Pharmacist denied Paxlovid saying come back in three days. When I came back the fill was denied due to being too late. She then said she thought it had been sent to another pharmacy at the same time. Not even an apology. Cost me $100 to get the script re-written. Lots of other good pharmacy options in the area, thankfully - look elsewhere.

The employee was very courteous, helpful and I didn't have to wait very long at all. Definitely satisfied with this pharmacy and I will tell everyone about it!

Had an appointment for a vaccine. Despite showing an email confirmation, they said I didn't have an appointment. So had to fill out the paperwork again. Rather than five minutes, now it's been 45 minutes and I'm still waiting. Only one person working who clearly needs help. Apparently their computer system is messed up on appointments and his response was "not my job". Really?

It's hit or miss for getting vaccines here. Did you know theres a nice room at the back of Safeway for injections? Between the pharmacy counter and wine cave, there's a wooden door with frosted glass that looks out of place in a grocery store, but it's easy to miss. There's no sign, and it looks like a doctors office. But before you get into the wood paneling and carpet, you have to check in at the pharmacy. The people checking us in could have been nicer. For both of our appointments last week we've had less than friendly service. Two different people, both kind of rude? I would call that culture. The wood paneled waiting room was pleasant enough. Then came the shot. Painless and professional. I was impressed with a Safeway employee qualified to give shots. Well, it turns out she was a contractor pharmacist. She'll probably never rotate here again. The next time, we got a different shot giver. Very unprofessional. I won't go into details, he won't rotate back either. But let's just say the quality here is very inconsistent. The wait also varied. Morning appointments have no wait. The second time, however, they were running 30 minutes late for our afternoon appointment time. Still, better than an appointment at Levi stadium... A big plus is Safeway/Albertsons has a great website. I was able to schedule online, easy. The appointment confirmation had a link for us to schedule our second dose. Again easy. And, if anyone cares, this week they were offering the Pfizer.

The manager here needs to be removed or investigated immediately. I am one of two young women who were harassed and treated like criminals just now for being in the store bathroom. Greeted with an aggressive bang on the door and "you need to get out right now", my friend and I were using the facilities to change our clothes and rinse our faces after a long, exhausting night traveling. We are careful to be kind to all people we encounter, so being treated this way was a shock. The manager and four other "men" surrounded us and watched as they forced us empty our bags(mine filled with thongs and other personal woman items, that BELONG TO ME). Please do something Safeway, this will not be the last you hear from me. He specifically mentioned that he wasn't ashamed or embarrassed about how he was treating us, despite clearly being wrong. It was an interesting experience to be treated like a criminal having never stolen a thing in my life, so thank you for showing me how you would treat a person who may be stealing(food?). This manager and every pathetic boy overseeing this decision need God in their lives.

Not sure if the workers here are aware of COVID-19 or the manager for that matter but today as soon as the store opened I witnessed a young man in produce eating a pastry and drinking Starbucks while arranging the tomatoes. Mask hanging off his face, eating and drinking, touching the produce then eating again. Not a care in world .... the manager was no where to be found so I was unable to let them know. I'm sure they have a break room? Completely unsanitary and disgusting. Do better Safeway.

Community of Los Altos and Mountain View. If I can I would give zero stars to this store for the management. I have a dear living family member currently working there and it broke my heart to hear they are not supplying mask for ALL employees who ARE ESSENTIAL WORKERS!!!!!!! I came to find out that they gave them one cloth mask and they made them rewash it and use it daily same one. NOW let me tell YOU. The cloth was a RIPPED T-SHIRT that was SEE-THROUGH and oh my lord I couldn't believe that the managers gave this one t-shirt cloth to wear for 3-5 months. This is disgusting. They should not be treating workers this way. Please be kind and donate if you can to these essential workers who NEED MASK. Doesn't have to be the fancy N-25 ones but they do deserve a DECENT MASK for they all have to work while we do not work.

The manager Jose and his team are doing a fantastic job during these hard times - he and the team always greet me with a smile and a "hello what can we help you find?" Their social distancing is perfect and so easy to follow! The cashiers are cheerful and friendly and how they manage this with these times is a tribute to their dedication and professionalism. Parking and access is super easy - I have tried other grocery stores but none compare to what Jose is having his team do!

First time at this Safeway. I think we can all agree that right now is a hard time. Living in Palo Alto, I can not find certain foods. Coming to this Safeway, they had chicken and tortillas that I wanted. The DT LA Safeway also has a private covered parking lot and two really small parking lots. I like the design of the Safeway. Safeways are grocery stores and you get what you need. Personally I just thought this one was cool :)

Currently working in Los Altos Hills. So come here regularly to pick up food from Boars head. The customer service is the worst ever. Would've thought at least be a little better for the area this Safeway is located. Food decent taste like it's been sitting for a while. Overall employees are the worst here. Elevators/parking lot are nasty.

I seriously doubt, that I am the only person the only person that you have harassed. Harassing someone who is a paying customer, is a serious problem. It speaks about how you conduct yourselves. I'm amazed you made it this far, acting like adolescents. I didn't do anything to deserve it. Maybe you shouldn't be working near people. You chose to persecute a disabled man, for what reason specifically? What is wrong with you folks exactly? You have a nice day as well Yzma. Terrible staff. I had some bat-faced lady from security bag my stuff. The staff is so racist the woman couldn't contain announcing to the entire line how I was paying. She referred to it like I was somehow an affront to her. Go home Karen. I'm disabled. Legally. It's not any of your business, but you actually made me feel unwelcome. That bat-faced woman was obviously not a bagger. If I had a face like that I would try and make up for it with a personality Karen.

The location is great to get in and out easily from Foothill, which is a plus! I was there very early in the morning, so early the smell of fresh donuts was still strong. The bakery has a good selection of donuts and the bagel/focaccia breads. Not every store has the jalapeno-cheddar one. This store has it and they're not small either! However, not one employee managed to say good morning, ask if anything was needed or simply smile. There was boxes and a step stool in front of the cold coffee section. Nearby, 2 employees were busy with side conversations and didn't realize a customer trying to maneuver through to get the item.

This is the worst Safeway store in the area by far. Dirty, terrible staff/ management, do not even bother to go here Menlo Park has the best Safeway - what I want to know is why they would allow this location to fall apart? Are these franchises?

Horrible. Overpriced, but that's the way the new Los Altos likes it. Only 2 registers open with lines. I don't work for Safeway or any other stores and I will not do self checkout at any store since 90% of the time they don't work. Never again, will drive further for Nob Hill.
