I'm new to shopping in the adorable downtown Los Altos so I'm new to Olivia. if I were a rich girl my closet and drawers would be full of her great Italian clothes. But since I'm not, but I do have good credit I'll slowly but surely be adding her tastefully curated pieces. And I like her, Olivia. She's so very Italian and I mean that in the best way. She's fun and funny, very outgoing, and when I'm in her shop I'm almost transported out of the U S and into Italia. Molto Bene !

This my absolute favorite place to shop in Los Altos. Olivia carries the most sophisticated designers and has a fabulous eye for style. She is always friendly and welcoming. She remembered my name after the first time I met her... 2 years later! A lovely shop owned by a lovely woman.

I am shocked at the reviews of Olivia and Olivia Boutique in Los Altos. I found her charming, helpful and frankly quite gifted. This is a luxury European clothes boutique not a mid or low end general women's clothes shop such s you find in much of Los Altos. If price is your main concern, don't shop here, there are lots of alternatives in Los Altos that focus on price. If quality is, then this is your place. If you know what to expect for types of clothes and prices (think shopping in italy or France) then you will be more than pleased with her selection and her assistance. I purchased two sweaters several years ago (loved them) and I pass by her window quite often and always ogle the clothes combinations in her window. She has a real gift for putting you with the right combinations--many that you would not select on your own. I went in yesterday and she helped me for hours. I was shopping for a vacation in France.. She was not pushy or rude or anything else but sweet and helpful and I love love love everything that I purchased (and it was a meaningful amount). All very unique. Ignore the reviews that concentrate on whether she smokes or not (duh who cares.) Europeans often smoke and I don't want to be the smoking police--i want great clothes and someone to help me put them together. Her unwillingness to tolerate people who expect middle of the road or even low end quality and prices is understandable. She must get tired of the comments about price. I think that Olivia Boutique is a jewel in and island of mediocre clothes shops (Stuart and Alys Grace excepted).

I've never been treated so rudely when shopping as I was today when I went into this store for the first time. The owner, who was on the phone, never looked up when I entered. Without looking at the prices, I checked out the merchandise. There were some pretty things. Then I saw a lovely, striped, light cotton, loose fitting sleeveless shell hanging on the back wall and it was my style. When I saw it cost $675, I said out loud, "WOW" at which point the owner looked at me and said "Our clothes are Italian and expensive." I said, "Yes, but $675 for that top seems excessive," to which she said, "If you can't afford our prices, then you are in the wrong store." I was so shocked. I couldn't believe that this woman said that to me without knowing anything about me (interesting to point out that she was still on the phone when she spoke to me." I will never return to that store again, and I will discourage my friends from doing so as well.

I just had another great shopping experience at Olivia's Boutique. I selected a few pieces to go with a couple of other outfits that I had purchased from Olivia earlier in the month. It's always an enjoyable experience and I never feel pressured to buy, yet ALWAYS seem to find something unique that fits fabulously! We had a few laughs, and I came away with a few more high-end pieces from Italian designers. On a side note, now that Olivia knows my sizes and likes, she can select pieces specifically for me when she travels to Italy for her buying trips. Perfetto!

I love this store! One of a kind pieces direct from italy! High fashion clothing for someone who enjoys unique pieces to wear. The owner is so kind and is very knowledgable about her clothing lines. If you like customer service, this is the place to go! She helped me pick out so many outfits!

I bought an outfit for an evening event at this store in December. When I came home and took the clothes out of the bag that evening the items were used - no kidding. The owner gave my some story about how the shoes were just scratched from her concrete floors. She also went nuts, rambling on about how someone from my event (intimate family dinner) came into her store the next day to say I wore the clothes. I contested the charge with my credit card company, they quickly refunded my money. A month later the owner made an unauthorized charge to my account with my number (which I guess she saved??) and I'm currently having her charged with fraud. Seriously, this woman is unbalanced and be careful doing business with her. Go to Fina a few doors down instead.

Full disclosure - I know the owner professionally and do business with her. I travel across the US and do a lot of cold calls to boutiques. Having met Olivia just by walking into her store one afternoon, I ended up spending an hour talking and looking at the clothes. I left being absolutely charmed and pleasantly surprised to find this place in Los Altos. This boutique is one of a few in the Bay area with a truly unique mix of brands from around the world. The owner is a true visionary with an impeccable taste and passion for clothing.

I have been in here several times and had never had problems with Olivia. She gives great advice and recommendations and has beautiful pieces.

I encountered the owner of this shop and was absolutely abhorred. She verbally attacked a man and a girl in my vicinity and I was totally taken aback at her utter snobbery, and aggressive rashness. Along with her annoying smoking -- she proceeded to swear angrily and audibly in the presence of children (her shop is right next to the yogurt shop). Certainly not a community-minded small business owner and far from accommodating or pleasant. This is one Los Altos business that won't see complaints upon their closure -- (presumably/hopefully sometime soon.)

The owner or some other employee of this shop just treated a group of 8 people I was with with incredible rudeness. We are a group of fellow downtown business people who were out for an afternoon yogurt break, shopping local. This woman was agitated because we were eating our yogurt in front of her store, some of us sitting on a pedestrian bench in front, others near or leaning against a thin window ledge in front of her window. We are reasonable people, and understood why a store owner might not want folks blocking their window front (though it is a public sidewalk, if you want to get technical.) We would have respected a polite request to move, but she opted to come snap at us, told us to move, and then added insults (we "didn't understand retail" and obviously "wouldn't shop" at her "high-end fashion" store). We are all thoughtful, respectful people who would have been understanding if approached politely. But this woman was just surly and off-putting. One has to wonder if this is why her store was empty.
