I just got off the phone with this lady that works there. I was inquiring about how the entire transaction works. She informed me that they hold the consigned items for 3 months and they donate them. You cannot have them back. I asked if it would be possible to see if they sell by end of November and then have the option to take some back. She said " well, then you have look for another place to take your things" and hung up on me. She gave me no opportunity to reply. I find that very rude. Do these ladies not know that reviews on Yelp will turn away customers? I guess she is not familiar with Media nowadays. I'm rolling my eyes right now.

Wow! I'm amazed to find negative reviews of Encore Consignment in Los Altos. I've had nothing but great experiences at this delightful treasure of a shop. In all fairness, the merchandise here may skew towards Boomer tastes, and perhaps the negative reviews were written by Millennials or Gen Xers? As for Christy, she's adorable. I say check it out and make up your own mind. Wherever you are in the Bay Area, Encore is worth the drive.

Very nice family owned business. Staff is kind and very helpful. Nice and affordable clothing and accessories for the women in your life!

Absolutely horrible customer service! Christy Drexel was rude, condescending and arrogant. Her taste (if you want to call it that) is terribly gaudy and she will talk down to you. You'd be better off having Helen Keller dress you.

I had a terrible experience with one of the stock clerks, Christy Drexel. She acted like she was too busy to help me find what I was looking for. Like I was wasting HER time. Unbelievable! I won't be coming back here... .

Encore Design Collections Christy has a fabulous collection of women's clothes and jewelry and other collectibles that make Los Altos a must-go destination. I happened to be there when this woman carried-in a beautiful blouse that was on the outside sale rack. She eyed this gorgeous costume emerald ring in the showcase and tried-it-on. It fit perfectly and she was giddy with excitement because it was just what she was looking for as a statement for accomplishing a personal goal. It was very reasonable being 14k gold also. That's the kind of shopping magic that happens here. It's personal treasure-hunting. Christy has been curating her collection for years. I can highly recommend Encore and her sister store, Round Robin.

If you are planning to consign at Encore please beware! This business is not transparent with its consignment customers. Both Encore and Round Robin are owned by the same person. Consignments started at Encore can end up at Round Robin, including the paperwork! You will not be informed about this change. The worst part is that Encore fails to keep record of when items move to Round Robin! If you call Encore to ask about your items (and they got moved), the answer will be,"You are not a consigner at my store, so I don't have your items here. I just checked our books." ...And then to make you feel even more confused/feel like an idiot the answer continues with,"If you consigned with Round Robin you'll need to contact that store. My website is only for my store and I don't work over there." They don't tell you that your stuff got moved! Their answer makes it sound like you, the consigner, got confused and contacted the wrong store.

The sisters that run this shop are absolutely professional business women and have an eye for what their clients will buy. They are meticulous about the items that they choose for the shop. I find them easy to work with and so kind. I can only imagine what a big job running high end consignment would be. Bless them!!

I have consigned at Encore for a year now. I started out being a customer. Christy and her team are very helpful and make sure you understand the contract and it's details. I have found great items at this store and have sold both clothing, handbags and jewelry here. Christy is fair and really a joy to work with. You need to stop by the store so you don't miss out on some great finds!

Their answer makes it sound like you, the consigner, got confused and contacted the wrong store. And they don't tell you that the sister of the business owner works as a sales/fashion consultant for both stores. She's the one moving stuff from Encore to Round Robin, including the contract with Encore. The contract only mentions Encore as the business you are consigning with. If items get moved to Round Robin, which is a separate business, how is the current contract still valid? And, surprise, surprise, Encore's consignment contract states that unclaimed items will be donated to a charity. Round Robin is a non-profit store that accepts donations. If you don't pursue figuring out where your stuff is, you will lose and they gain more $$$$. And during the process of calling them and asking where your stuff has gone, you will be treated with condescension. Their words will make it sound like the process of consignment is "too difficult for you," so they won't do business with you ever again. If you do decide to consign, make sure to get a copy of the signed, itemized contract before you leave the store! Even though you have to make an appointment to consign items, the staff don't want to take the time to itemize and finish the contract at that time. They will want to finish it later and mail you a copy. This is bad business! Without the contract you have no legal claims to your stuff! Save yourself the hassle and find a better store to consign with.

Excellent experience and Christy was very helpful. Found two beautiful 100% cashmere sweaters: one in blush from Saks and the other in chocolate brown by Inhabit. Just like my other favorite, cuddly cashmeres. I may go back for the fantastic Prada bag.

I'm in the process of selling a few items through Encore, and all of the interactions I've had with the staff have been awful. The team does not treat people well; in 3/3 communications, the team has come across as disorganized and disrespectful. I wish I never wasted my time to carry all of my items to the shop, go through them, and interact with the shop in any way. I will never bring items to this store again or recommend anyone shop here. No one deserves to be treated in a rude or disrespectful way -- we are all humans and we are all customers at the end of the day.

Had a wonderful experience at Encore. Kelly was very helpful and knowledgeable in putting a complete outfit. She knew her colors. Her personality made me feel very comfortable. The merchandise she caries are of high quality at reasonable prices. One should drop by and meet her. I would definitely go back again . Thanks Kelly, enjoyed and loved all the purchases I made.
