Los Altos Gardens, a company with several dozen rental homes and lots of grounds, employs gardeners with extremely loud gas-driven leaf blowers--which are ILLEGAL in Los Altos. The very disturbing racket frequently emanating from Los Altos Gardens is not only a severe annoyance to its residents, it is also a major source of noise pollution for residents in the surrounding homes in North Los Altos. Calls to the Los Altos Police have not solved the problem. With increased burglaries in Los Altos, the police do not appear to have time to follow up complaints on gas leaf blowers. So the illegal nuisance continues. Anyone considering renting a home in Los Altos Gardens should be aware of the noise problem and that Los Altos Gardens is a scofflaw.
