If it's possible to give zero Stars I would . Over the last 15 years I have gone to multiple 99 Cent Stores throughout the Los Angeles County area . When I first came here to this one on the 6100 block of Wilshire I honestly thought that I had found a real Oasis. It's a big store with all the vegetables and fruit . And though I do go to different 99 Cent Stores because I have a job that has me traveling in my car a lot I do try to make it to the ones that I favor . Until Friday this one was on my list but not anymore . After hunting about looking for a few things and honestly not finding that many people on the floor at that time I gathered my things and went to the cashier . As I'm chatting with the cashier the line is growing but she's going at a good pace , until her boss comes up to her and starts asking her questions around her work that we're kind of inappropriate to be asked around other people . It flustered her and I can understand that because she was focused on me and her line and he's asking her ridiculous questions around her scheduling and that kind of stuff it was irritating . She let him know that it was irritating and a bad timing for it and he became argumentative and actually raised his voice at her . This is when I got involved and let him know number one as a customer I don't want to ever see that again and as a human being I better not see it again . He interrupted her two more times after I asked him to leave her alone and keep in mind that there was a line for me and she needed to focus on that . He actually told me in the middle of what I was saying to him that he needed to finish his topic . That was when I heard giggles out of the folks in line behind me . And one gasp . I told him that in the best circumstances of customer service he would never say that to anyone . He would allow them to finish their point and then make his . I had not completed my point and I expected him to show some patience for the less than 60 Seconds that it would take to actually hear what I had to say . That's when he gave me the evilest I I have ever received . That is also when I told him that I was going to be calling corporate and his face broke a little . There were many reasons why this particular circumstance bothered me and felt completely out of balance . I've had too many decades in customer service to take that kind of ridiculously horrid behavior from anyone and frankly if I were that employee who was being treated that way by him and another employee who decided to get in on asking her a million questions while she's working on her line , I would be naming them all in a harassment suit. I'm sending this note to corporate. There are way too many 99 Cent Stores out in the world to have to take b******* Behavior from people who are obviously angry about having to work or just angry . Whatever his issue was it seemed to be related to black women because the cashier was a black woman I am a black woman and what started him acting badly was another black woman . She watched the whole thing transpire as well . He needs a very long vacation or perhaps to work at another store where the Multicultural nature of it will be less frustrating for him .

I’ve never done it, but I understand it is definitely possible to live on three or $400 a month for groceries. At this place it’s possible. There’s two of them in within walking distance, and occasionally go in, but the bargains are extraordinary, and I highly recommend the 99 Cents store if you are a budget conscious!

I loved coming to this store but unfortunately today my point of view changed. A lot of disorganization, and they take time to serve the customer. For example, today I was waiting in line with other people for a long time. Besides, the cashier was answering and on the phone. What is missing… It is very important to take into account the service that is being provided to clients. If you see that there are lines, it is very important that the staff get ready to attend as soon as possible. Time is valuable time for everyone.

Things are already very expensive, you can't find anything for .99 anymore and all the vegetables are very ugly and very mistreated, it's meant to be bought and used that same day and it doesn't last long in good condition. There are no more specials in the refrigerators.
