  We tried Cardinal (they are unreliable), we tried AJ tutoring (too complicated), finally FLEX has been the perfect fit for my child. Their SAT and math tutors at least are the best we had in Silicon Valley. Make sure to check the background of your tutor to make sure they went to good university, our specific tutor went to a top university so my son's SAT score was veryy high!

  My son took the SAT prep course. Didn't help much. His score was lower than the PSAT (which he studied for on his own). Now I have to get a private tutor and he has to do the whole drill again. Total waste of money.
