was humiliated by the 2 older mechanics, if you're a woman be prepare to be lusted on by these perverted sick individuals.

I drove in after work, expecting to come back tomorrow. But, they told me that they could handle my tune-up and oil change today! They were fast, their shop is clean and they're extremely friendly. I'll definitely come to them for all my automotive repair needs! I would definitely recommend D&R Automotive to anyone!
