I was really happy with their service and flexibility. I went in after walking out of my regular vet because the bill was too high and they would not give me any alternative options. After paying crazy amounts in vet bills for various situations in the past few months I was starting to feel financially manipulated by vets so I shopped around a bit and echo park gave me a rough estimate over the phone and was very flexible in person. I went in twice for follow ups which I might have been afraid to do somewhere else. Very grateful for them accommodating me and my kitty!
*Its a small office with limited patients per day, so call ahead*

I cannot recommend Echo Park Veterinary Hospital enough for their exceptional care of my elderly French bulldog. They have consistently gone above and beyond, always accommodating last-minute walk-ins and even staying late to ensure we received the care we needed. Their pragmatic approach has been a perfect match for us, and I’ve always felt like my dog was in the best hands.
They’ve been great at re-examining situations when an issue persists, showing that they’re dedicated to getting things right. The staff is incredibly friendly and supportive, and it means so much that they know me and my dog by name. Every visit feels personal, and I always leave feeling confident that we’re in the right place. If you’re looking for a veterinary hospital that’s reliable, thorough, and caring, I highly recommend Echo Park Veterinary Hospital. They’ve truly been a lifesaver for us!

I came here a couple months ago and I would never go back. Within the first 5mins of conversation with the vet she brought up euthanasia for my cat because he had a urinary blockage. Then they proceeded to charge me $3000 for a surgery I couldn't afford while being sure to add that it might not be enough. The vet and her nurses were lacking in care, compassion, or consideration for me or my cat which made everything feel very transactional. I didn't love it but I would've been fine with that had I felt they were doing a good job, but Im very sure I was just being shaken for coin. The vet wouldn't stop saying that the blockage was likely to come back and that the surgery was the only viable option. I ended up paying $300 for a drainage and then had to continually ask questions to get a full understanding of my cat's status and what drugs they gave him, what drugs to administer, and in what way, etc. Had I not asked I would've never known they gave my cat opioids. They were very vague and uninformative overall. I had to pry for any and every detail and I would NOT recommend that anyone come here for service if you can manage. I will say that the drainage helped tremendously but that the vet was not keen on that being the only treatment. 0/5 stars. I'm certain there are better options available. Find someone who actually cares about the livelihood of you and your pet.

I really like this veterinary hospital. I had to wait a little longer than I had hoped because they were still in surgery which they perform in the afternoons so be aware of this when planning to go in. It wasn't overly crowded it was competitively priced and the doctor was very good and caring. I used to be with Gateway and I'm very glad I changed. I highly recommend this veterinary service

I would rate a5 but they changed the offer that got me there and charge a first time check fee now, which I wasn't expecting in addition to my $550 for the other services and meds.

Originally went to VCA hospital in Glendale bc my dog has been having episodes of diarrhea ,vomiting , no appetite for the past 3 weeks. According to the ultra sound they said they needed to do surgery for a lieus. (Blockage in intestine) And list went on $$$. They couldn’t even give me the test results I asked for. I felt so taken advantage of. I came to echo park vet hospital to get a 2nd opinion . They did an X-ray and Dr. Polk confirm they was no blockage and did not need surgery at all. And was sent home with just prescribed meds and food. She’s is very kind and knowledgeable and cares about your pet . Quality of care and professionalism. My dog is doing so much better. No vomiting , energy level coming back and starting to eat again . I’m so happy.

Horrible I called for appointment and the front desk Diana was rude and I asked her for time frames and she said she will take her lunch at 12 and will return at 1 and still does not know time frames of availability . Bad costumer service and very unprofessional

Great attention to what your pet needs. Good doctors. I trust them with surgery for my cat and they healed my cat’s infected tooth. Wait time can be tedious if you don’t have a reservation so I recommend making one. Waiting space is good but could be cleaner sometimes and very cold, so bring a sweater if you’re going to be waiting.

Can't thank the staff enough. Called a couple of places on a Sunday morning and they were the only ones available to take us in. The attention and care they gave my cat was amazing. This was my first time taking my cat for a medical emergency and prices were better than other places I had called.

Some of the nicest, most competent, animal loving people around. If you have a dog with issues, they are welcoming and adept at dealing with any issue. The vets and vet techs are caring and knowledgeable. It’s also great if you don’t have an appt., you can stop in and wait (the wait varies greatly depending on how busy they are) but after trying to get in to my dog’s primary vet and being told he couldn’t be seen until the following day) I went to Echo Park, waited 49 minutes and received excellent care.

Dr. David Przekop has been my vet for about 30 years, although it was not the same location. He has treated all my pets for that long. (I used to do adoptions) I trust him on the care and procedures he recommends for my pets and always things come out OK. I do not see other vets there, so I don't have an opinion of the other vets. What I do not like about that place is that they seldom answer the phone. Sometimes it has been closed, and there is no sign at the door that they are close for that day for whatever reason. What makes it worse, is that you see people inside, and outside it is a line of people waiting for them to open. Now they take appointments but there is no announcement what days and which vet. Is on you to find out all that when you get there and be told that unless you have an appointment you will be seen by that particular vet. The worst part was that when I finally got an appointment, they made for 5pm and they close at 6pm ????????. My cat needed anesthesia. Can they do a procedure of such caliber in an hour? The last stroke was when I was asked if I have an idea about how much was going to pay if I decided to take the appointment????? AND YES, THE PLACE IS VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT SO ARE OTHER PLACES. WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF THE CORPORATION THAT RUN THESE BUSINESS. I GO THERE BECAUSE DR. PRZEKOP IS MY PETS' VETERINARIAN AND I TRUST HIM.

I started taking my dog here last year because he was having allergies. He needed an allergy shot. When he gets allergy shots, he's usually good for a few months. Took him here, got his shot and everything was good. It's been months since he needs an allergy shot. They previously told me with his last shot that I would not need to pay an exam fee if I'm just coming in to get his allergy shot. I was like great I can save 70 bucks. Went today, it's an hour drive, walked in and said I needed his allergy shot. The receptionist goes back to the doctor and the doctor told her that he needs to have an exam because he told me that the allergy shot was supposed to be given every 3 to 4 weeks, I was never told that or I would not have wasted my time going back. She then tells me that the doctor would give him a $200 allergy shot without out of that visit but the $70 allergy shot he would need to have a vet visit for. So I told her oh, the 200.00 allergy shot does not have to be every 3 to 4 weeks? She tells me no it does have to be every 3 to 4 weeks. So he wouldn't give me the $70 allergy shot without the vet visit but he would give me the $200 allergy shot without paying a vet visit. Does not make sense and she didn't try to make it make sense because she honestly looked confused at what the doctor said. The doctor didn't even tell me this himself. Point that when I catch people and lies in business, I won't Go back. So if you're looking for an honest vet, this place wouldn't be it. The people that work at the front desk are wonderful and I'm really shocked what happened here today. The doctors need to do better. You all don't need to waste time responding and trying to make yourself look right after what happened today comment because I gave you the opportunity to fix it in the office and you didn't
