Smythe & Cross us a great addition to the Los Altos shopping community. They carry a variety of different products, all at reason prices. The staff is knowledgable, and very helpful. This is your go-to store for fine jewelry. Smythe &Cross is a big supporter of Los Altos. They usually donate a nice item for the Los Altos History Museum's silent auction. Thank you,

Excellent service and experience. I brought my Burberry watch to have the batteries serviced and when my boyfriend went to pick it up their credit card machine was down and they just told him it was on the house.

Where to start? I have known and trusted Smythe and Cross for years but today they took things to the next level! With their help, we ordered two custom, ruby bands. After waiting for a a few weeks, they arrived and Pamela called and let me know to swing by...but that she had some concerns! I got there and sure enough two beautiful bands, just as I wanted, had been made and arrived. However, upon closer inspection and with Pamela's help, I was made aware of an ever-so-slight color difference between the two bands. After consulting with her, we agreed to refuse these bands (despite being custom made for me) since they simply did not meet her standards! This is exactly why I trust her (and Katchig)...I know they have my back, want me to have/get what I want, and it has to be just right. They are going to deal with the folks who made the custom ring on my behalf and make sure I am happy...in other words, she knows that today's sale is not as important as my long-term happiness (and she cares because it reflects on them too, right?)...that is why I trust them and will continue to give them my business. Love, appreciate and trust the work they do over and over....

This is a great little jewelry store in Los Altos. I had the pleasure of working with Khatchig to reset my engagement ring stones and purchase a new wedding band after I damaged both in an accident. He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to work with, and I am so happy with the new ring set! Thanks Khatchig!

Had a great experience shopping for the perfect wedding set that fit my style and budget. Khatchig took the time to find me a high quality center stone and setting to match. I had lost my original set and was having a difficult time settling on a replacement. Thankfully his concierge like approach and eye for classic quality made the process go very smoothly. So happy with my purchase. Thank you Khatchig and the Smythe & Cross team!!

I asked to have a unique ring made to mark a sad life passage during SIP. Not I my did they deliver with compassion, but went above and beyond in making sure I got it in time despite store closure and everything else going on. I am so grateful for the role they played in making this special time in my family's life. Thank you so much!

Due to prescribed medications, my joints are often sore and swollen. Several months ago, I had to remove all my rings for x-rays, including my wedding set and pre-engagement band which had to be cut off.

Due to prescribed medications, my joints are often sore and swollen. Several months ago, I had to remove all my rings for x-rays, including my wedding set and pre-engagement band which had to be cut off.Smyth & Cross was recommended by a friend to repair my rings. My husband and I walked into the store and were warmly greeted. Annie approached us and invited us to sit. I was feeling a bit emotional about my rings, but she put my fears to rest. I showed her the rings and that they would need sizing, and the one repaired. She took her time to look at each piece, noting that one of the settings looked like it was bent. Annie wrote up each repair request carefully and thoroughly. Within a few days I received a call with the repair costs. It was very reasonable. The goldsmith even checked each setting and recommended that all stones be reset. With our approval, the rings were repaired and in within days they were ready for pickup. My rings are beautiful. There are no visible marks for the sizing and no evidence that the one band was even cut. I'm happily wearing both rings every day. Annie was both personable and professional. I highly recommend Smythe & Cross and Annie.

I bough a few pieces from when the store used to be gleam, and worked with one of their old employees. I had a simple evil eye necklace with diamonds and a ruby in the midddle which I wanted to change into a bracelet. I was pursueded to trade in my existing 18k gold chain and pick a single different chain and trade it in. Just putting a new chain which had been traded in at 18k, when I pick up the finished chain, it was pot on a fake gold chain which another jeweler confirmedz. I went back and the owner took over. I had to choose another chain to be put on 18k and he charged me another $200. That's $545 for a tiny chain for my tiny diamond evil eye. Total rip off from the start of negotiation to the end product. St they cut both chains, kept the gold from those, and traded my own 18k beautiful chain for a small half chain to make my evil eye into a bracelet. I mean seriously after giving me fake gold, he the charged more to give me the real deal. I know jewelery well. When I went to pick up piece the lady who had originally helped me, older woman totally ignored me when I came back into the store. Perhaps she was too embarrassed by the fake gold chain that she had traded in for my 18k chain. Be careful they can pull a quick one over you, always check your gold. To pay for a fake gold chain to be cut in half where they keep the rest of the chain and my gold chain from the necklace that I was trading in for make it into a bracelet was $345, then when I got it back it was fake gold, then I had to choose a different chain and was charged 200. So total $545, this is an absolute rip off, dishonest and I am no mug when it comes to jewelery. I felt like they were pulling something over me and I had no control. I will NEVER give them and more of my business or recommend them to anyone looking for a jeweler.
